. . . Ranks
These are the general ranks. All SoA will have a rank and a sub-rank, relating to their seer ability and their status in the pride.
Royalty Monarch (1/1) The ruler of the colony. Usually a strong seer, but can be sightless in extreme circumstances. Must be a Prophet seer or stronger
Consort (0/1) The mate of the Monarch. They hold no real power, however they are highly respected due to their position. No seer requirement
Heir (0/1) The chosen heir to the Monarch position. They do not have to be related to the Monarch. MUST be a seer or greater, cannot be sightless.
Advisor (0/1) The highest ranking position other than heir and consort. They are the assistant to the monarch; their most trusted advisor. No Seer Requirement, but it is unlikely to be a position taken by someone who is sightless
Noble Class Noble (0/2) The default rank for any of the Monarch’s children. They may then take any other rank, but will default to noble. Someone unrelated may be raised to noble status by the Monarch, but that is rare. No seer requirement.
Councilor (Unlimited) These are SoA who are elected by the Monarch. This is an unlimited position but will only be selected by the Monarch. No seer requirements but it is unlikely a sightless will take this rank.
High-Class Governor (0/2) All teachers, and professors answer to the Governors. They rarely take on students, instead act as overseers to the entire teaching process. Must be Shamen or greater.
Commander (0/2) They command the Guardians and protect the pride. In times of war, they will guide the entire pride into battle, or to flee. No seer requirements.
Guild Master (0/2) They control the artisan and merchants of the pride. No seer requirements.
Ambassador (Limited*) Those who visit/support relationships with other prides and colonies; encouraging any seers to visit the Mimi'naoana to learn their gifts and offering assistance to the prides in return. They can be Sightless but this is rare. No seer requirements.
Witch Doctor (0/5) They command the healers and apothecaries of the pride. They are the most powerful healers. No seer requirements.
Middle Class
Professor (0/10) The most highly regarded teachers in the colony; their gift is strong and their ability to teach is great. They are highly sought after by students to guide them. Must be Shamen or greater.
Teacher (0/20) These are the teachers who teach the seers to control their gifts, or to understand them. Must be Visionary, Spiritualist or Fortune-Teller, or greater. Cannot be Sightless.
Guardian (unlimited) The muscle for the pride; essentially both guards and soldiers. They protect the seers, at all costs. No seer requirements
Students (unlimited) This is the broad majority of the pride; they are those who are learning about their gifts and seeking knowledge. Can be Seer or greater. Cannot be Sightless.
Messenger (unlimited) They often leave the pride, carrying messengers of visions or forewarnings to other prides or people. Sometimes they simply supply general messages, depending on their clients. They may be hired by anyone in the pride or rogue. No seer requirements.
Healer (unlimited) Someone to heal the body or the mind; depending on their talents. They often heal the Guardians after battle, or those with particularly violent visions. No seer requirements
Artisan (unlimited) Someone who creates objects for the pride. No seer requirements
Merchant (unlimited) They trade with others, rogues and prides, to collect supplies for the colony. They may trade trinkets or herbs, or other supplies gathered. No seer requirements
Apothecary (unlimited) Working closely with the healers, they create the medical supplies for them and can assist the healing process. No seer requirements
Hunter (unlimited) *Default rank. No seer requirements

. . . Beliefs
Seers The entire colony is built around seers and the importance of visions; however this is not faultless. There is a bias against non-seers. The production of seers is a blessing, whereas the non-seer cubs are not celebrated (they are not hated either, they are just not seen as a gift like seers). As such, the mating with gods or goddesses are HIGHLY regarded. Those who are known offspring of gods will be held in a higher regard than those who are mortal born.
There may also be fake seers in the pride - pretending to have visions in order to gain favor. They may live forever like that, or be found out as frauds (OOC knowledge that a seer is fake should not reflect in IC without reason.)
Species All species are accepted.
Ranks All members are expected to pull their own weight. They all take equal share in the hunting, protection of the pride, and the other duties. All families are expected to raise their own cubs.
Seer Ability While this pride is based around the strengthening of seer ability, please remember the shop rules of seers and abide by them. A seer is not a god, and their only power should be their vision. Shop rules here.
Training While some Seers may believe that they can 'teach' having visions, the majority of the training given to those in the pride will be mental based training (meditation, relaxation, mentally preparing for the possibility of having a vision), support during/after a vision and also assistance in attempted deciphering of the messages in the vision.
xxxxx"Keep in mind that seer abilities are highly unpredictable and different in every lion. There would be a real limit on how much training would actually do for anyone." Mkodi
Other Prides As a pride of seers, they have a close relationship with other prides. Often they are sought out to give visions or advice from strangers, or for other pride leaders. They take these requests seriously and see it as a way to expand their alliances with other prides. Any requests for visions/advice are taken very seriously by the leaders.
They have also been known to send Ambassadors to other prides to act as advisers to that pride.
