Being grounded hadn't exactly been a conceivable option when Kiwi decided to start sending humans into the void. But he wouldn't apologize for it, the humans deserved what they got. It was their kind who had destroyed his home after all, and fair was fair. But being confined to the reserve, with his elated FEAR-rush dwindling, had the Famine colt scrambling for a way to distract his busy mind.
That was when his eyes caught sight of Senga. He hurried forward, sliding fluidly through the crowd to the solitary place where his friend stood.
The war horseman received a friendly cuff to the shoulder, and ruffling of feathers. "Fancy seeing you here," he teased gently, leaning in beside him. Kiwi was silent a moment, staring out to the crowd of fellow horsemen mingling languidly about the reserve. A frown tugged at his lips, and Kiwi nudged his fellow horseman gently. "... It's a bit boring being stuck here, after all the excitement in the human world. ... Do you think you'd be up for a little battle of brawns??"

Senga had been... thinking.
There was no other word for it - the young clansman had been brooding ever since he's prior fight with Mengyao, working himself up only to burn out as soon as he got angry enough to go find the man and kick his a** for shattering his precious self-control. Because of this, his reclusiveness - which had only recently begun going down - had spiked yet again, making him a constant occupant of tree branches and solitary locations where other horsemen seldom went.
However, when he heard Kiwi's voice out of nowhere, the sound of it was enough to rouse him out of his brooding in time to catch the others eyes. "Oh." He tilted his head. "Yes, fancy seeing you at all." His lips quirked into a wry grin, the tease returned warmly. Perhaps Kiwi felt the same restlessness he did, trapped here in this monotony. At the question, he stretched his wings and leaned on the other, shoulder to shoulder.
"When am I not?" He asked, raising his brows at Kiwi. His lips tugged upwards into a grin. "Perhaps we can liven this place up a little bit."

"If I tell you, it ruins the surprise." Senga returned musingly, his lips quirking into a smile that seemed almost barren of the voices that haunted his head. He let his wings ruffle, twisting and shaking before they folded and he let himself stand on one of the thick branches, a hand on the thick back of its trunk.
And then, without much care, he tipped forward, and rushed Kiwi with a few quick, light blows.
It was, after all, a spar. Not a death match.
