My Story will be Heard
Name: Safiya Meaning: Pure Rank: Royal Guard
Why?: When Safiya was invited into the pride, nobility was all she had ever know in her life. She believed that she would be most useful in assisting the leaders in whatever way she could. She was grateful to the them for providing her with a new home, so she offered her own skills of leadership and intellect to the aid of their land. Safiya is willing and able to help the leaders in any matters that involve the good of the pride.
Personality Blurb: Safiya is an independent and confident girl that can be too clever for her own good at times. At times, her subtle playfulness has caused more than a few awkward situations at the expense of other lions. She is a quick thinker and can readily find solutions to social issues be they petty or political. Outspoken with a strong sense justice, Safiya will not hesitate to call out those that she believes are wrong or to defend herself and others. Fearless from birth, nothing will knock this girl down easily and she will protect those that she loves most at any cost to herself. Safiya is trustworthy and a self proclaimed peacekeeper, she holds true to what she believes in and is not easily influenced by anyone.
History: Safiya was born to the rulers of a small pride that existed on the opposite side of the desert from where the Canjawa'Yashi exist. She grew up happy and loved, but was constantly trained and prepared for her future responsibilities as the sole heir of her parents. Because of this, Safiya is highly skilled in subjects such as war tactics, upholding culture and traditions, how to maintain a justice system, and generally managing and ruling a pride. One day while Safiya was in her late adolescence, an enemy pride launched a surprise attack on her home when their guard was down during a festival. The attack resulted in the destruction of her home and the deaths of many of it's inhabitants. Her own parents sacrificed their lives in order to save her.
During the chaos of the attack, Safiya managed to escape the land that she had always called home, running as fast as her legs could carry her toward the endless sea of sand that was the open desert. Despite her dire situation, Safiya did not let fear consume her, she knew from her training how to survive in the desert. Though she was wrought with sadness at the deaths of her parents, she was determined to live. So she wandered alone in the desert, weak and tired, for years until she came across the leaders of the Canjawa'Yashi. When Safiya first meet Sekhemket and Jendayi, she almost didn't believe that they were real. However, when they invited her to live in their home, she was ecstatic, and she swore her allegiance to them and promised that she would always help them in any way whenever they needed it.
Plot Ideas: If the pride ever faced a threatening situation from the inside or outside, Safiya would leap into action and help solve whatever issue was at hand or lead the troops into battle.

My Story will be Heard
Name: Anai-Nau Meaning: Anai means royal priestess and Nau was the name of the goddess of the hour in Egypt Rank: Priestess
Why?: Because Anai-Nau was found by Sekhemket and Jendayi, she believes that she has a higher purpose of being brought to this land after what had happened to her. The Gods must have a higher calling for her. She felt drawn to the role of Priestess more than any of the others because her mother was a priestess of her old pride.
Personality Blurb: Soft spoken, polite and gentle Anai-Nau is a very caring lioness who will put her own needs underneath that of the pride, especially when it comes to what the Gods ask of the pride. She is extremely humble as well, not seeing her position as something that is to be praised or truly held above any other. She views herself as a servant to the Gods for the pride, a way for the Gods messages to get to their leader.
Only fearsome when her pride, family, friends and the Gods are being threatened, or her way of life, Anai-Nau can be a very fierce fighter, one that does not give up easily and will hold grudges as well.
History: Anai-Nau lived with her mother in a matriarchal based nomadic pride that wandered from oasis to oasis around the outskirts of the Canjawa’Yashi territory. The pride followed the seasons and worshipped their own Gods, with her mother having been one of the High Priestesses. Anai-Nau always believed that the Gods had their hands involved in everything that happened within the world.
Disaster struck when the pride had stopped for the season near the river, but the signs had been read wrong. The rainy season came heavier than before and the river by which they had made their camp flooded the banks. Through the chaos of it all, Anai-Nau was separated from the rest of her family and ended up washed further down the river, closer to the borders of the Canjawa’Yashi. Disoriented and weak, Anai-Nau tried to make her way back to where she thought her pride had been lost only to wander further and further into the desert and the Canjawa’Yashi territory. It was here, when she collapsed that she was found by the current rulers and taken in.
Grateful for their help in saving her life and giving her a new home, Anai-Nau took the knowledge that her mother had passed down to her and joined the ranks of the Priestesses for the Pride. It is a position she is very proud to have obtained.
Plot Ideas: Worshipping the Gods is an everyday task in the eyes of Anai-Nau. Teaching the young ones of their importance, reading the signs that are sent to them, these are all things that she will do. If I get her rolled as a Seer, then visions from the Gods will be added to this.

My Story will be Heard
Name: Ayisha Meaning: Girl in Arabic ; Chosen by her deceased caretaker due to her strange amnesia. Rank: Noble
Why?: Ayisha is a firm believer of destiny. Just as the sun will always rise above the horizon each morrow, so should she be settled for a role such as noble. Although she sees herself on with the Sun and believes her relationship of steady devotion would make her a fine Priestess, Ayisha prefers to not reveal this fact. Scribing and studies have never been her strong suit, and although she can sing and dance, not nearly well enough to consider herself a professional. Her physical aptitude is quite low. And even with all of this lack of qualifications, Ayisha believes the most resolute reason is that it’s her destiny, to hold the rank of a noble, be near and dear to the royal family, a proverbial mirror to magnify the brilliance of the Sun.
Personality Blurb: Ayisha is a noble… something her caretaker had always said. A practiced smile, a graceful gait… never could she be mistaken for anything else. She devotes herself to the Sun, her religion. Everything rises with the sun and sets when it does. Once the moon has conquer the sky, Ayisha sleeps, like clockwork; never had she been awake during the night. Whenever the sun rises, Ayisha rises. She claims that is life, how life shall always be. Her personality is mellow, neutral. Ear always open for gossip but mouth shut from spreading, she enjoys watching things unfold without further involvement… just as the sun looks over the day wars, rise and falls of great prides, the birth and destruction of life. She will share a kind word, light up an individual’s mood with a well-placed compliment. She treats herself with respect and, therefore, expects respect from others; if they fail to provide, she banishes them from her knowledge, refusing to acknowledge their presence.
History: Ayisha was found. Found during noon, when the sun was highest in the sky… a sign, beckoning her, luring her out of her eternal sleep. Sands swept over her, caressing her, stinging the skin beneath her fur. The old lion stood just to the side… the sun wasn’t block… instead, it illuminated him.
She couldn’t remember what happened, per say. She didn’t know her name, where she came from, how she got there. All she could remember was the Sun, the Sun and all it’s glory. She could spend hours, talking about it to the caretaker, letting him know her vast knowledge of It’s greatness… but about herself, she could not.
It was a hot day when her caretaker had passed. She had scrounged together his living stead, his possessions. Wrapped him in his best clothes, buried him with his most prized possessions. The Sun would take care of him. Even if he were to be shielded with the dirt, the Sun wouldn’t abandon him. She knew it.
It was still the same eve when she ran into the royal family. Destiny. It was her destiny to meet them. So, with a soft smile and a graceful curtsey, she approached.
“May the Sun forever shine upon your mane,” she murmured, a twinkle in her eye, warmth soaked into her fur.
Plot Ideas: -Servitude: She finds a servant to assist her. -Friendly: Perhaps her and the Queen actually talk quite a lot? She would certainly attempt to gain her favor. -Any meta plot, I would love for her to have a part of. ;v; I think she’s… quite the fanatic, to her… religion, I suppose we could call it. ouo;
