Another day, another hunt, Utako thought as he walked the rogue lands. The god had never had much of an appetite, only eating if he wanted the sensation. Hunting for the next meal wasn’t something he enjoyed doing. Why do such a boring task when there were mortals around to do it instead? When Utako hunted, he didn’t hunt for prey, but instead for someone who could catch his interest. His attention went to a small watering hole. It was a rather peaceful sight, different mortals drinking from the water, enjoying the nice sunny day. As he approached the watering hole, multiple pretty animals spotted him and took off. He let out a soft chuckle as he watched them run away. Even in his mortal form he could be intimidating. He sat next to the water and surveyed the mortals who remained, wondering who he would honor with his time.

Saran wasn't one to leave the pride. She had no reason to, to be honest. Everything she wanted was there. There were those that went out to fight, the slaves went out to hunt, and she remained within the borders of the pride keeping an eye on everything. Unfortunately for her, her scheme of finding a strong male to take as her mate was starting to become a bit of a dead end search. There were plenty of strong males in the Nergui but they were either spoken for, too caught up in their quest for gods, or completely incompetent. Saran was looking for a male with at least a little bit of brain, a lot of brawn, and a cocky attitude that would hide her string pulling from the male right under his nose. So far, though, she'd come up dry. She knew that there were plenty of rogue lions beyond the borders of the pride, so she got it into her head that perhaps she could go out and lure one back for the sole purpose of being her pawn. That was what led her to the watering hole that day, and she was pleased when she didn't have to wait very long. A massive brown male came to the water not long after she settled down, scaring off other animals but drawing her close. She moved over to him with a flirtatious smile, batting her eyes just a bit. "Goodness, your presence alone is enough to make others flee," she purred softly, stopping a good distance from the male. She wanted to make her presence known and get his attention, but right now she didn't know if he would attack or not. Saran had been brought up in a rough pride and could fight, of course, but she wasn't an idiot. This male was easily twice her weight and her head barely would come to his chin if she stood beside him. There would be no contest if he decided to pounce.

Utako looked at the female with a hint of amusement. “I usually have that effect on smaller beings.” He said, giving her a cocky grin. She had made the decision of who he would spend his time with exceptionally easy. “I am glad that I didn’t scare you off. It would have been a shame to scare away such a beautiful lioness.” He stood up and turned toward her. “Are you from around here?” he asked curiously, now knowing the area. His never ending travels brought him here. So far nothing truly interesting had happened, but he felt that this lioness could lead to something interesting. “My name is Utako and I am an explorer. It is a pleasure to meet you.” He said coolly.

Smaller beings, eh? This guy definitely had a size complex. Usually it was with smaller lions though, Saran noted as she kept her gaze sultry and coy. As the male continued to speak she gave a little laugh and glanced away for a moment bashfully, her paw drawing little circles in the dirt. "I don't run from strong, handsome lions," she returned as she glanced back at him, peering from under her brown tuft of fur. She bore her teeth in a smile that might have been a bit predatory had the recipient been a prey animal, but it could be passed off as just being nervous. In truth she felt as though this male was playing right into her grasp. Oh, wouldn't her mother be proud of her if she brought this beast home to the Nergui? "Utako," she purred in reply, her tail flicking back and forth as she inched just a bit closer, now just a leap away. "It's wonderful to meet you as well. I'm Saran. An explorer, hm? That must mean you're a rogue. Ah, what a life rogues lead...I'm sure there's lots to see and do. But isn't it a bit lonely?"

His ego inflated with her compliments. ‘Some mortals know just the right words,’ Utako thought as he admired the lioness. He always had a soft spot for mortals who thought he was good looking and knew how to flatter him. It was even better since she had no idea that he was in fact a god. “The rogue lands are always growing and changing, it is never dull, but yes from time to time it gets lonely. Usually it isn’t too bad as long as I can find a friendly lady to keep me company. Some days it’s harder than others, but luckily today I was able to meet one rather quickly.” He said with a playful wink. “Would you be interested in taking a walk with me?” He asked, wanting to get away from the hush noise the other animals at the watering hole made and have a more private conversation with Saran.

Friendly? Oh yes, Saran could play friendly. She averted her eyes and smiled nervously, while inwardly she was rubbing her paws together with glee. Oh yes, she had this one by the tail, didn't she? Mother would be so proud of her! "A walk? Certainly," she said as she turned her gaze back to the large male, eyes half open in a seductive stare. She moved a little closer to him to start the walk, her tail bobbing innocently back and forth behind her with just enough momentum to bump against Utako's from time to time. "So, tell me about your exciting life out here," she encouraged, wanting to get him talking and bragging. She did want a mate that was exceptional as well as dumb. Brute strength and a slow mind went hand in hand sometimes and, given his size, she was sure he had battle stories to tell her. She didn't need a failure by her side.

He grinned at her. “Hmm, where to start, where to start.” He said, thinking about what story to share. Right now, he didn’t want to reveal his true form as a god, especially since she already admired him in his mortal form. There was no need to show off any further. He knew whatever story he picked, he would have to change it up to make sure his identity was kept secret. Most of his more interesting stories came from when he was a much younger god. Now days he got into fights occasionally, but it was purely to end his boredom. “As a traveler, I often go exploring near pridal lands. It’s something I enjoy doing. Ways to learn more about prides and meet the locals in the area.” He started. “However, from time to time I’ll explore a pride that isn’t very welcoming of strangers. One of the prides I went to visit had a couple of guards patrolling the boarder. I went up and greeted them and explained my intentions. They told me to scram or they would make sure to leave my body to the birds.” He let out a chuckle as he retold the story. “There were three guards in total. When I refused to leave, the first guard attacked me. I played with him for a little bit, wanting him to think he had a chance to defeat me. But in the end he was knocked out by one of my strikes. The other two were shocked for a moment, but then attacked me as a team. That fight was a little trickier. I had to avoid both of their strikes, while making sure mine landed. I didn’t get the chance to do any real damage though. The two of them ended up running away with their tails between their legs, leaving their comrade. By this time I grew bored and decided to explore elsewhere.” It wasn’t the most interest story, especially since he left out the part where he turned into his normal form and flew over the pride yelling that he was cursing the pride for their ignorance. The curse was all a joke of course, but they didn’t know that. “What about you Saran? Pride life is something I have never truly experience. I have only stayed within prides for a few days then left to continue my exploring. There must be something interesting about your pride to keep you and others tied to it.” SilverLutz So sorry for the late tag! I didn't realize it was tagged!

Saran closed her green eyes a bit as she listened to the story, imagining the large male before her taking on three lions by himself. Had he been more willing to stay in a pride she might have lured him back to be her mate, but it seemed she'd have to settle for second best. A lion as strong and as cocky as he would be a good sire for cubs. "My my...I can't say I blame them for fleeing in fear," she said with a chuckle as she sidled up to Utako, brushing against his side as she circled him slowly. "As for me...my pride is a fierce one. It doesn't allow those weak of mind or body. We are both feared and revered for our warriors and our drive, and with that type of lifestyle comes fierce loyalty to one another. It's like one very large family. There's bickering, of course, but what family doesn't have that?" As she came to his front again she gave him a flirtatious smile. "And it's quite a shame that you prefer the traveling life. I'm in search of a mate that has all the qualities you posses. You'd make a fine warrior in the Nergui." If only she knew who she was really talking to. The Nergui were god slayers, after all. R4gn0r0k IV Now it's MY turn to apologize for the long wait. August was a crazy month for me. Looks like we can wrap this up pretty quickly in the next few posts though and get them in the breeding thread if htey have all their RPS~

The more she talked, the more he rather liked the lioness. He seemed to be able to impress her easily, but who wouldn't be impressed by him? The more she talked, the more his ego inflated. “You could always run away with me.” He said, giving her a wink. “I mean who wouldn't want to live a life adventure. Your pride seems nice, being able to be surrounded by those who care for you. But isn't that boring?” He wrapped his tail around hers. “Then again, it would probably be too dangerous and reckless to leave your wonderful home with a strange lion you just met. Perhaps the two of us should just get to know each other first and go from there.” The god had no intention of trying to take her with him or staying there. Sometimes it was just fun to stir the pot. SilverLutz This rp included, he'll have 3 total rps, but I'll do my best to get some srps done for him.

"Oooooh, I wouldn't call it boring," Saran said with a little grin. Really, there was nothing boring about the Nergui. The idea of leaving with this lion for a few days, though...that was enticing. "...but I wouldn't mind spending a little time with you," she said, a suggestive tone to her voice. "I wouldn't be missed if I happened to stay out here for a few days. We could get to know one another a bit better, if that interests you at all." R4gn0r0k IV Hokay. You can wrap it up in your next post and if you want any help getting Rps for him I'd be happy to! I have other guys that need RP XD But if you can beast through the SRP then go ahead!

Utako smiled back at her. “You will have to tell me more about your pride then. Tell me why it isn't boring. I am sure we will have plenty of time to talk about your pride's culture.” He said, grinning, his tail holding tight to hers.
