The scowl across his face was a warning to all that he was in a foul mood. It wasn't a far cry from his usual self, though today it probably wouldn't be a good idea to talk to him. Most days, he only looked angry, but he was still approachable and friendly to his pride mates. Today just wasn't one of those days.
He was frustrated and tired of the bull that was going on in the pride. Things were getting more and more out of hanf by the second, and he did NOT approve of them one bit. Strangers were not a rare sight here in the Kizi ... as he himself would know. He'd come here as one of them. But these new strangers ... they were weird, and very rude. They warned of the return of muses, something he would absolutely refuse to acknowledge. He knew little about them, but from what he did know, he did not approve.
These new strangers, had now put a stigma upon all strangers within the pride. They were all looked down on with suspicion, especially given the new warning of coming dangers.
Which gave him all the more reason to be on the alert.

Slipper was doing the best she could to preoccupy her time, lazing out in the sun. She knew she should probably be looking for her sister, but truth be told, she'd grown quite tired of the chase. She knew her sister would turn up somewhere ... because she knew she was here. Before she may have had her doubts, but recently she'd run into a rather strange little cub. She was dark green with the weirdest markings ... But she'd confused Hima for Nema. Which meant she was definitely here, but the little cub had run off before she could further question her on her whereabouts.
It didn't matter though, she now had proof of her hunch, and that was all she needed. Now she just had to wait and let her sister fall into her claws.
Looking around her with mock interest, Hima noticed the pride was abnormally empty for such a lovely day. Usually there are many lions scattered across the beach all doing their own thing. But today it appeared she was alone.
Alone except for a strange blue male, who seemed to be coming right at her.
"Joy."
She grumbled, rolling her eyes into her head.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw her, she was lying on the beach. All by herself ... at first he'd thought she was Nema, the Lead Mummer of the pride. But as he stepped closer he realized this female was definitely NOT her.
Squinting his eyes against the sun's rays, he tried to get a better look at her. The look only served to further his first thoughts. This female was a stranger, and according to recent events, strangers were not welcome here. The strangers would bring the muses, and he did not want to have them back.
Muses meant danger, and danger was most definitely not welcome here. Fireheart and Vodnitvar had not yet shared the news, but the two were beginning to try for more cubs to extend their family. Cubs were awfully sensitive to the elements around them, and he would NOT have his cubs growing up in a world like the one Fireheart had told him of.
"I can't help but notice ... I dont know who you are.
How about you remedy that situation for me?"

The male's words were not welcome within her space, and her face was sure to show it. Her eyes narrowed, and her once flicking tail froze in place. Perhaps if she was diligent enough, he would simply go away?
Nope, she was dead wrong it seemed. As the closer he came, the more she realized he had a scowl that rivaled her own.
"My name is Hima, though I hardly see why I have to explain myself to you.
You are not the King. At least, not the last time I checked."
The words rolled off her tongue with a hiss of hatred. She was not happy to have this male down her throat, not one bit.
"Now if you'd be so kind, I was trying to relax."
Waving her paw at the male, she shooed him away and closed her eyes once more. Giving off the impression that she was not to be bothered again.

'Hima ... Hima ... Hima ...'
The name most definitely did not strike a bell, and her attitude did not help him to warm up to her.
"You should have to explain yourself to anyone who requests it. This pride is in troubled times,, you would be wise to remember where you are." Nodding his head at Hima, he rolled his eyes.
"I may not be Riddle Mouth my dear, but I can assure you, you do not want to cross me." Glaring his eyes directly at the female, something finally clicked in his mind.
The colors ... The name .... Related.
"You say your name is Hima ... No relation to our Nema I suppose?"
Ah yes, Nema. The lead mummer of the pride, and one of the only lionesses he knew who held strong to her muse. She was a strange one, and he did not approve of her lifestyle, but she was also quite capable of holding her own when her muse was no present.
He could respect her for that, even if he did not agree with it.

Hima rolled her eyes even further back in her head. She could give a damn less about anything this male was saying, and she just wanted him out of her hair.
"Look, i'm just out here lying in the sand. Do I LOOK like i'm trying to plot some evil take over?" A snarl built on her lips as she cared little to control it. "I highly doubt someone of your ... strengths could do much to scare me." Hima's tail flicked behind her as she yawned in response to his threat.
She was done here, why couldn't he just be on his way now?
That's when he said something, something that finally caught her attention.
"Our Nema?"
She questioned lightly, perking her ears at his words.
"What exactly do you mean by ours?"

Vodnitvar did his best to ignore Hima's lastest attempt at getting under his skin. She wasn't worth his time and frustration, so he couldn't allow her to get under it. It was now obvious she wasn't a direct danger. So why would he allow for her to further agitate him?
Instead, Voddy simply ruffled his own mane, and debated walking off. This lioness didn't care a thing about what he was saying here, so why stay and waste time?
But then, she finally opened up, if only a slight bit.
Yes.
Our Nema."
Staring coldly into the female's eyes he tried to figure out where she was going with this.
"Well she is the pride's Lead Mummer, a very important character among us. We cherish her deeply, and ..." Voddy paused a moment debating whether he should share the next bit of information with her.
"She's the Aunt and Godmother to my children."

Well, well, well. Perhaps sticking around and dealing with this male's obnoxious personality had been worth it after all.
Hima's full attention now belonged to the male, as she watched and listened with wide eyes and an open jaw. He seemed to have a vast knowledge of who she was ... was he perhaps her mate?
No ... couldn't be. She'd seen this male before, attached to the hip of another lioness. One who she could only presume was the Queen.
Then he dropped the biggest piece of information she'd gained from her entire time of snooping for information.
"Yes, i've heard that she has a very esteemed rank here ... but I had no idea she held an even higher honor. An Aunt? How on Earth did that happen?"
Hima burst into slightly hysteric laughter at the thought of Nema being an Aunt. It just blew her away, someone so weak couldbe put under the direct care fo children?
"I suppose you've caught me. I am in fact related to Nema, I am her sister.
I don't suppose you know where I can find her you do?"

Vodnitvar shuffled anxiously with his feet, this female obviously wasn't very fond of Nema. For whatever reason, but he couldn't allow her to laugh at the Godmother of his children.
"If you would be so kind, I would prefer you not speak ill of her in front of me." Straightening himself out once more, he now seemed even taller than ever. Hopefully sending off the right message to his counterpart.
"Sister you say? How can you be her sister, yet talk so ill of her? There isn't much you won't try to destroy is there?" He grumbled, his eyes narrowing down on the female.
"In fact I do know where you can find her, though given your current attitude, I feel obligated to keep that information out of your hands." Simply shrugging his shoulders at the female, he began to take his leave.
"Nema is a gentle heart. I advise you think twice before hurting her. There aren't many in this pride, who wouldn't think twice before stepping in to protect her."
And with those final words of wisdom, Vodnitvar limped away, giving the female not even a second glance.

Hima spat the male's words back at him, refusing to take acknowledgement of the great and powerful Nema. She was a weakling, and that's all there was to it. The quicker she could find her sister, the quicker she could prove that once and for all.
"No, there really isn't." She shrugged easily, with a smirk on her face. Though the smirk soon disappeared as he refused to reveal her true location. Which was quickly followed up with what appeared to be a threat.
"I'll take that as a challenge." She mumbled as the male walked away.
This was going to be more fun than she thought.
