The house is a single floor home. It has a living room area to the right from the door and to the left is the kitchen/dinning hall area. As you go farther into the home there's a small hallway where there is a full bath to the left. The first bedroom, the master room where Mr. Welch sleeps, is on the left as well, the second bedroom, Bindi's room, is on the right four feet from the first bedroom, and the third bedroom is a free space that is a door that you see as you first come into the hallway. A laundry room is located off to the right in the third bedroom. There wasn't much furniture. A small dinning room table and three chairs around it. A love seat and a recliner in the living room with a bookshelf filled with books. One row of it was completely full of herbalist books. The bedrooms had a twin sized bed in each, a dresser, and a night stand next to the bed with two candles next on it and a lamp as well.

This was to let Mr. Welch know that someone was coming inside. She turns the door knob and opens the door, holding it open for Zero to come inside. "Mr. Welch. It's Bindi! I'm back and I've brought company." "O-oh. Bindi. Welcome back dear." Mr. Welch was an eight-one year old man who has been living on his own for the last ten years. His wife Elizabeth died peacefully in her sleep at the age of seventy-four. Having Bindi around made him smile, often telling her that she reminded him of his late wife. "Mr. Welch, this is Dr. Zero Mitaki. He's looking for a place to stay for tonight. Do you happen to have an extra room that he can stay in?" "An extra room? I-I think I do actually. Let me go see." The elderly man stands from his recliner, grabs his cane and starts to move down the hallway. Bindi moves past Zero and goes to Mr. Welch's side to make sure he doesn't fall. "I-I do indeed have an extra room for your friend, Bindi. All I n-need him to do is help me with my rabbits out back. Their pen needs cleaning." "I'm sure he'll be happy to do that for you before we leave in the morning." "Where are you going dear?" "I'm going on a run for the Noland family tomorrow, remember?" the man nods his head, remembering she had told him that earlier today. "Now then. I'll get dinner started okay? Dr. Mitaki, make yourself at home. Your room is the door at the end of the hallway." Bindi helps Mr. Welch back into his recliner as she goes into the kitchen and starts to rummage around, looking for what to make for dinner. ║▌│█│║▌║││█ ▌█ ▌█ ▌ ║▌│█│║"I will not let you go into the unknown alone."

~Dr. Zero Mitaki~ ~The Rogue Experiment~ As sanity leaves my consciousness........Zero strolled into the home without hesitation as he was helped inside. He peered about the old house, it seeing better days. But what would one expect after a horrible zombie outbreak? Resources went to protection, not luxury. He would wave at the kind, old man once he was introduced, trying to seem friendly enough to keep him around. Sure enough, he was promised a small room in exchange for small work. Though he was no fan of chores, it was better than living on the streets of this city. Once he was pointed to his room, the doctor nodded. "Thank you, both of you. I appreciate the hospitality." With that, he headed down the hall and entered the room. Like the rest of the home, it wasn't much, but livable. A twin sized bed, a couple small dressers, a tiny closet. It was enough for him to live on for a while he supposed. Closing and locking the door behind him, he would sigh and reach into his jacket pocket for something. He would take out several hospital needles safely covered by corks with a strange medication inside of each. What was in them would be a mystery to anyone aside from himself. He would open one of the drawers and put at least ten inside of it, leaving one out for himself. He would place the needle down on the bed before rolling up his sleeve and grabbing it once more. Using his mouth to be rid of the cork, he would soon pierce his skin with it, he letting out a long sigh as the medication went into his blood stream. He fixed his sleeve and slipped the empty container in with the rest of the syringes, saving it for later use down the line. After the application of his meds, he would sit on the edge of the bed, leaning back on the mattress as he closed his eyes, his head pointing up towards the ceiling. "What a day......."...... Madness is there to comfort my thoughts.

She didn't mind bringing someone with her back to her partial residence if there was enough room. They could probably fit one more person into the house if they wanted to sleep on the love seat, but that could pose as a discomfort more than a comfort. In any case. He was free to stay here as long as he did a few chores here and there. She could do most of the work if he didn't want to do it, or she could do it all like she has been and tell Mr. Welch that he did it. Either way the work was getting done. She stands in the kitchen for some time, trying to decide what to make for dinner that night. There was still some deer meat left in the fridge from the previous run she did, bringing back a rather large deer in for the two of them. She had given part of the meat to families who were in need of it as well. There was also some bagged rice someone had traded her for her herbal medicine. It was Mexican flavored, whatever that meant. There was a handful of other ingredients she could use to make dinner with, but she wasn't exactly sure how to combine everything together. Instead of trying to make something all fancy, she decided to go with what she knew. Something simple. In about a half hour dinner was ready. Mexican rice with tomato and basil along with a garlic powder, salt, and pepper crusted veil chunks inside the rice with a light sprinkle of parsley on top. Some of the herbs she used is grown behind the home where she picks it fresh. Bindi sets the table with the silverware and glasses for drinks. The plates staid next to her as she portions out the food and places them onto the table. Once everything was set, she helps Mr. Welch over to the table and sits him down. She goes down the hallway and knocks on Zero's door gently. "Doctor Mitaki, dinner is ready." With the message delivered, she returns back to the kitchen and fills the glasses up with water. ║▌│█│║▌║││█ ▌█ ▌█ ▌ ║▌│█│║"I will not let you go into the unknown alone."

~Dr. Zero Mitaki~ ~The Rogue Experiment~ As sanity leaves my consciousness........Zero would be lying down when he heard a knock on his door, followed by a familiar voice. Yawning, the doctor stood up from the small bed and would start for the kitchen. Unknown to his hosts, he didn't really need to eat anything. However, the taste of food was still nice to have from time to time. Reminded him of what humanity he had left coursing through his veins. Zero would find his way to the kitchen by simply smelling the food that was prepared. It smelled a little spicy, much like Mexican food. He would see that he had guessed right when he came to the prepared table with plates filled with Mexican rice and some meat. "Looks good," he said as he walked towards the table. He would take a seat across from the elderly man, sitting up straight like a proper gentleman. Even grabbed a napkin and placed it in his collar in case some spilled from his fork. One could thank his late parents for those kind of manners. His eyes would go to the other two, awaiting for them to start eating. He didn't know if there were prayers or anything so he always waited before chowing down. Another good habit picked up from the family no doubt. ...... Madness is there to comfort my thoughts.

He hadn't been feeling earlier that day, but he seemed to doing okay now. She was becoming concerned with his health. There was only so much herbal medicine she could use to help him with his unknown medical problems. His dementia didn't help the issue either. He often forgot that she was staying in his home as a part time resident. It would only be a matter of time before he completely forgets how to do things on his own. Or completely forgets who she was. For right now, she would do everything she knew how to make him the most comfortable. Their new guest in the home comes into the dinning room, taking the seat across from Mr. Welch. She sits off to the elder's right, smiling gently at both men. "Thanks." She says before taking Mr. Welch's hand. He was a religious man, and often said grace before eating. She lifted her hand and places it on the table in front of Zero, leaving it there if he wished to take part in the prayer. She bows her head and closes her eyes, waiting for him to begin. "Our Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for this this food we are about to eat; and we pray you, O God, that it may be good for our body and soul; and if there be any poor creature hungry or thirsty walking along the road, send them into us that we can share the food with them, just as you share your gifts with all of us. May this food restore our strength, giving new energy to tired limbs, now thoughts to weary minds. May this drink restore our souls, giving new vision to dry spirits, new warmth to cold hearts. And once refreshed, may we give new pleasure to you, who gives us all. In Your name we pray. Amen." "Amen." Bindi repeats. She releases Mr. Welch's hand and with the evening prayer finished, they begin to eat. The man looks up to the doctor, a curious look on his face. "Bindi says you're a doctor, yes? Are you here to help the Lab Corp in hopes of fighting off what those creatures are?" ║▌│█│║▌║││█ ▌█ ▌█ ▌ ║▌│█│║"I will not let you go into the unknown alone."

~Dr. Zero Mitaki~ ~The Rogue Experiment~ As sanity leaves my consciousness........Zero said nothing as everyone got settled in for dinner, he simply staring down at the food. However, his attention went to the other two as they started to join hands. So, the old man was a religious type. Once he saw what was going on, he too would join by grabbing Bindi's hand lightly. Bowing his head, he sat in silence as the man went on with his prayer. He had never heard such words before so he was unsure of what religion he may be. But he wouldn't question it. That would be rude. He simply closed his eyes and let him finish, joining them in saying 'Amen' at the end before letting go of the girl's hand. With that, the doctor would go back to the food. He would be the first to taste the grub before him. The rice made it spicy, the meat made it wholesome. Very new but good in his opinion nonetheless. Before he could taste it any more, the older gentleman asked about his work. Not wanting to be rude, he put his fork down to answer him. "Yes, in a way. I have found a way to keep humans healthy while combating the virus, even if they are bitten or scratched. Plus it can make them better fighters against the undead. I just need...... A little more time to perfect it. That's why I came here. Hopefully the other scientists will hear me out and let me continue my research."...... Madness is there to comfort my thoughts.

She then took her own and set it on her lap. He always enjoyed the food that she made. Called her his little private chef. Such a sweet man Mr. Welch was to her. She watches Zero's reaction to the food to see if he liked it. She was worried that he wouldn't, or that it was something that he didn't like eating. In an apocalypse like this, people couldn't really be picky, but there were some who were like this still. From what she could tell he was enjoying it. The corners of her lips twitch into a small smile. Both listen to the doctor's response to his question and Bindi raises an eyebrow. She was some what skeptical about this. There was no possible way the virus could be fought against. Once someone was bit they had to be put down before they changed. Even the lab techs in Lab Corp hasn't come up with anything like it yet, and they've been working for years on something similar to what he was proclaiming to have. The older man rubs his grey beard after chewing his food, pondering what the young man had said. "Hmm. Do you have any physical proof that what you have actually works? If you don't, then I'm afraid they won't believe you, son." ║▌│█│║▌║││█ ▌█ ▌█ ▌ ║▌│█│║"I will not let you go into the unknown alone."

~Dr. Zero Mitaki~ ~The Rogue Experiment~ As sanity leaves my consciousness........Zero would continue to enjoy his food when another question popped up about his research. Proof was indeed necessary for him to convince the scientists there in the city about his discovery. He didn't seem to show any concern about the subject, he boldly answering the man's question. "As a matter of fact, I myself am the proof. The serum I've made is coursing through my veins as we speak and I can assure you that it works. It just has a small side effect that I am working on getting rid of. Once I have a proper lab, I should be able to perfect my work and let others use it to help battle against this plague."...... The doctor himself was his proof? That his serum actually works and fights off the virus? It wasn't that the elderly man didn't believe him. He hoped for someone to come up with something to fend of the plague from spreading. He just couldn't believe that this could be the ultimate thing that could turn the war in the favor of the survivors. Bindi, on the other hand, didn't believe this could work. Zero looked healthy like any normal person. Other than the fact that his eyes were red. Was that the side affect he had been talking about? The eye color changing? That couldn't possibly be it. She takes a sip of her water and wipes her mouth before speaking. "I don't mean to sound rude, Doctor, but I seriously doubt that there could ever be a possible way to combat the virus and keep a human healthy. It hasn't been proven that anyone could even survive with just a tiny scratch from one of those things." "Bindi! This young man may be the one person who has finally made something that could keep us alive and well even after being bitten or scratched, and you doubt him so harshly?" He couldn't believe what he was hearing from the young woman. To disapprove of what his possible answer was without seeing what it did first hand? Has she forgotten the feelings of not being taken seriously when she spoke of herbal medications helping? "Yes I doubt him. The Lab Corp people have been trying for years to find something and they haven't succeeded in the slightest bit. If those scientists have yet to find anything, how was he able to? Besides, in order for Lab Corp to even consider his work believable, he would have to stop the serum that he has and go into the holding cells for a few days for it to go out of his system." "May I remind you of the alienation you went through, my dear, when you brought up the topic of herbal medicine to the city. No one took you seriously either. Not until you showed proof that it worked. Don't you think that Mr. Mitaki deserves a chance to prove himself? To prove this his serum works?" The look the older man had on his face would remind anyone of a parent giving their child a stern talking to. The tone of his voice matching the look. This threw Bindi back a bit, causing her to look down at her plate of food and to eat quietly for the rest of the meal. He was right. People didn't believe her and the power of herbs that they could use from nature to help people. Not until she showed them how it worked. Mr. Welch sighs, shaking his head and looking back to Zero with a forgiving smile. "Please forgive her for her harsh words. She has forgotten what it's like to not have anyone believing in what she thought could help people." ║▌│█│║▌║││█ ▌█ ▌█ ▌ ║▌│█│║"I will not let you go into the unknown alone."

~Dr. Zero Mitaki~ ~The Rogue Experiment~ As sanity leaves my consciousness........Zero would look back and forth as the two argued about his findings. He was use to the skeptics of others, many finding it hard to believe that he had found a way to combat the virus. Not many believed him until he was experimented on. Sadly, it didn't go so well that time. But he hoped that the doctors here were different than the ones he had to work with back in his now destroyed city. Once the two were done speaking, Doctor Mitaki would shake his head a little as the man apologized for her behavior. "I don't mind her questioning my work," he said with a warm smile as always. "Not many people believed me when I first announced my findings either. However, as I said before, it does have one very steep side effect so it isn't an answer to the disease quite yet. I'd rather not go into too many details about it, but I can assure you that with some more time, we can have soldiers that are immune to the changes of the virus and will be able to fight them more efficiently. It may also be used to help heal the sick and injured as well. There are many possibilities. I just need more time is all."...... Madness is there to comfort my thoughts.

"I am sure you'll get that time, son. The Lab Corp takes what it can when it can. When you show them what you have, they will gladly accept you and your work. I'm sure of it." He takes a sip of water to clear out his throat. Most of his meal was gone and he was growing tired. It was night time after all, and it was time for him to get some sleep. He stands from the table, propping himself up with the table and the back of the chair for support. Bindi was up on her feet and by his side. "If you'll both excuse me, I wish to lie down." An arm wraps around the woman's waist as the two head off down the small hallway and enters the master bedroom where Mr. Welch slept. She helps him into his bed clothes and into bed, covering him up and pouring a glass of water by his bedside in case he needed it. They said their goodnights and she exits the room, shutting the door behind her. She returns to the dinning room and clears the table of Mr. Welch's plate and her own, going into the kitchen to scrape what was left of the food into a bag under the sink. She was quiet for some time. She had forgotten what it was like to be scolded. Her parents had died long ago, so hearing the tone of voice the old man reminded her of them. After the dishes were scraped and left in the sink to soak for a little while, Bindi turns and looks over to Zero's direction. Whom was still sitting at the table. "Dr. Mitaki. I...I want to apologize for being so rude to you. I shouldn't be so quick to judge that what you have won't work. It's just...it's been so long since the outbreak started. In one hundred years no one has found a cure for the virus. The possibility of having one now is rather, suspect, you know?" ║▌│█│║▌║││█ ▌█ ▌█ ▌ ║▌│█│║"I will not let you go into the unknown alone."

~Dr. Zero Mitaki~ ~The Rogue Experiment~ As sanity leaves my consciousness........Zero would continue eating throughout the small time of silence. It was slightly tense thanks to the man's risen voice, but it was calmed when he decided to retire for the evening. His mind would go to his food when they both left, leaving him in peace as he finished his dinner. By the time Bindi returned, his plate would be empty, he eating every last bit. As she apologized for her reply to his statement before, he would stand up, shaking his head a little. "As I said before, I don't mind the criticism. Besides, you're right. It does seem out of reach. And it may very well be. I never said I knew a way to cure the disease. That would be a lie. I just found a way to..... Use it against the threat in a way." He would head over to the sink with his empty plate, soon dropping it delicately into the soapy water for it to soak. ...... Madness is there to comfort my thoughts.

She leans up against the counter, wrapping her arms around her waist as Zero walks over and sets his plate into the sink. A slight smile comes to her face. "Thanks." The woman turns and grabs a box of matches from the windowsill. Then she takes a match out and strikes it, lighting the candles that were sitting around the counter. This method saved on the use of electricity, even though there was plenty of it. She just liked having the candles because it provided light inside while the lights were out. "You should probably get some sleep. We have a two day journey tomorrow to get the supplies I need. Don't worry about the rabbits pen in the morning. I'll get that for you." Bindi chuckles, blowing out the match and setting it in the water so that it wasn't hot when she placed it onto the counter. She flips out the light switch to the dinning/kitchen area, leaving the only light to be the lit candles. She takes a rag and sticks it into the water to get wet, then grabs the bar of soap sitting on the side of the sink and gets it all soapy. "Goodnight, Dr. Mitaki. ~Dr. Zero Mitaki~ ~The Rogue Experiment~ As sanity leaves my consciousness........Zero simply shrugged at her apology now. She surely knew that he thought it was alright. He said so twice now. Once that was tossed aside though, she would soon talk about the little trip that they will be taking for the next couple days. He had almost forgotten already actually. He was slightly curious to see what they would have to hunt for, but he was sure that the answer would come in time. He gave her a smile as she took over the chore that he was suppose to do. "Thanks, I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight." Once Bindi was out of sight, Zero would go towards his room and shut the door behind him. He went to lock it but the handle was old so it had none. Oh well. Dismissing the problem, he would shed himself of his layers of shirts, keeping his pants on for the night. He always found sleeping like this was more comfortable anyways. After kicking off his shoes, the doctor would plop onto the bed with a thud and quickly start to fall asleep. He's had a very long day so he most certainly needed the rest........ ......
