Ela'wadiyi Cub Contest!  Ends: March 8th at 5pm PST/8pm EST
Notes
Surname is Atadiusti, it means 'thorn' in Cherokee.
Cub #1 is one of our tattoo examples, so all of her stages are public right now.
Anyone can try for these two. <3
They do not need to stay in the pride forever, but they do need to remain until at least adulthood. Please let us know, too!

About the Family Atsina Atadiusti (Ecavi) & Abeytu Kalisetsi (Safaia) Mom is an enthusiastic, talented huntress and daughter of the Mantis Clan's alu'nadi. Until she met her mate, hunting was about all she really focused her time and energy on. While parenting may not be something that comes as easily, she'll certainly be approaching it with as much enthusiasm. Dad is a bit of a history nut, and loves learning about the lore of the Ela'wadiyi, as well as their history. He also tries to learn a bit about other cultures from the rogues who join their lands, though sometimes he's a bit pushy with his questions.
The two ended up together by accident and, while it's not necessarily the best way to approach a lifelong commitment like this, they are very happy together.

Name: Iya Atadiusti
Meaning: Pumpkin Thorn
Personality: She's a bouncing ball of cute and fun as a cub - probably slightly chubby and prone to over eating, but an utter delight. Never hard pressed to make friends; her penchant for eating everything will make it easy for her to try new foods, and along with that, things in general. She might not be a leader, but she's very good at going out and trying to do something, without any fear of failure - after all there's nothing wrong with having to do things a few times to get them right! She may by result end up with a rag tag group of buddies, always having fun but rarely getting into trouble. Conversely, she may not know when enough's enough, and might end up victim to over reaching, over eating, just in general overdoing some things.
Pros: Friendly, open, social butterfly.
Cons: Doesn't know limits, naive, trouble with personal boundaries.

Name: Agaliha Atadiusti
Meaning: Sunshine Thorn (Cherokee)
Personality: Both of Agaliha's parents pressure her, in different ways. Mom wants all her kids to be great hunters, while Dad wants them all to be as fascinated in history as he is. 'Liha, however, just wants to be her own person, separate from her family. She'd never dream of leaving the Ela'wadiyi, but she wants to find a way to make her own mark on the world. She pursues her goal with determination and while she may not be the friendliest of lions, she's willing to support anyone else who's willing to follow their dream the way she seeks to.

Meaning: Ever-blooming thorn
Personality: Aiyanna is very much like her mother, focused on hunting and being skilled at it. It starts with small things - Rodents and the like, the odd non-bonded bird or rabbit, and eventually grows. Her greatest desire is to help bring down a buffalo, the most dangerous thing anybody could possibly hunt.

Meaning: Wise Thorn
Personality: Nadie would take on the interests of her father. She would appease her mother by at least trying to hunt, but it just wouldn't be something that she'd enjoy. Deciding to try out her father's interests instead, she would come to discover that that's where her true passion lies. She's naturally determined; when she sets her mind to something, she goes all out for it. She would not be leaving the pride. She might explore for discovery's sake, but she'll never fully leave.

Name: Wadulesi Atadiusti
Meaning: Honey thorn (Cherokee)
Personality: She's a little quirky as she's an extra friendly girl that can sometimes be a little overbearing, but has good intentions. Incredibly sweet-natured and respectful she also has a lot of determination and is happy to help anyone. Wadulesi tends to be fascinated easily and thus she genuinely has a big hunger for knowledge. As she grows she will try to prove her worth not only as a huntress, but in her knowledge of the clans and pride to try and achieve her "dream" of being "good at everything!". Although she is intrigued by what could be outside of the pride, she will grow to feel an even bigger love and responsibility for the pride, and will not leave.

Personality: At first, Uwaga will take after her mother, seeming to have a good eye for hunting. But after spending time watching her father question others about their cultures, she'll find herself slipping as a huntress, and have more of a hunger for insight. That pursuit of knowledge will probably leave her with a wandering paws syndrome, where she ventures from her homeland to fulfill her need to know. [she'd probably end up in the neighboring Jini-msemi pride*

Adsila has inherited both of her parents traits. She loves to watch her father work his magic on gathering historical information and putting it all together. It really is amusing to see some get fluster when her father digs to deep. Though Adsila is more a do-er and puts her bounds of energy to use. She does this by scouting the land and bringing back what she's found on her travels of Ela and re-tell stories to any or all who will listen.

Meaning: "Butterfly"
Personality: A glutton for knowledge, stories, and songs, Aponi will be exceedingly friendly to strangers and perhaps a little bit on the annoying side to her pridemembers- at least as a cub. She'll want to know everything about everyone and eventually become something of a gossip. She'll even dabble into trying to sing herself- only to find out that she's completely tone deaf. But as she grows and matures, she'll be a little more subtle. She'll still have her ear to the ground so to speak, but she'll use gossip, stories, and information as her own form of currency. She'll be a girly-girl and a horrible flirt as she grows- but a decent, if not easily excitable, friend.

Personality: She is a bit of a history nut, like her father, but she always likes to put a slight twist on things. She loves teaching others by crafting some sort of story out of the history she has learned. Whenever she sets her mind to something, she is very enthusiastic about doing it to the best of her abilities.

Meaning: Swift thorn
Personality: Kohana deeply wishes to please her mother and tries to please her as much as possible by taking a deep interest in hunting. However, in actuality Johans's real passion lies more with her father in history or- more's specifically- tattoos. Kohana, being very curious abd kind natured, would like to do nothing more than sit around and read tattoos all day, but feels expressing her interest would be a failure to her mother. So, she keeps quiet and tries her hardest to be the child her mother wants, while silently reading the tattoos of those around her.
