Breeding: Breeding is open and encouraged, and there are no set standards given the adventurous nature of the pride. That being said, things against shop rules are still against pride rules. Rogue breeding is fine, as is settling down with a lovely mate.
Cubs: Cubs are loved by all members of the pride and are not pushed into exploring before they are ready. Nannies raise them when the parents are off on adventures, but the whole pride will keep them from getting into trouble if need be.
Accepting New Members: New members must go with an established explorer to a pre-assigned 'beginners' dungeon to prove their worth. Explorers are not allowed to help with the mission, and the potential member must be able to overcome a certain number of trials before they are officially accepted. SoA who fail will need to get a new exploration started, but it cannot be within the same 24 hours of the previous exploration.
Leaving the Pride: There are no hard feelings for leaving- when you decide it is your time to go, you let the others know and you go. Dispersed pride members, unless kicked out for a shady reason, are welcome back to the pride at any time. Banned members who come sniffing around may be attacked.
Visitors: More than welcome! They can stay the night and experience the pride, however, they are not allowed to participate in proper explorations unless they intend to join the pride. After one day, it is usually the job of the ranger to show the guest out of the pride to keep anyone from trying to slip inside without proving their worth.
Familiars: Familiars are thought of as pets or slaves, and can be treated either way. Some are loved, some are pushed hard. A lot of the time, cubs too young to explore, or adults who just like to have fun, like to challenge other cubs to familiar battles, letting the smaller animals fight for them. As long as no one is badly injured or killed, this is a fine practice in the pride. No one pride member can have more than two familiars to battle with at a time, however.
Hybrids: As welcome as any other member of the pride. There are no restrictions imposed on hybrids and they can do as they please as long as they don’t get into trouble or break the rules.
Non-lions: While welcome, wild dogs and hyena are normally not as respected as other members of the pride, just because they can’t quite do what lions and leopards can. They aren’t as strong. Cheetahs are also a little lower on the list, but no less welcomed into the pride should they wish to join.
Death: Death it a natural part of existing on this planet and every passing is treated with respect. They take the body to decompose in a secluded area safe from predators, while still far enough from the pride to save them from any horrible scents. Killing within the pride is unacceptable. The pride is meant for exploring, not murder, and anyone who kills another will be thrown out of the pride, if not killed themselves for their devious actions.
Religion: There is no set religion in the pride, though exploring/adventure/mysterious Gods are more revered than any others. They do not worship Gods based in hate or death, however. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Culture ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guild Leaders: (2) The leaders of the pride. Two very skilled, adventurous lions who enjoy spreading the love of exploration. They look after all aspects of the pride, and make sure other prides do not threaten them. They make all decisions regarding the pride and work together to ensure the overall harmony of the Kipwani.
Guild Managers: (Restricted) SoA who have proven their adventuring skills through hard work and determination can gain this very prestigious rank. The answer only to the pride leaders, and help problem solve in times of need. They are well respected, strong members of the pride.
Explorer: (Default Rank) Basic rank of the pride. All members are considered explorers until they move into a specialized field at adolescence, if they choose to do so at all. Explorers head into caves, forests, and any other terrain type in search of food and treasures for the pride.
Rescuer: (Restricted) This rank is obtained by progressing through and completing a certain number of 'dungeons' for the pride. Rescuers are stronger explorers who are often sent in to save explorers who may not have been able to make it out of an adventure on their own. Only SoA who have proved themselves can earn this title.
Team Leader: (Restricted) SoA who have proven their worth through great effort can be promoted to the rank of team leader. They can gather together a team of no more than four (themselves included) and enter a 'dungeon' for greater amounts of treasure and food. They can also take special members who might alter chances, as well as enter 'dungeons' only meant for teams.
Nurse: (Open) At adolescence, an explorer may switch profession to this rank. They take care of pride members when injuries occur during exploration. They also care for the sick or the elderly when need be, and provide comfort in general. They only go on adventures in a team, when a rescuer is present.
Shop Owner: (Open) At adolescence, an explorer may switch profession to this rank. Shop owners are in charge of whatever kind of shop they decide to set up. Shops are open to the imagination, and can range for making items, to trading for shinier trinkets, to storing and holding onto items for other explorers. They cannot go into dungeons unless on a team.
Professor: (Open) At adolescence, an explorer may switch profession to this rank. Teachers! Obviously. They prepare the cubs of the pride before becoming explorers, making sure they know how to take care of themselves.Generally, they are retired explorers, but some like the education field enough to enter at adolescence. They also research the surrounding area and take stock of any kind of useful information, from the rogue population to what kind of food lives in the area. They do not go on explorations.
Ranger: (Open) At adolescence, an explorer may switch profession to this rank. More or less recruiters, rangers spend most of their time outside of the pride, looking for rogues who show potential and asking them to join the pride. they also act as guards along the borders. Rangers can go on explorations with or without a team.
Nanny: (Open) At adolescence, an explorer may switch profession to this rank. Nannies can be male or female, and look after the cubs of the pride when their parents are off on explorations. They also act as parents for any abandoned cubs until they are old enough to take care of themselves. Nannies are generally older explorers who have retired from adventuring. They do not go on explorations.
Builder: (Open) At adolescence, an explorer may switch to this rank. Builders are responsible for creating dens and clearing area for new homes within the pride. They also clean up when disasters happen, making sure the pride is reachable and safe at the same time. They can go on explorations with a team.
New ranks may be added as explorers/citizens continue to prove themselves. There may also be special events where SoA who don't normally go on explorations may get the chance to switch things up. If you have a suggestion for a rank you would like to see that fits with the theme of the pride, please PM the pride mule with your idea!

Quote: I have an SoA from a previous kipwani contest: do they have to join? A: No, they don't have to join. SoA from any former concept contests are not required to be a part of this pride, since the concept is different. They are, however, encouraged to re-join!
