It hadn't been Soleil's typical out and about round trip, it had actually been rather ... eventful! Which wasn't as good of a thing as it would make you think. She'd been all over the pride today tending wounds from soldiers to seekers! What on earth was getting into everyone today? She had asked her mate when she'd stopped off at his guard post to pick up her daily round of fresh herbs and remedies. Being his goofy self, he'd simply shrugged his shoulders and rubbed his own cheek gently up against her's. 'Perhaps they merely want a chance to see your pretty dace without my burly one beside it?' She'd laughed him off of course, no one would ever do something quite so ridiculous! ... Would they? Soleil quickly shook off the thought and laughed to herself, of course they wouldn't! That was just Kas being Kas, a smart alack but a sweetheart none the less. Huffing a sigh to herself, she wondered where the call would come from next. Having such an eventful day so far, there was no doubt she would be needed by someone again soon. A medic's work was never done, and she was living proof of that. Tired and exhausted, but living proof none the less. magnadearel D: A little later than promised, but I got it started! Would you rather I start our rogue RP now as well or finish this one first? <3

Depawsit Yes, start it now please. I totally forgot about these. Glad you remembered. Plamen gave a final check. He was eager to start out, but knew in the desert he had to be prepared. His muscles were fit and limber, stretched out and warmed up so he wouldn't cramp when he started to use them. Then the items he was carrying. A jug of water. A bit of food. Plamen planned that he would live off the desert while he was out checking the water holes. It would be embarrassing if one had to come rescue him though. So the young male had included a few supplies.
He gave his bright red and black mane a shake with delight. Maybe he wasn't a fighter and soldier like he thought he'd be in his youth, but he was going true to himself and helping the pride. Not to mention that pretty water-seeker he'd met some time ago and hoped that maybe, just maybe... Plamen shook his head. "Quit dawdling and go!" Head up he started to walk through the main areas of the pride, heading toward the desert. He noticed a black and red lioness, giving her a friendly nod.

It probably wasn't such a good idea to be so lost in her own thoughts, someone was liable to sneak up on her and give her quite the start. Plus, spending your free time thinking of yourself ... wasn't that a bit vain? Well, at least she thought it was! Soleil was definitely the last lioness you'd think of when you thought of vanity. She might be easy on the eyes, but her looks were the last thing on her mind. Her patients, her duties, and her mate were far more important - and even then you could see where her priorities lie. Kas had come to accept it of course, that the sick and ill came before even he did, and she had a feeling that was part of the reason she loved him so much. Exuding happiness from her every pore the lioness shook herself from her daydreams just in time to see the bright red lion passing her by. He dipped his head in a friendly nod, and she in turn did the same. But she couldn't help but notice his supplies. A seeker. "Going out on a mission are you? Well stocked I hope, I wouldn't want to see you come back dehydrated and in need of medical attention!" Her tone was cheery, but you could still detect her ever present note of motherly worry that she passed on to every member of her pride. She treated them all as children, whether ill or not, she definitely wasn't your typical Firekin. Not by a long shot.

He paused as the lioness spoke. Plamen gave a grin. He had a mission yup! "Yes Ma'am! Checking the water holes. Looking for new ones. Planning to live off the land, but just in case I have a few things." The young adult looked proud at his forethought.
"I wouldn't want to come back needing medical attention either Ma'am. If I do though, I think I know where to go." He gave wink. It was nice to be noticed and appreciated for what he did. Sometimes he thought that if you weren't a solider and muscle bound the others thought less of you. He was strong, just not into constant sparring.
"Anything I might keep an eye out for you while I walk?" As long as it wasn't super heavy he could pick up a couple of things this nice lioness might need.

Soleil nodded her head in approval at the male, he seemed like he had a nice head on his shoulders. Something quite a few Firekin seemed to lack unless it pertained to fighting. This one however seemed quite different. "You sound well prepared, if you don't mind would you share your 'few things' with me?" Of course, she wasn't doing so to be nosey, but to keep him safe. These lands were dangerous when one wasn't properly prepared, and sometimes even when they were. He seemed like a young adult, someone with a life ahead of him, she would hate to see him return damaged ... or worse. "Well let's hope you don't have to know where to go shall we? Though if you do, we will take excellent care of you!" Dipping her head in respect, she smiled in happiness and aww at his question. "That, is quite kind of you! Yes, there are many things the medical tent runs low on. Including certain herbs, which are of major importance to our treatments. Have you been to the medics before, or seen the herbs we use?"magnadearel Sorry for the wait Mags! Got lost in schoolwork <3

Depawsit No worries! School work can omnom dangerously. "Not at all ma'am. I have a bit of water in the container, and some dried meat strips. Though I'd rather eat fresh meat any day." He wrinkled his nose at the thought of dried meat. It would keep him from starving should he get lost and be unable to catch anything, but that didn't mean he would enjoy resorting to it. "Trying to keep things light just in case."
Plamen nodded eagerly. The medics were nice people unless they had to treat you. Then they were strict. He smiled as she took him up on his offer. "Not for much. Just the usual cub things." Minor scrapes and bruises. He'd been pretty lucky as a youngling. "If you describe it I can try to find it." Plamen doubted she'd give him anything poisonous to pick up. He was after all a medic novice.

Soleil nodded in approval, he certainly wasn't kidding when he mentioned it was only a 'few things'. "The water will do you well, but be sure to ration it. Should you run out, remember that leaves and other round shaped objects are excellent dew catchers. Perhaps a useful tool to add to your arsenal would be a spile. Though sometimes difficult to get into the trunk of the tree, they will provide you will all the water you need in an emergency." Soleil nodded thoughtfully, yet also turned her nose up at the dried meat. "I think we're on the same page there." She laughed, "If worst comes to worst and you do have to eat that dried meat, be sure to have your water handy. That meat is high in sodium and it will dry you out rather quickly. Do not eat it alone, and be sure to have enough water to carry with you after." She sounded so much like a mother hen, but she couldn't help it one bit. It was just her nature. "Scrapes a bruises huh .. well then a description will suffice! There is nothing dangerous like it, so you should be fine in collecting the proper herb. There is a bright flower, its nearly orange red in color, with tiny blue streaks coming from its center. Its typically found in very dry areas .. which are pretty common around here. If you find any, would you so kindly bring them back here?
The cold season is upon us, and we'll soon be getting the sniffles and sneezes. And we aren't well equipped to treat it at the moment. Your services would be appreciated by both Mothers and Warriors alike!"

"Aye to that. I plan on drinking from small springs I find." Plus he was checking on water sources and testing his memory. It wouldn't be any good if it had dried up. He nodded gratefully for her advice. Any source of moisture shouldn't be wasted.
Again he nodded. Plamen knew what she said about the meat was true. "I can go longer without food than water." The red male quoted faithfully. "I will be careful when and how much of it I eat if any." That was another thing he wanted to do. Find places with the best fresh prey. Even lizards would be welcomed. He grinned at her.
Ears perked as he listened closely and memorized the description of the plants she wanted. "Dry areas, that's where I'll be. It would be my pleasure." He laughed, "can't have our wimpy soldiers suffering from a cold now can we?" Plamen was amused that the fiercest guards couldn't handle a simple cold. "I will do my best to bring some back."

This young man ha quite the head on his shoulders, which was quite a relief for Soleil. She was mostly positive she wouldn't be seeing him back in the nursing barracks anytime soon. Least for to drop off any herbs he found along his journey. There were few like him, that seemed to have the brains to think ahead. Which was, quite the shame in this pride. Thinking ahead was what kept them ahead of the Nergui and their prey. "Very well, you seem more than capable of caring for yourself out there. Thank you for taking the time to soothe a medic's worried mind." Again she dipped her head, trying to hide the snicker playing across her lips. "Well we don't want them to hear you say that! But ..." Pulling a paw to her lips she lowered her voice to a whisper, "They can be rather large cubs when they're sick." With a quick wink she lowered her paw, and giggled softly. "Just so long as you go by my description, and look in the areas I have described to you, no harm should come to you. In fact, nibbling on a stem or two while you're away might help to stave off the sneezles when the time comes!"

He gave a graceful bow with a grin. "I shall hold your high praise to my heart while I am out. It was my pleasure." Plamen gave a laugh at her description of the soldiers. "Ah I suppose they have to be allowed some cossetting. Just don't go pampering them too much else they'll never want to leave the medic area." He echoed her giggle then tried to school his expression into a bit more calm. This healer had a good sense of humor.
"I shall do my best." Well if he got first chance at it while out, and was sure he had the right plant, he just might do that. With another respectful bow the bright red male left.
