Hu, while proud to be among the council members of the colony, did hate one thing about his job. Socialising. In that respect, the worst part about the colony in general was the festivals, because he would be expected to speak. Him, and the other council members but they were strangely absent when it came to opening the Feast of Peace.

It was a ceremony designed to bring the colony together with the rogues, and those who would normally be carefully monitored were along to walk amongst the pridal lands. Even prey beasts were allowed within the ceremony, though Hu thought that was always tempting fate. Why walk amongst leopards and, occassionally, other species, when you were so delicious yourself?

Leaping into the twisted tree at the centre of the clearing, Hu presented himself on the branch in a fix position. Those who had gathered would surely see him.

"Welcome to the Feast of Peace," he spoke, voice booming when usually he was quite soft spoken. "If you are a stranger to our colony, welcome and enjoy the hospitality. If you are one of us, remember that this is a celebration of peace amongst us all-" a dark gaze flicked to Arcus, the pride's antisocial captain "-do treat the visitors with respect."

And for goodness sake, try not to start a war, he thought to himself.

Motioning a paw towards the feast laid out below, for once spread wide on the floor rather than the trees, to allow for any visitors who were not as efficient at climbing. "Enjoy!"

He leapt from the tree, knowing his speech should have been longer but not wishing to talk anymore. Surely others in the colony would be more willing to make friends.

This is an event for the pride concept Elimisha'sombea.

It is open to all leopards or familiars - rogue or in the colony. If you don't have a familiar or leopard free, you may RP a non-lined species, but remember - prey has to move fast in a colony of leopards. You can RP lions and other species, however the pride is aimed at leopards and so a non-leopard species may struggle in the thick forest environment.

❤ If you win this prize, she and her familiar MUST stay in the colony unless the colony does not become official or disbands (after 3months of disbanding, she is yours to do as you wish, and if the pride does not become official in 1year, same principle.)

❤ She is a COUNCIL member for the military sector. She is subject to the activity rule of council in the interest thread. Yes, she does come with her familiar - who may take any rank you wish.

❤ For your post to be valid, you must have at least 100words in your RP post.

❤ This is the festival of peace, but that does not mean you can't start a little drama! Please, no outright war or attacks, but attitude and drama is welcomed (please be respectful of IC and OOC reactions).

The middle sized black leopard had wandered, he seemed to be keen on finding event after event. Visiting, doing something of a taste testing than leaving to explore other options. Gwarredd had always been on the road, he knew no other lifestyle and it seemed to suit his somewhat off personality. He was certainly not social, he enjoyed a dip into some conversations, but often found himself outside of them and peering in. Since that seemed rather creepy to him he avoided it, why interrupt something he wasn't invited to.

As each paw lifted and hit the ground in a unique rhythm all his own he reached an enticing smell, closer and closer. He had heard about this event among the trees basically. Whispers here and there had trickled freely among rogues and pride members alike. "Free food?" He remembered himself asking, that was typically the final reasons of his going, where there was food there would usually be good company, perhaps a couple ladies to flirt with and more.

It didn't seem to take long to arrive to quite a large clearing, surrounding that clear was a leopards best friend, climbing trees. Gwarredd took a moment to remember many of his favored trees he had given up to wander from pride to pride. "Ah, here we are." He said softly, eyes gazing from the leopards already present and the food. Than a voice boomed, immediately catching the attention of most everyone and causing silence rapidly. Gwarredd felt his rump hit the ground as the male gave his brief speech, one thing he had learned was to respect the ways of a pride if respect was not given where the pride deserved than you'd be let go before food or other events began. This simply could not happen and his growling stomach agreed.

Another rule, even if the speech and other things are completed, don't dash for the food. It was rude to go before pride members, at least in his own eyes. It was at this time he took a moment to really see who was all here.

It had been a long while since Sanii had felt at home. When he was a child, he was grounded and out in the open and frightened of everything. He didn't want to admit that there were things that still terrified him, but since taking to the trees some of his fears lessened. They weren't gone completely, no! They would never truly go away, he thought, but it was a start.

The small leopard had placed himself in a low-hanging branch, listening to the council member's speech. He focused on the orange male for a moment until the other left his space.

He wasn't sure, personally, if he should leave his space in the tree, but after a few hesitating moment, he dropped to the ground to join the other leopards and creatures that joined them in the Feast of Peace.

The likes of such a nervous leopard had never even passed in front of Gwarredds eyes until he spotted a very anxious female wandering his way. The black pelted male had to do everything in his power to stop himself from asking the silly question of 'why'. How on earth could she be so nervous among her own kind, he would probably never understand even if he asked and got an answer. Instead he put on a rather dashing smile and asserted a more open and welcoming seated position.

"You're more than welcome to join me." He said, his grin becoming more gentle as he got a steady chance to peer into her eyes. The fear seemed undying and he suddenly had a need to wash away a bit of that fear, even if it would be for a little while. "My name is Gwarredd, what is yours?" He gently patted the ground right next to him. Perhaps it was strangers, perhaps she lived here and did not enjoy in partaking in the company of strangers. That must also have been false though because she would have had someone else if that were the case.

"Have you come this way to partake in the luscious meal?" He was just making general conversation now and had forced himself to forget all the other questions.

Ua bounced from her position seated on a tree branch, watching the feast begin. Hu had come over to join her, knowing his daughter would be enjoying the feast, and he could escape from socialising, however Ua had other plans for the pair of them.
Spotting Sanii, a newer member of the colony, Ua bounced. She loved making friends!

"How are you enjoying the feast, Sanii?" She asked, bouncing onto a branch closer to him, abandoning Hu where he continued to sit, anti-social.

Hu groaned to himself. Ua would be the death of him, slowly but surely. However, she had yet to engage him in her attempted conversation, so he stayed to himself, watching the crowd around him interact.

Manar hadn't been part of a celebration in a long time. He imagined it was because he hadn't been in a colony in a long time. His last home had been disbanded, leaving him to roam the rogue lands for quite some time. While he had enjoyed spreading stories and learning new things, he had never felt... quite like he was happy. Truly happy. As he had felt when he had been part of a real home.

A large sigh escaped him and he looked up when he heard a voice break through the air. Yes- a celebration. That's what it was. In more ways than one.

For Manar, he was celebrating finally having a home again. It had been a long time coming, and he was sure he was still going to have to adjust to a lot of differences between his old and new home, but he was already feeling like he had made a good choice. More than that, it felt like they appreciated his stories and knowledge. Good thing he didn't make up quite so much anymore.

It was actually nice to be needed.

The story teller looked around, though for a change of pace he didn't really know who to talk to. It was weird being quiet.

It was as though his smile had solved a small portion of her problems, had she really been that worried? He guessed so because even as she took a place next to him she didn't sit directly next to him, instead she sat facing him. Odd as it was he still accepted her company and smiled back a little bigger. "That is a very nice name, Anju." He said happily. "It's very lovely to make your acquaintance." It was at that moment he decided to take a chance to admire the females pelt, she had very easy to look at colors. Gentle greens and pinks fluffed up and around and her and than he spotted the heart on her nose. He focused on this until she spoke again.

"Ah, well, by the look of those around us this could easily turn into a fantastic event." He laughed in return, it was nice to share laughter with another. Gwarredd knew very little of the sound and though it sounded odd coming from him he enjoyed it. "Once they are done talking, would you like to accompany to get food?" He offered politely. If they were both new than it would be nice for them to go together.

Sanii nearly jumped out of his skin when Ua came up, but luckily he managed to restrain himself. He should really learn to pay closer attention! He smiled at her, giving a small nod in greeting. "I'm enjoying it very much," he told her sincerely. He couldn't lie if he wanted to. His stutter always came with a vengeance when he tried to tell a mistruth, so he stopped doing when he became an adult.

"And what about you both?" he tilted his head towards Hu, not wanting to leave the council member out of the conversation. The male did seem disinterested in interacting, but he thought he'd give it a shot.

Asha did not often venture too far away from her small traveling group, but she had caught wind of an event taking place near by. Anju had told her about it and had come ahead, and normally Asha would not feel comfortable with that, the white leopardess knew that the other female had been on her own for quite some time before the two of them had met.

Still, it would be nice to gain some allies or at least foster a friendship just in case any of them needed to see shelter for a time, so Asha came to mingle, and eat and attempt to be merry. She tilted her head at a curious white male who seemed to be alone. "Hello," she offered, approaching him. There was no need to sit alone at a feast!

Ua beamed at him, always pleased to talk to colonists that were not grumpy butts, like Hu and Arcus, and Kianga, and...well, there seemed to be quite a few grumps in the pride, but Sanii was not one of them! Thankfully.

"I love celebrations!" Ua said cheerfully. "I'm still getting used to all these leopards though! When it was just me and Hu, I'd get so lonely and now it's like...there's hundreds of people." Well, that was a gross overstatement, but to Ua, a couple was hundreds due to her sheltered upbringing. She smiled at Sanii.

Hu could have groaned outloud when Sanii attempted to engage him in conversation as well. He understood, and was quite grateful for the male being so nice to Ua, but really. He didn't have to be nice to him. Hu would be happy just sitting and being quiet...everyday.

It hurt his heart a little to hear Ua talk of how lonely she was though. Hu loved the silence, the absence of people, but he had only recently come to realise how much Ua had hated it, and that she had only stayed for fear of him being lonely if she left. It was sad.

"It's going well," Hu said in response to Sanii. "As long as nothing goes wrong, I will be happy." Letting strangers into the colony seemed like a horrible idea.
