Raj had woken up early and she was grumpy, she didn’t like being awake before the sun had set. The way she saw it she wasn’t built to be in the light, her dark pelt lent to her being in the night time so well that she figure the demons had planned for her to be a nightwalker always.
But none the less she was awake and if she was right based on the placement of the sun she still had about another hour or two until the sun would set. She wasn’t sure what others usually spent their time doing during the day light, things were so exposed.

Abitu as happily sun bathing in the sun, because of her lighter pelt she was able to enjoy the sun to the most; she didn’t get too hot with the sun beating down on her. As she laid there staring about she wondered if perhaps tonight she should go hunting, she was about due for a good meal. She had been in this area for a couple of days now and she had found that there was a great number of hares in the area.
Looking around Abitu appreciated the view there was a babbling brook and a nice coverage of trees, Abitu liked to be in an area that had trees, trees were ideal to sleep in, safe to sleep in.
Raj was moving her way towards the brook in the area she had found a few days ago. Cursing to herself because she was already so hot, the damn sun was a powerful thing and she didn’t want to be in it anymore. Counting down the hours to the sunset didn’t seem like the way to make the time go by quickly but she didn’t know what else to do.
She just about made it to when the water’s edge when she felt a growl growing in her throat. She spotted the other creature already at the water’s edge. It wasn’t a lion and therefore barely even worth Raj’s time. The dark lioness sat back on her hunch and though through her options. Was it better to just sit back her and wait for the other to leave or go down there and get herself a drink, she was so thirsty.
Abitu was unaware of the lioness sitting only ten feet behind her. Abitu had of course run into lions and lioness in her travels, and so far she had been fortunate enough to never have run into anyone too nasty. Abitu was a very peaceful leopardess and never in her life had she picked a fight, she wouldn’t really know what to do if someone ever had picked a fight with her.
As these thoughts passed through Abitu’s head the wind shifted directions and she got the smell, someone else was here. Abitu froze even though she had never been in a fight she did have survival instincts and something within her told her that she should move slowly.
Raj was studying the leopardess and she got the shift in stature. Damn she thought to herself, the leopardess knew there was someone close by. Of course of Raj had truly been paying attention she would have noticed that the wind had shifted directions but that wasn’t important now, what was important was that she now had a decision to make, either she had to suck it up to get her water and greet the other creature, or turn tail and get into the tree line before the Leopardess turned and saw her.
Raj was even less inclined to go down to the water’s edge because she wasn’t particularly fond of leopards, in fact she wasn’t fond of anything that wasn’t a lion. She would tolerate non lion males from time to time only to appease her demon and seduce a male, but if she could avoid it she would.
