After the small speech was given and the distortion crystals of each clan member who had stayed was purified (Shaheen had gazed at hers with wonder, curious to see what would become of it's cracked surface and cloudy grey coloration), and finally, the tour of their new home was given, the chieftain simply could not wait even a second longer to pack up their things and move off of the abhorrent lands that joined with Amity's. While her and Shik's home was not shabby by any means, it had never truly quite felt right. She longed for the tall trees and the canopied houses that were built high above the ground. She yearned for that sense of normalcy to be within her grasp once more.
With a decent sized sack full of her belongings hefted over her shoulder, containing an assortment of items, from plates and bowls and cups and cutlery carefully wrapped up in her clothing so as to keep them from breaking, to small knickknacks and jewelry and anything in between that she had deemed worth keeping, Shaheen stared up at the trees above, each seemingly as familiar as the ones from home. She took in a deep breath of air, her eyes closing as a breeze that she could have sworn smelled of the ocean stirred at her hair, and when she opened them again, a large grin had graced her features, one that was not so wild as usual, but much more happy.
"We should choose a large home for ourselves." She stated, as she began to walk through those trees, letting fingertips trail against rough bark as she moved past each. "Let it be a statement of our station. Elders, a chieftain, and after all of our accomplishments we deserve no less." While Shaheen honestly cared very little for material things, she refused to choose some small and humble abode, preferring now to stand out and be noticed, in every way.
