The two elders from war had put their money on Medea and boy had that little risk paid off big time. The High Priestess (now self appointed Queen of the four clans, it would seem), had already begun delivering on her promises, wasting no time whatsoever in gifting them all with a new home far superior to the lackluster subdivision of land that Halloween had donated for them to live on. It wasn't that Shaheen had been ungrateful for what they had been given before, but to expect the former horsemen of the apocalypse to fade into the background, to expect them to just become content and happy with their little setup, was ludicrous.

After the small speech was given and the distortion crystals of each clan member who had stayed was purified (Shaheen had gazed at hers with wonder, curious to see what would become of it's cracked surface and cloudy grey coloration), and finally, the tour of their new home was given, the chieftain simply could not wait even a second longer to pack up their things and move off of the abhorrent lands that joined with Amity's. While her and Shik's home was not shabby by any means, it had never truly quite felt right. She longed for the tall trees and the canopied houses that were built high above the ground. She yearned for that sense of normalcy to be within her grasp once more.

With a decent sized sack full of her belongings hefted over her shoulder, containing an assortment of items, from plates and bowls and cups and cutlery carefully wrapped up in her clothing so as to keep them from breaking, to small knickknacks and jewelry and anything in between that she had deemed worth keeping, Shaheen stared up at the trees above, each seemingly as familiar as the ones from home. She took in a deep breath of air, her eyes closing as a breeze that she could have sworn smelled of the ocean stirred at her hair, and when she opened them again, a large grin had graced her features, one that was not so wild as usual, but much more happy.

"We should choose a large home for ourselves." She stated, as she began to walk through those trees, letting fingertips trail against rough bark as she moved past each. "Let it be a statement of our station. Elders, a chieftain, and after all of our accomplishments we deserve no less." While Shaheen honestly cared very little for material things, she refused to choose some small and humble abode, preferring now to stand out and be noticed, in every way.

It was not the same tree-filled land (though he was happy to see they were still there with them on Olympus) and did not have the same smells of home--the pines and charcoal and fresh cooked meat and leather-- nor the same sounds of wild animals they could hunt. But it was home now. And judging by the available extravagance, Shik was sure he would get used to it in time.

There was always their lair in the Amazon if they truly craved the comfort of the tropics.

Shik's possessions fit a sack over his shoulder similar to Shaheen's, but he looked like a living rug from all the furs he refused to be parted from. Against his hip was a panflute, and looped next to it was his wooden flute; on the other side, his daggers and knives clinked in their sheaths. He looked a little ridiculous to be honest, but the horseman didn't care. These were things that needed to be part of their soon to be home.

Or estate. He grinned at the idea.

"We have done enough to grant us some bonuses, surely," he agreed, shifting a wolf skin back up his sholder before it slipped. Shik cast his gaze out beyond them with obvious wonder. "Gods . . ." He hadn't known what to expect out of helping Medea, but this was certainly a gift and reward. More than that, a second chance.

"I have half a mind to dump everything and explore first," he admitted to Shaheen.

The war woman would not have expected Shik to leave any of his precious pelts and trophies behind, though she herself had accumulated very little since arriving on the reserve that had been their previous home. For some reason, it had just not felt right to her, though her home back on the now long destroyed isles had held many souvenirs of her accomplishments.

And now they had a home again. A real home, and she finally felt like it was one that she could really make her own.

But first they had to find themselves the perfect abode.

"Dump everything then, but do not expect me to pick up after you. I will do my exploring once I have found the perfect place to lay my head down to rest every night..." She tilted her head towards him then, a smirk alighting her lips "Among other activities." She finished, while hefting her sack over her shoulder once more.

"Come, we'll gain a better vantage from up high." Her wings extended behind her, and with her knee's bent and then springing up as she gave them a sweeping beat towards the ground, she lifted off, intent on lifting herself above the canopy for a better view.
