Time had passed in an awkward collection of slowed halts, and hurried runs for Adenah since her duel with Ubawa. Though she had gone out on an expedition with others of her rank, she had managed to ask around about the spunky lion. It wasn't like she hadn't spoken to him since the duel, but it was nothing really substantial. A hello here, a passing jeer; little things. What she wanted was to see him again, and the only place she knew to look were the dueling grounds.
She went down the path with a friend, chatting without putting any real effort into the conversation. Her mind was elsewhere; likely following her golden gaze as she searched around for the familiar figure. It was unusual for her, to seek someone out without being outright challenged....it felt weird and wrong, but here she was, doing it anyway, and with more passion in this hunt than her own job!

Funny. Ubawa wasn't sure what had brought him to the dueling grounds. He wasn't there with a challenger- he didn't have anyone he could fight with. Even if he did, there wasn't any passion in it for him. Recently, it seemed like there was only one lion he wanted to match paws with, and he hadn't seen much of her recently. Probably his own fault. Whenever he spotted her, he seemed to get very awkward. He wondered why that was. Sighing, he turned his head over his shoulder, hearing some footsteps heading his way. He brightened, seeing Adenah. "Well look who it is," he hummed, "here for a fight?" Now why would he ask that? He supposed he was better at fighting than expressing feelings. Or casual conversation.

She couldn't figure out why her pulse quickened upon seeing Ubawa. Was she really that excited for another fight? Or was it just from getting to spend time around him again? Dealing with others wasn't her style, and this...was confusing.
"Back for a rematch, is more like it." Smooth lie. "You didn't come find me, so I thought I'd be the one to step up to the plate." Adenah grinned, a little more flustered by it than she would have liked. It sounded like she was stalking him!
"Come on then, let's give it a go!"Cajanic I'll let you start off the rolling. c:

Ubawa was excited! Getting to fight her again- it had been the thing he'd been hoping for all the while, and now it was happening. Somehow, though, he was more excited that it was her, specifically, than that it was a fight. Maybe he was really just pleased to see the lady again. With a growl, an almost playful one, he readied himself, shaking his backside as he set himself to launch forward. "I won't be holding back!" He hummed, before springing at her and taking the first swipe of his large paw. He tried to aim at her chest, so he didn't hit her face. So much for not holding back.

Adenah couldn't help the laugh that chuckled forward. Well, wasn't he feeling cubbish today! Maybe he was just really excited to fight, or in a particularly good mood? Or maybe, if she thought about it, maybe it just had something to do with her. It was weird to think about, but nice all the same!
She didn't have time to dodge, so she took the thump to the chest, but that didn't mean she wouldn't strike back! Even being pushed back a little didn't stop her from raising her own paw, moving it to thwack his shoulder. "I would be insulted if you did!" And she would, since she knew he had more fire than any lion she'd seen yet.

The hit to the shoulder was much harder than he had expected it to be, but that was probably because he always under-estimated his opponent. If anyone asked, it was because he hadn't been able to fight her so long that he had forgotten that she was actually really good in combat, not that he was too arrogant for his own good. Never that. "Ouch!" he huffed, though he was quick to recover, turning towards her and attempting to knock her over by swiping at her paws.

Cajanic Bringing the pain or maybe just keeping up with the tango. xD Adenah never really knew how much she should put of herself into a fight, since she tried to do it as little as possible. She had the spunk, just not the drive to beat another senseless, like her wayward brothers. A part of her regretted hitting him the way she did, but that moment of weakness was pushed down by a spark of pride. Yeah, take THAT... so long as you're okay.
She bounced up to avoid his sweep, bringing a paw up herself to try and bat at his head. The angle was curved, a mishap on her part.

Ubawa had been moving in for another attack when he saw her paw swipe at him. He saw it moving his way, and ducked to try and keep himself from getting smacked. Thankfully, it looked like her aim had been a little bit off, and he managed to get out of the way of any disorienting damage. However, he found he was in too awkward a position to make an attack of his own, and had to focus on not flopping against the ground. The duck had been too quick, and his front paws had slipped from under him, kicking up a bunch of dirt as he tried to keep himself from falling.

Cursing, she fumbled to find solid footing after her failed attack. Her paws found ground, but lost it just as quick. She had to force herself not to chortle upon seeing Ubawa floundering around, giving in to a grin instead.
Using her position to her advantage, Adenah moved in for the strike, but unfortunately her footing was no better now than it had been. One paw slid under her body, the other crossing before it, causing the lioness to take a tumble into the sand. "Oomph!"

Ubawa had been expecting some kind of attack as he got himself back to his feet, but shaking the sand from his eyes revealed that she had ended up flopping over just like he had. A laugh escaped him and he sprang at her, the male grabbing hold of the end of her tail with his mouth. He wasn't digging in his his teeth, more keeping it there so he could give it a bit of a tug. to get her back to her feet? Maybe. Or maybe he was just having a bit of fun. It was probably the most ridiculous fight he'd ever been in, but he was enjoying himself immensely.

Cajanic They are just that close lol Adenah shook her head, spitting out a mouthful of sand with a grimace. The laugh caught her off guard, and when she looked up she couldn't help grinning. The seriousness of this duel was shot to the underworld, but she didn't much care. She would have been able to stand if she wasn't so busy unsuccessfully batting him off her tail with ill placed kicks.
One of her kicks, along with the tugging and the way she was laid out caused her to flop on her back with a loud huff. If this were a serious duel she would half expect him to go for her exposed underbelly, and the panic showed in her expression.

She was on her back! That meant she was open for an attack. Though, at that time, he really didn't feel like doing anything really serious. Maybe it hadn't been fated to be a real duel from the start. He had been too excited just to see her again to be super serious. And now... well, now there was no hope of being the rough and tumble warrior he liked everyone to think he was. He flopped on top of her, pinning her against the ground with his large frame. "I think I've won this one, too," he chuckled as he looked down at her.

Cajanic Looks like he's won again xD She felt a little push of air expel when he pinned her, and as much as she struggled she could make him move. Adenah grunted, giving into a little growl as she tried to weasel her paws before them, but all that succeeded in was getting one stuck.
Sticking up for female kind. Feminism at it's best, right there. Pinned on her a** after the second lost duel under the same male.
Still, she couldn't really stop smiling. "Best two out of three?" Adenah teased. Although she had no real desire to have her a** handed to her a third time, she couldn't wouldn't mind getting to know him. And this was the only real excuse she had.

Ubawa flopped beside her on the floor, amused. It was weird, he probably would have been just as pleased even if he hadn't won. Not that it could REALLY be considered a proper win, anyway. More than a battle, it had just been... fun. Such a rare thing for him to admit having from time to time. "Whenever you want, where ever you want," he told her with a chuckle. He would be more than happy to keep going until she won one, or until they were both just too pooped to care anymore. As long as he got to spend the time with her, he seemed happy.
