At least until they're adolescents. At that point, if you want him to leave the pride, go for it! Just remember that he has family everywhere. Rather literally. Your cub already has cousins in the West House. In fact, when you do look at breeding, it may be easier to find someone from a tiny and easily traceable family, or a custom who is unrelated to anyone else.
