I know my problem doesnt seem NEARLY as bad as some people out there. but I am struggling a lot with my addiction to pornography and the sin of Lust. I have yet to act on the sin but I have come close a few times and now its tearing me up on the inside. I want freedom from this disgusting part of my life. honest to God if this problem was my hand I would cut it off right now.

This is the verse you are referring to right? Matthew 5:29 "If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell."
I don't recommend to do that of course! It is better that the whole body goes into heaven, so let's fight this sin! wink
I know this problem is hard to deal with. But remember you can't do it completely based on your own strength, hence firstly and very important: ask for God's guidance. Some tips: -Each time that lust thought came, try to divert into something else (eg. games, chatting with friends instead). Remember how God must be feeling when we are facing temptation. He will be joyful with us when we win, but He'll be sad when we lost to the flesh. -At least try to fight it for a longer interval: weekly-> monthly->freedom! Keep up the commitment! =) -Try to be in a better environment, eg remove any sexual posters, make a distance to sexual friends, etc.
This is not impossible. You can be free because Christ himself has died to set you free from this chain of sin. I'll definitely praying for you. Don't give up

My brother is struggling with the same issues. Rest assured, I will add you to my prayers. You will come through this. I had such a foul mouth that I thought I would never break the habit. I just kept praying and others prayed for me and now I have a pretty clean vocabulary but it wasn't easy. God will HEAL you if you want Him too. I've seen many miracles and He always has more. Peace

I've had issues with this myself, so I feel you. Whenever I've felt this way, I stopped and prayed for for God to help me and keep the sin away from me, and He has helped me. Also, Psalms 51 is a great passage on having a clean heart, and it's been helpful to me. I'm praying for you. heart

Kudos for being brave, and sharing your troubles with us. It takes a special person to be able to admit fault, especially in front of your peers, and to call it a sin instead of pretending there are health reasons and what not to be able to continue sinning. You are not alone in struggling with this sin, and it is a particularly difficult sin because of the shame involved .
James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
I will follow your good example and confess that I also struggle with pornography, and lust. It is difficult brother, and I feel your pain when you said: "its tearing me up on the inside." It actually feels that way sometimes. You know in your heart it is wrong, and you hate it and despise yourself for feeling the urge to, but there is still a desire to do it. To admit weakness is to be strong though. It is when we are the weakest, when we are relying on Jesus that we are the strongest. Sometimes I feel we have these struggles to learn to be more dependent on Christ. One thing is true though; we are an ongoing project that will be perfected in the end. Don't give up.

I've also faced this (some days are harder than others). It's hard but prayer helps.

As someone whose struggled with this for a long time, the best thing to do is avoid the computer as much as possible. Flee and pray rinse and repeat. There is no use 'fighting it' because this temptation is best running away from... it's all about taking your gaze away from God.

Do Not Judge. ''You don't know what storm Hang in there. We're all thinking of you and keep close to things that will help you, as said above. Find your wide pit, and find ways to step away from it rather than get closer. I'll be praying as well. I've asked her to go through.'' ~God

It's great that you're addressing an issue like that. Many don't listen to their conscience on things like that. I've just sent a prayer your way.
