Zariel had been having a rough week. It had started with getting separated from what was left of her pride and her family in what she THOUGHT would be an excellent game of hide and seek as a prank, but had ended with her being incredibly lost and, for the first time in her life, being completely alone.

It wasn't that being alone scared her, quite the opposite, she had a lot less to worry about without making sure everyone was taking care of themselves. Which... she wasn't actually very good at. Sure, she could make the others smile or laugh, or on occasion get incredibly pissed off with her attempts at humor, but when it came to actually being useful... well.

Either way, she did have to figure out where they went so that they'd know she hadn't fallen off a cliff and died. That wouldn't be much of a prank... or at least a meaner one than her usual "hide your dad's favorite bone" or "make your mom think there's a jackle stealing her favorite part of the gazelle every day".

"Ugh. The worst." Zariel sighed, sitting down and looking around.

User Image It wasn't often that the two brothers went out and about into the rouge lands, but when they did they had a time of it. Today seemed to be a rather lax day for the both of them though. P'xan really hadn't felt like getting into anything too crazy. Perhaps stir up a herd of wild beasts or see if there were any rouges that might want to join the pride. He just wanted things to be simple and easy going, nothing too rambunctious. They weren't the cubs they used to be anymore and had a part to play in things, but they still had fun when they wanted to. He nudged his brothers shoulder and gestured towards a speck of white, pink and blue. It looked feline in nature. "Want to go check it out?" He asked as he paused momentarily waiting for his brothers response.

User Image Dark ears flicked slightly and he almost startled when his brother nudged him. Being a priest for the pride his role in life was a little different than his warrior brothers, however he still knew how to fight, hunt and most importantly have a good time. His golden gaze followed his brothers direction and he spotted what his brother noticed. "Nothing else of much interest has happened thus far. Perhaps whomever is ahead will enlighten us a bit." He said with a smile. He nudged his brother back and the two continued towards the form.

As they neared it became apparent that the form was indeed that of a lion and she seemed to be a bit perplexed by her body language. "I see you sister. Is something troubling you?" He asked as they came within ear shot. Tanhi didn't want to startle her and neither did P'xan so the two of them kept a claws breath away in case she wasn't the most friendly. "We don't bite. Unless you bite first" P'xan really wasn't good with these kinds of things.

Zariel turned, a but startled to see the two males, but they didn't look very hostile, and it wasn't really in her nature to think the worst of others at first glance. Not if she could avoid it anyway. She grinned, scratching her head, "Oh, no worries boys, I only bite on request." She winked, giggling.

"And I'm fine, just a little turned around actually. I was looking for a canyon nearby, but I wandered off into the forest and now I'm completely turned around." She gestured to her nose. "Afraid I have the absolute worst sense of smell. And sense of direction." She admitted, "Any chance you fine gentleman could help a lioness out?" It certainly didn't hurt that they were handsome boys. She wondered if there was a pride around or if they were just a wandering family like hers was?

"I'll make sure to keep that in mind." He said jestingly with a grin on his face. He looked over at Tanhi who had already made himself somewhat comfortable it seemed. He listened to what she was saying and he honestly wasn't going to be much help there and he glanced at his brother to see if there was anything he might know.

Tanhi smiled and let out a light sigh. "We know the jungle behind us pretty well, it's where our home is..." He paused and looked around the vast landscape of the rouge lands before continuing. "There may be a canyon a little off in that direction, but I honestly can't be sure about that." He wish he could have helped her out a little more, but it was all he knew and his brother was probably in the same boat.

"I'm sure your not all as bad at those things as you think you are." He was definitely willing to help her out by any means though.

Zariel grinned, glad at least for a direction to walk in, especially since she was... pretty sure it was in the direction to go? More or less? Probably? It seemed to be in the opposite direction of where she'd been headed so that could have been a good sign. Or a very bad sign. I really am horrible with directions. Oh well.

She giggled again though, enjoying the brother's company, "Oh, I'm good at lots of things. Just not everything. Perfection is a work in progress. With my sense of direction and your directions, maybe we can all make it through this alive, hm?" She looked back in the direction they'd indicated, retracing her steps in her head, and trying to recall the advice her parents had given her in terms of where to follow the sun if they ever got separated.

How was it she had been so much better at listening as a child? She'd forgotten half the advice she'd been given over the course of her life. Or so it seemed to her, anyway.

Who liked being perfect? P'xan surely wasn't one for those kinds of things and as far as he knew his brother wasn't either. Having flaws is what gave someone character. He laughed at her words. Yes. Perhaps they would make it alive if they put two and one together. "I do believe we have forgotten our manners sister." He said standing up to formally introduce himself and his brother. "My name is P'xan and this is my Brother Ila'Tanhi. We call him Tanhi for short though." He said giving her a warm grin.

At his brothers words he stood up as well and gave her a slight nod of his head when his name was mentioned. "May we have the pleasure of knowing your name?" He asked since his brother had forgotten to ask. Sometimes it was an automatic response for one to give their name in return when introductions were being made but it wasn't always a given. "Perhaps we can help you find your family. I'd say you are more than welcome to come with us to our Pride but there's a bit of a restriction on the color you so proudly wear." He said motioning to the pink within her pelt.

Zariel smiled, doing a sweeping bow, "Zariel'Vox. Zariel to my friends. And everyone else. Long names, am I right?" She grinned at Tahni. "And I wouldn't worry about me... well, I'm pretty... colourful. You guys are very... blue." She grinned, "So I'm not blue enough, that's what you're saying? And here I thought I was so cute." She preened in fake horror.

"I'd love a guiding light though. They're around here somewhere, and they won't go far without me. Like I said, I'm just so cute they couldn't possib;y survive without my sparkling personality."

Or they'd bail because they were getting sick of all her pranks. That was also possible but she was kind of hoping that wasn't the case.

Wasn't that the truth. If anyone had a name longer than 5 syllables you got a nick name. P'xan and Tanhi couldn't help but laugh at what she said. And both were rather sure she was referring to their color and not their personality but regardless, it could have gone either way and it definitely could be taken as such. It was funny none-the-less.

"We do have those with your colorful appearance, however it's minimal. You definitely stand out in a crowd." He said with a wink.

"We'd be glad to help you look though. Even if we might not be of too much assistance." The most they could offer was their company and an exchange of words.

"Well now, how could I possibly say no to having two such handsome gentlemen escorting me?" Zariel grinned, standing up and heading in the direction they had indicated. "Which is to say, please! I could really use the company. Talking to yourself is a bit dull."

She trotted forward, motioning with her tail for them to follow, swaggering as she walked. They were fun after all, and she would rather be a crowd than just on her own any day of the week. Especially when she'd been lost by herself for so long!

Handsome gentlemen. P'xan chuckled. She was too charming. But they were not that good looking. "I can assure you, we aren't that handsome. But I suppose we can do for now." He said playfully as he followed in behind her.

"I would imagine being alone for a long period of time would get a bit dull. I'm glad that we are here to alleviate such a thing." He followed his brother and Zariel in the direction she was heading.

"Where do you think your family might be?"

"And now whose underestimating themselves? You're lovely, darling don't sell yourself short!" Zariel said, jumping forward and spinning around to face them, walking backwards as she did so, "Or is everyone in your pride just especially good looking so you don't have any point of comparison? I can promise you that there are many plain lions out there. Or dull ones. But we three? No, I think we're solid in the looks department."

She laughed, turning around and bounding onward again. "And my family... well, probably somewhere around the canyon wondering if I've managed to fall in it. I wouldn't usually consider myself clumsy so maybe I'm lucky and they've figured out I just managed to get myself lost. Terrible sense of direction, but graceful I've got down."

She was true in the words she spoke, whether she knew it or not. Though in their eyes, they were all ordinary of the sorts. She was a bit of an anomaly compared to what they were used too seeing.

"I assure, we are accustomed to mainly blue, black or violet hues. You are definitely a sight to behold." His words were as true as could be and he smiled at her comment. "I have to agree, we do stand out in a crowd out here."

P'xan watched her as she turned around and walked backwards continuing to tell them about where they were to be heading and he laughed. "I think they'll believe you were lost before believing you had fallen in. You are pretty nimble on your feet"

"Well then, I wish I was blue enough to join your club, boys. I am rather partial to the colour myself, so if you two think you're average looking then I am clearly in the wrong group." Zariel giggled, slowly down a bit so she could walk beside them. They were a friendly sort, and she was glad she had met some company. Especially when they were hardly difficult on the eyes.

"Though if it makes me seem all the more exotic, I'll try not to complain too much. I admit, flattery will get you everywhere. Go on, more about how lovely and graceful I am." She giggled, nudging each of them with her shoulder before she continued on her way.

"Well, it's not so much you're lack of blue. It's your excess of vibrant hue that would set you apart. You would be able to stay, but you wouldn't be able to be anything but an Acolyte within our clan." He said simply as they continued onwards.

"It truly does, make you look exotic. I like it." His voice was quiet on the last bit and he smiled as she nudged himself and his brother as they kept moving in what he hopes was a way to her family. Though, if they did not find them soon he wouldn't mind taking her back to their pride for her to stay and rest.

"Well, nice to know if I really am completely lost I'll be in good company." Zariel sighed, looking a little sad at the idea that she might not be able to find her family, but that had always been a possibility... just one she hadn't really considered.

She giggled, happy to be distracted again by the boys, "You're both so sweet. Thank you again for helping me. You didn't have to and well... I really appreciate it." She grinned, shrugging helplessly and continuing on her way, wondering if she would find her people. "It's nice to know you're not alone."
