 It was time again for Kuzia to attempt to prove his worth to the pride he was willing to devote everything to. He scraped his claws against the ground, eyeing his new opponent: a male this time. At least if he lost, he wouldn't feel the scalding of being beaten by a female again, though that female had exhibited amazing battle skills and he was thankful for what he had learned from her that fight. He surely wouldn't forget it. He took a step towards his duel partner and gave a nod in respect. "I am ready to fight when you are," his voice surprisingly calm.

To tell the truth, Mwale'kono was a little nervous. Not nervous in the sense of afraid of a physical fight, oh no. That was part of the job, and if truth be told, it was something that he had always been good at. He was nervous because it was his first time participating in a duel. Duel's had been a part of the prides tradition for a long time, and now that the guard was able to duel a rogue, he felt that he really was home.
Taking on the greenwood monster (which turned out to be a huge bull elephant) had taken it's toll on the male. Although he kept in prime shape, he had lost the sight of one eye. He could still see well, and his other senses were somewhat heightened, so his ability to fight wasn't harmed too much.
His large scarred front legs flexed as he pulled himself into a beginning stance and looked Kuzia in the eye.
"Me too."
