Nkosazana was glad to spend time with her mate. Her duties were keeping her busy. Well not too busy, but trying to suck up to royals was a busy job. She thought maybe she was starting to make an impression on ruler, or maybe his underlings. The lioness hoped they'd put in a good word for her, but she didn't have much hope. Underlings were just underlings after all. There was something not quite right. Nko, however, was doing her best to ignore that feeling in favor of spending time near the royals.
She stretched out by her mate and leaned against him. "How has your night been going?" It'd been awhile since the pair had quiet time to simply sit and talk together. She wanted to check how he was. Things had been incredibly touchy with her family. Depending upon what side you were on and if you supported the royals or not. Unfortunately for Manyara, she'd never been her mother's favorite. Lowest of the low class, she'd taken the rebel's side against the murder king. In her mother's books she'd gone from low to even lower. Manyara and her siblings could have joined the Royal Guard and helped her mother get in close with the royals. Instead she'd gone the other way.
Coming back from a hunt, the young lioness spotted her parents lounging in the open. She sighed and almost turned away. Manyara glanced at them. They were her family. Her parents. She couldn't turn her back on them no matter what. With heavy paws she headed toward the pair. "Good evening mother, father."

Hashsha'Shin hadn't seen his mate in what felt like months for him. With all of the new events going on in the pride and with his own wonderful children. He felt like there wasn't time for anything really. In all honesty he missed it, what he missed most was his family. It was real the only thing that got him through his crazy days around the kingdom. Everyone was choosing sides and yet he wasn't sure if he should. Or which would be the right path. Though right now he had some of the most important people of his life in front of him and that was all that mattered. At least to him.
As soon as he looked over beside him, he saw his beautiful mate. "Well hello there," he said as he gently nudged her lovely with a grin. "Good, i finally have time to see a beauty. How are you my mi'love?" Skye was so happy to have part of family together. Which was odd since honestly he knew they didn't all get along. Perfectly or well as perfect as they could with the Murder King issues going on. He knew part of them went one way and part went the other. See for him he wanted his whole family to be safe, but he wanted his mother's respect. So his alliance was leaning towards the king with his mother. The only issue was he didn't have any pull with his current rank, but nonetheless he was determined to find someway. Or at least to definitely pick a side.
Though right now he had his family or part of the anyways to worry about. Protecting them was always his main goal, but this time he wanted to just check in and see how they were doing. Since it felt like forever since he'd check in with any of them.
As he walked towards his parents he shook his head. Hoping to make all of his thought vanish about the king and focus on where he was headed. Just at that moment he noticed his sister heading the same direction and smiled, "Hey Sis, long time no see." With a bright smile on his face he continued to walk towards his family.
