Welcome to the last Meta-ish RP in the arc involving the death of Hakuna'jina (Unless Das and Te rip my face off)!

In this event we find the pride finally tying up some loose ends as their first act of business....

...And maybe providing a warning to the outsiders the Demons won't so easily fall.

"Why should I post?" You ask?

Every post in this RP will win you a ticket for this lovely sador!

User Image

She's even clicky so you can see her full glory, and her unedit and colorist info will be provided if you win at the end of the RP.

This RP is open to all Aegnor'hini/Aikanaro'hini, Dvergr, or C'D members to play in! So feel free to join in if you own a member.

If you lack a member, all Predator Familiars can get in and out safely (Ex: Snakes, avians, maned wolves) and you may play any non-lined animals that are not prey (for example lizards, hippos because THOSE ARE SCARY, ETC). Anyone not on the Aegnor'hini Memberlist by RP end should at least be posted to join or PM Das Tor, because NovaCracker is a little bit unobservant at times.

The winner will be rolled at the end of the RP!

They needed to stop again, but Mauji surprisingly didn't mind, even if it meant dealing with a lioness in his denspace,

Tencho had given birth to three beautiful cubs and Mauji was - while surprise was dominant - happy to see his children born into the world.

Healthy, strong daughters that swept his remaining anger at lions away when they spoke or snuggled in while Mommy hunted - they were his life and he found himself comfortable and happy among the rogues he'd begun following to investigate Tencho.

It was nice.

The region they had roamed into was oddly familiar and hot and tonight he was carrying a kill back into the den with Angazam the pair of fathers talking as they'd gone out - about daughters, children, and Mauji felt relaxed doing so, Angaza humming as he sniffed. The Hyena knew they ought to leave the area quickly - they were on a pride border - but Mauji felt sure he could, with thje Hyenas, help the others escape, though he had a feeling Angaza would send Adhari to run with her friends, and Mauji found little reason to complain.

Still, he felt ill at ease, as if a poor wind was blowing, so tonight he played with his children close to the entrance of the den, Mwenefer pawing at her father happily as she meowled, beaming excitedly, and Mauji smiled back, liucking her between the earts.

Kohrisu was woken from sleep by Ri's side by a vision, the male crying in terror before rousing his mate, which was likely to pass for nightmares had Noh limped in, eyes wide with the gaze of a vision herself, and even less time was taken waking the pride for the night when tjhe seers seemed to wake with visions of a large leopard endangering future cubs, or were they past. The hunting parties were organized, but it was the voices that were carryingh rumours that made every demon rally, and even some sador as a few most-loyal were dispensed to guard the Nats, and prevent escape. And now the leaders waited as a tired Thorin approached the pride with warriors flanking, the dwarf confused as his eyes flicked about across angry frightened faces on the Dvergr allies, and even a concerned god or two before he sighed.

The Dvergr had been warned as the pride announced their first birth in a long time, beautiful cubs whom were nowbrought to be protected as the Dwarves came to aid their allies - not a protection lightly accepted, but Thorin had called all of the clans to follow to their allies when the request for aid came in the hunt for the killer.

And aid he promised to give, eyes turning to Ri as he felt Oin and Man'Tah flank his and Aanga's sides defensively, a guard of sorts as the dwarf-king looked to Ri.

Man'Tah's cubs huddled at their mother's paws, or, at least Idunn was, shivering and making soft, tired, fearful noises as Thorin addressed Ri and the others firmly, dreswsed in his full regalia.

"We are here, Moricorm. Hakuna'jina." His eyes flicked, watching Hakuna and Primitus, the Leadership god somehow imposing for once, before Thorin looked for signs of their other allies, then glanced to his pride.

"Gather near." He ordered his pride quickly.

"Mingle amidst the Aegnor if you wish. We wait for Moricorm to speak, and the others to arrive."

Suzu was still a very little cub, just like her sisters, but she knew who her daddy was and she knew she loved him. He was, in her young mind, the bestest daddy a little leopardess could have - and right now, she wanted his attention. Mewling plaintively, she nudged in next to Menefer and paws at her father eagerly. Attention, attention please daddy?

-

Next to her sister Idunn, Nana whimpered and pawed at her mother's foot, silently asking to hide, to creep away somewhere safe and stay where it would be safe. "Please, Mama?" She whispered, words little more than a soft mewl as she pleaded.

-

Asali was no fighter - but she was a healer at heart and the Dvergr lioness' normally jovial expression was instead serious... and possibly even irritated. She was more than willing to help tend any wounds that were incurred during this hunt, but mostly she was angry that the precious young lives just recently born would be endangered by - by anyone, really.

How dare anyone harm little cubs?

-

Like the other Seers in the pride, Filou was awakened by the same vision of a leopard - however, he kept his own hazy images to himself, aware that others were whispering of the same things. Instead, he simply kept his words to himself and listened, approaching the gathering with mouth shut and ears and eyes wide open.

It was always good to do such, he thought. But at least he wasn't doing so alone, now - Aile was good company.

-

Neccy was... well, honestly he was somewhat afraid. He and his sister were just beginning to recover from the ordeal that had landed the pride with their two new Nats, and now.... now this was happening. Though he was officially a demon himself now, and no longer sador, he was going to stay close to his sister. They would both be safer that way.

She was still small, still happy to be cuddled close against the warmth of him, her pale eyes closed as the tiny blue cub attempted sleep. It was her sister's mewl that woke her, one lavender eye looking at her sister as she let out a tiny rumble of irritation. SLEEP was nice, and Dhahabu wanted it.

-------------------

The Ettelen'sheleran had been quick to his paws when a vision woke him, startling him from his place between his two mates. Fear curved through his chest as he wondered over the leopard. The last leopard he remembered...had been the one who'd killed his mother. He'd followed Ri and her Mate to the gathering, solemn and silent as he oft was, pendant swinging about his neck. If this was who he thought it was...he would FIGHT.

--------------------

Siochana had been rousted by one of her grown cubs, the little wandering Nara's red paws punching away at her shoulder. One eye opened, and when she'd been told there was a gathering, the femme begrudgingly got to her feet and started to move. She was getting older, and it was not something she liked noticing, one of the more severe scars on her neck twinging. However, she kept pace with her daughter, moving to look at her grandmother and father calmly once they'd gathered. Tuli looked....drawn. That was never good.

-------------------------

Nara had been all but bouncing on her mother, bright eyes alert and eager. She knew something BIG had to be up! Something SUPER big! Trotting along behind the female that had given her birth, she had to hold herself back from going to snuggle against her great grandmother, or giving her grandfather a hug- wait! Where was Tavar....?

-------------------------

As a Himy'ainur, she felt a sense of duty to attend, her own vision having been such a lovely dream. Moving from her den, the female was quietly sitting upon the edges of the gathering, far away from squalling little cubs. The thought of them disgusted her, leaving her pelt to bristle beneath those of her first litter, crudely stitched about her shoulders. Whatever the Leaders had to say, they'd best make it fast. She had no taste for waiting.

Moricorm was not a happy lioness. For all her darkness, for all the fire in her blood, she treasured cubs, and the things they represented. Potential, possibility, the future. And she would let no one threaten them. She knew there were several in the pride trying for cubs [herself included], and then there was what had happened to Hakuna'jina...

She saw Cionadh up, just as ready to track down this leopard as anyone else. His mother had had the vision, and her visions were only of the past...which to him meant only a single thing: the leopard they were hunting was the same leopard who had killed his now-winged grandmother. And if the brute was in the area...

He knew he and the rest of those in his line would want revenge. Likely his grandmother would want revenge for her death. Kyouko just hummed as she trotted up next to the male.

"Blood and retribution await~." Cio couldn't help but sigh. Of course the crazy had to say something. He watched his mother dart from the direction of the dens with his Papa Tavar in tow, the dark lioness stopping in front of Moricorm and giving a small bow.

"We aren't simply seeking a future threat, leaders." She looked everyone gathered over, knowing some of the faces present would know what she was speaking of. Knowing, somehow, this was more for their new allies than anything else. "The vision hit me as well, and my visions have always been of the past. And clear. The leopard we seek has killed one of our own before, and gone after our cubs at the same time." Aisling felt more than heard Tavar's growl, the male remembering the death of his teacher far too well still. Hakuna's wings fluttered a bit, the goddess resisting the urge to spread and mantle them lest she knock her son and co-leader over. [She was more than aware of her huge size, larger now than she had ever been.]

"Then he won't be alive to see the sun rise tonight." Oh she remembered her death. She remembered it very, very well. It had taken seasons for the memories of her mortal life to return fully, but return they had. Every memory, every emotion, every sensation. Moricorm snorted, nodding in agreeance.

"He has gotten away with his crime...until now." She looked to those gathered, and those arriving, and then roared. "The hunt is on, demons! We shall right the wrong committed upon us! This leopard will be found, and brought back here!"

Aanga simply listened and watched, judging things as they occurred. So they sought a past threat, then. And...hm. She looked over her Dvergr, then to her sister. "Asali? Stay with Man'tah's cubs, would you? They shouldn't go far." Not with a known threat loose.

Mauji rumbled to his daughters as a whole, laying to groom each softly with a tenderness he could never have mustered in the past as he nuzzled each. He nosed Dhahabu to her mother's side, Tencho purring and grooming the cub gently as Menefer clinked at her parents before cuddling into Suzu, smiling to her daddy and sister. Mauji chuckled.

"Sleep, children." He crooned. "Sleep and rest."

Aile had stuck close to Filou since Meenah attacked, the male having convinced her to stay rather easily, and the seer stood by him, still favoring her leg as she groomed his ear briefly. While left out of the pridal vision, her mind was distracted as she watched, huddled against Filou for comfort. Her eyes caught Kohrisu's, and she blinked at him, surprised to see her half-cousin standing by the Leaders momentarily, making an 'oh' face before grooming Filou again.

Kohrisu smiled in surprise at seeing Aile present at the gathering, grooming Ri briefly as he sat a moment. It was good seeing her - he had a feeling their grandmother would have been glad as well, and the male regarded the pair of assembled prides silently. Thorin was listening to Ri, and for a moment Kohrisu wasn't sure Thorin would understand. His releif was evident when the king frowned, then spoke.

"You have our claws, Moricorm." Thorin assured calmly. "We will need a litter minded - Oin's mate will likely assist." He cast his sister in law a warm look briefly. The king was trying at least, and looked to Ri.

"Although, to be fair and safe, if you wish, the hobbits may guard your cherished ones if you wish. Hobbits fight well, and it would not do to attack a hobbit. Particularly not if they're cornered." Thorin advised. "Hobbits are... Tricky. Tricky, and intelligent."

Noh rumbled when Neccy moved beside her, the female nuzzling into her brother briefly as she listened in silence a moment before blinking. She hated visions, and this one came suddenly as the last, but a fraqntic look around before she huddled against her brother proved she was alone in this one, and the female managed not to cry. Shadows, small and warm followed the enemy, small soft paws trailing, and she gasped when it broke, head snapping up as she fidgeted.

"There's cubs wherever he is... A den? It might be near the outsirts, but I'm not sure."

Primitus nuzzled Hakuna to try helping her calm, the large male frowning at the development as he looked to Ri calmly.

"Cubs will provide us a complication." His gaze flickered between Thorin and Ri, the god frowning slowly. "On one hand it means he may be easier to track. On the other, he may be more dangerous, and if there's a mother, then she may attack and it is possible she may not know what he's done. Cubs may also seek revenge growing up."

Primitus frowned.

"It is not my place to decide but it is best to keep in mind caution."

If nothing else, he hoped they all thought, and Primitus nosed Hakuna. She was NOT exempt.

Ringwe arrived in time to hear his brother-cousin's female mate speak, and he found himself bristling, eyes narrowed. So the one the seers had been up in arms about was the one he and Runya had been hunting for so long. Well, he wasn't going to escape again. The mention of cubs made him pause, however. Cubs? The monster had cubs?! This greatly complicated things. A quiet figure brushed past him then, smiling in an odd, quiet way before bouncing to her usual odd perky self.

"Then let us dina'gurtha handle it. This is the sort of thing we were made for! We lure him out, make him think he has the upper hand. And then we deal with him far from his cubs."

"We must ensure his cubs have someone to look after them first, Dorielle." Meleth spoke up from her place among the gathered lions, sitting in the rather delicate manner she'd cultivated over years. "If there is not, I vote we do to him as we did to the crazed sisters. And we ensure his cubs are raised by a sador pair. We have at least two of those." Ringwe frowned, but nodded.

"That is a good idea. There have been males left to raise cubs themselves." Jasiri rolled her eyes, letting others decide what was to be done about the dangerous hobbit and his cubs. She moved over to Man'Tah, nudging her fellow Dvergr.

"I'll help look after your cubs. I've minded little ones before. More than just my own."

Mor'khelek had joined the others with a nod here, a smile there, acknowledging any that met his eyes. Once the speaking began, however, he was all silent attentiveness, turning over the information in his mind. A threat to the pride was at hand--one that had killed one of their own. A chill sparked in him, the beginnings of a cold anger that burned like the touch of frostbite upon one's paw. Demons dealt with demons, if it proved necessary. This outsider should suffer for striking one down.

Cothoza stood silently and watched as his fellow Dverger conversed with their, no, his allies of the demon kind. It was most concerning for him to watch and listen at the mention of a fiendish hobbit having gone and attacked, killed, those who in the black lion's mind did not deserve to perish.

He growled at the mention of cubs, followed by a gruff cough. Should Cothoza had possessed the ability to speak one could fully expect he would be vocal on the subject. As it was however, he could not speak and instead used his noises as a way to convey the obvious anger and displeasure at the situation that he felt. He might have been mute but he was a warrior. Anyone would know better than to agitate an angered warrior. Cothoza could only imagine what was in store for the killer when they found him, as he had managed to not only anger a pride of ready warriors, but rally them in a hunt to bring him down.

Cothoza silently prayed that the killer was witness to what was unfolding currently. It allowed the gold eyed lion to imagine the look of horror riddled on his face.

Moricorm listened to all, a thoughtful look on her face. She looked to Hakuna, raising a brow as if asking a question. The goddess was...conflicted. She wanted the leopard to pay for his crimes. But cubs...cubs brought a new dynamic to things, changed things immensely. He still needed to pay, however. Hakuna nosed Primitus back, looked to Moricorm and nodded, then spoke.

"One way or another, the leopard will pay. Hunt him down, call once you find him. Travel in pairs, at the least. He is a danger, and I will not have any of you falling to his paws if it can be avoided, we will not have another repeat of my death. Retreat to get help if needed. Dorielle, Aisling, Kabi, and Taswira, go and find the den, take your sador with you Kabi. If there are cubs, and they are in need of tending, best a sador couple look after them at least for a bit, until we determine what is to be done with them."

Aisling and Taswira stepped forward, moving to meet with the other two demons in their 'party'. And Hakuna roared, spreading her wings [careful of Primitus and Tuli, glad she was more used to her wings after seasons wearing them]. "Let us find this leopard!" With that said, she took to the air, grass rustling and dust flying in her wake. Moricorm looked to the gathered lions, nodding.

"You heard her everyone. Let us move!" The small lioness disappeared into the grasses, moving to collect her sister and any others who would follow her to find the killer. Aanga nodded to her mate, indicating she would stay with him in the search, ready to aide their allies in the search.

The leopard would be found.

[OOC Note: The hunt is on! Roll 1 100-sided dice in your post, and the first to roll 42 has found Mauji! Your posts must be the action of looking for the leopard! Mor'khelek could not suppress a pang of envy as Hakuna took to the air, one that briefly distracted him from the issue at hand. To see all before you in such a way...well, she had wings, and he did not. Wishing to hunt as she could would not make it so. Grim determination on his face, he fanned out with the others, senses alert for anything out of place. This killer did not belong here, and that was bound to betray him.

Cold eyes scanned the black-and-blue lion's surroundings, ears pricked at the slightest sound, his nose quested for stray scents.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 19, 2015 10:22 pm
The only one who nearly instantly took off was Siochana. The moment her grandmother was in the air, the female was running like the hounds of hell themselves were chasing her. She would hunt this b*****d down and rip him to shreds if she were the one to find him first. Her claws sought blood, Karawan snarling her agreement to this. The Demoness barely noticed her daughter at her side, bounding along as she tried to figure out what her mother was so upset about.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Tulivu was behind most of the others, padding along with a look of...concern written on his face. The news of cubs had shaken him, leaving him unsure just where he actually stood. However, with his mates currently joining them, he would tolerate what he had to do. Time to focus, to crack down on things. To try to do this.

The evening had been a good one, and Mauji was laying admist his cubs, mouthing at them lightly and rumbling low, soft affection. Three, three perfect little daughters he didn't believe he had sired. Less beleif that Tencho didn't break him for it, but he supposed she, and Upenzi, would both be more amused than anything. Menefar was cuddled between his forepaws with her sisters, mouthing back at him - so ferociously! - and the male rumbled approvingly to his children once again. Tencho was milling nearby trying to coax them away to bathe, when the sound of movement and scent of strange lions (Mauji had long since convinced himself Nasa was less threatening and more a tolerable sort) and he rose, scooping Menefer up by the ruff as he nosed the cubs under their mother, deposited his third with them, and shot Tencho a glance, the female looking back to the rest of their band and blinking. Angaza looked up cautiously, and nosed Adhari to encourage her to stay, licking her muzzle once before Angaza and Mauji moved to investigate, the pair growling low as the moved to investigate.

Mauji nosed through leaves and spied a demon-lion nearby, and felt his pelt crawl, the fur on his back raising. Angaza, for not knowing what the demons were, seemed to respond with similar anxiety spying Mor'khelek, the leopard hissing before moving back, Angaza's tail lashing anxiously. Adhari had been alone near males and they had cubs, and ere was little option with the cubs close and the ladies, and the pair of males slid out baring teeth, growling warningly.
PostPosted: Sat Mar 14, 2015 4:25 am
A low hiss was the warning Mor'khelek needed to drop into a fighting stance, claws loosening from their sheaths. As the males emerged from the undergrowth, he considered his options. Two leopards might be a problem for him to handle alone, where a single male would have been laughable. Other pride members were undoubtedly near, but how near? Best to hold off on full-on combat as long as he could, maximize his chances of drawing this out until they could be dealt with.

With a wide, disarming, and decidedly toothy grin, the dark lion's posture relaxed as though suddenly recognizing an old friend. "Why, fancy seeing you here!" he said loudly. Very loudly. Almost yelling, in fact. "And you've brought friends! Care to make introductions?"

He sauntered a step or two their way. The glint in his eyes dared one of them to call his bluff.

[Because of how long this has been open, due partly because of RL on mine and Nova's part, I'll be summarizing the endgame for the RP. The raffle will STILL BE ROLLED. That'll be my next couple of posts.]

[Although Mor'khelek is successful in injuring Mauji, it is through the effort of all those hunting him that he is captured. His sentence is to join the ranks of the Nat, and his cubs and apparent mate are brought into the ranks of the Sador, to be protected and to try and avoid a revenge story. Angaza and his pregnant daughter Adhari were also brought in as Sador, and the offer of becoming Sador was extended to the rest of the group. Tencho's brother Koiboi, who already knew members of the Aegnor, accepted the offer both to stay near them and to stay near his sister and her cubs.]

[This concludes the ORP. Raffle will be done shortly!]
