The pale lioness yawned and stepped from the place she'd been assigned to sleep, blinking in the sun. So this was the land of the Stormborn, she thought. It was harsh. Beautiful, but harsh. Much, she thought privately, like the lions who live here.
Still, it was a home and she was certainly content enough. She had food, safety and a place to lay her head. Yes. She was quite content. The only thing that kept her from being perfectly happy with her lot was the fact that she wasn't entirely sure what to do now that she was here.
The charming young lioness who'd brought her in had only said she would serve. All well and good, but kind of useless if she didn't know how. With a sigh, she decided to see if she couldn't find someone who'd be willing to educate her a bit.

His master had sent him on an errand this morning. Ashta crept through the lions keeping his body relatively low to the others. His eyes rarely strayed higher than a lion's ankles. Some habits were too hard to break. He gave everyone else right of way. It never hurt in case someone took offence. The pale male glanced around then slowly moved toward the cave where various items were stored for the community.
He'd been tasked with picking some new furs out for the den and picking some up for the new thrall his master had acquired. It took awhile as he waited for his turn to go through the stuff. Half crouched he took a moment to glance around. It looked like another quiet day among the pride. Or as quiet as it ever got here. Ashta carefully tucked his tail against his haunches to keep it from being stepped on. Another old habit. He caught sight of a pale colored lioness hanging about out of the corner of his eye.
