After bearing through one odd snow storm following that disastrous avalanche, Iaana'damu wasn't sure what was happening in the skies above. They had proven themselves by bringing such a biting wind that her Queen was forced to seek aid from outsiders. The entire process was a long, grueling affair.
As a servant she had tried to keep her head down and away from the main hustle into the plains. She was watched as she always was, but as she had been quick to find out, they were more concerned with using her as a pack mule for pelts rather than fearing her escape.
The thick skinned lioness padded South where the mountainous pride would break off into the rogue lands. Short dry grasses the color of her fur tickled her as she passed. The plains were nothing new to her, but looking for creatures to skin was always a new challenge.

Kikale hummed himself a song as he moved towards the mountains- he knew his brother was part of a colony nearby but, though he wasn't quite sure where it was or if he would even want to join it once he found it. Still, he felt like it was calling to him, in a way, and he wanted to at least check things out. A place for leopard and cheetahs? It certainly sounded like home to him. Of course, he had no idea what was going on with the colony or that they were currently struggling to get pelts together for the cold. He soon spotted a lioness not too far from him, making him frown. She certainly looked like she had seen better days, but that didn't mean he didn't need to be careful- lions were trouble, and strong. Especially the girls! "Uh, hi there," he offered awkwardly, "I'm looking for the Mlima Tuokoa- know anything about them?" Points: 6

Cajanic Thanks! Quaji did an amazing job with her. Seeing the cheetah male didn't bring up any hints of alarm within Iaana'damu. She had certainly seen her fair share living within the colony, and so she assumed he was already Mlima born.
"Hello, sir." The lioness quirked up a brow. Apparently her assumptions weren't correct, and he was just a rogue. Though, was he here to help out or just a wanderer? "I am a servant in the colony to which you seek. If you would like me to lead you up the mountain pass to the pride itself then I will do so."
Still, she had to frown. "I'm sorry if this is out of place or if I seem to forward, but we are in a bind. Our Queen has asked all those of able body to help in the search for pelts as this season has proven to be particularly harsh. Would you be interested in aiding the search?"

Kikale was a little surprised to hear that the colony was close, and more than that, it was actually in need of some help. Of course, that didn't make him wonder if it was a good choice to join the colony- he was more interested in helping them out. The lioness had asked so nicely, so how could he refuse? He offered her a smile, nodding somewhat eagerly. "I would be more than happy to help hunt for some pelts, if you would be willing to show me some good places to look," he chuckled lightly. a nice pelt to help keep him warm in the cold did seem like a good idea. He didn't have a thick body like lions did- he needed something to keep his lean frame warm. they all did. But he didn't know where any animals liked to hide in these parts- it was further up than he was used to. So hopefully she would be willing to stick with him and show him around a bit.

Cajanic I am so sorry about being late. Between the holidays an a family death my mind went poof. Oh good, he wasn't going to be too snobby. Or frightened. It hurt her more than it should when the cheetahs she spoke with either looked down on her because of her species or avoided her completely. She wasn't looking for equality; just a little smile every once in a while.
They were so much prettier when they smiled.
"Thank you, sir. You have blessed me with your kindness." Iaana dipped her head, offering a small, polite smile of her own. "If you would follow me this way, I'll show you to an area that I've had some luck in before. It is not far."
She began the trek with a quick look up the mountain, just to make sure at least someone saw her go off. It wouldn't do for a rumor to start that she had run off. When she spotted a leopard, some ways up the mountain, and he in turn saw her she felt relief.
"I will leave it up to you if you decide to take pelts from the deceased, or hunt for your own."

Kikale smiled faintly. This lion seemed like she was honestly happy that he was being nice to her. Was she abused or something? He didn't know, but he wasn't going to ask. Of course it would be much too rude of him if he asked her questions about her dealings with other cheetahs, or other animals in general. "Oh well... no problem," he chuckled lightly, "I'm happy you're so willing to help me! So that makes us even, right?" He would help with the pelts and then see if he could find his brother. Things were going great! "I think hunting might be better," he said after a moment, "I don't know if deceased bodies are plentiful around here." He didn't really know all the procedures for things, but that was fine. She was there to help him hunt down some nice furs for everyone. Or not so nice furs, whatever the case may be.
