Similar to battles, explorations are run on a dice system. Each SoA participating in an exploration starts the RP with an introduction where they roll 6, 10-sided dice. These dice count for different sorts of events that take place within the exploration zone. The break-down is as follows:
xxxxxxxxx1: Oh dear, you encountered something in the cave and lost, or fled! xxxxxxxxx2-4: Good fortune! xxxxxxxxx5-6: Bad fortune! xxxxxxxxx7-9: No fortune! xxxxxxxxx10: You encountered some kind of attacker in the cave and won!
Good fortune: rolling 2, 3, or 4 will bring about good fortune for your SoA! They might find a lovely sight, locate a new friend (if you have one for them to find, or it's an event-run exploration) or find some kind of trinket they'll want to take with them! It's up to you what kind of good fortune you want your SoA to find, and it doesn't have to be limited to what you see listed here.
Bad fortune: rolling a 5 or 6 will mean something unpleasant has happened to your character! This could be anything from getting lost to falling down a hole. Once again, what happens is up to you, so feel free to bring about whatever misfortune you fell like tossing at your character.
No fortune: 7, 8, or 9 will be met with staggering boredom, I'm afraid! Your SoA won't find anything worth looking into, nor will they have anything particularly good ,or bad, happen to them! These can be used to move from location to location when RPing out the results of the rolls.
Fights: There are two rolls that means you will encounter SOMETHING inside the exploration zone. It can be anything from an NPC animal to a lion, or perhaps even a particularly scary shadow! Whatever attacks, conditions depend on which roll you landed. a 1 will mean losing the fight, while a 10 means you walked away victorious! If you roll more than one, well, that just means you have a particularly battle-heavy exploration!
Once the rolls have been made in the opening post ,the rest of the RP can be spent playing out what might have happened during the exploration. Once again, for explorations to count towards anything in the future, they need to be completed and filled in!
Groups: You may go on explorations with as many SoA as you would like, but be aware you are all responsible for rolling 6 10-sided dice! However, how you explain what happened after is entirely up to you, though keep in mind that for a RP to count for a breeding each RPer involved needs 5 posts/500 words minimum.
Locations: Unless it is a pride-run exploration, you may set the location for your event anywhere you would like. A cave, a dried up riverbed, a graveyard- it really doesn't matter! SoA are encouraged to travel far and wide in the name of explorations!
Like battles, there may be special prizes for getting lots of explorations in! There will also be event-based explorations at specific locations. These will give out familiars and possibly items as prizes!

There's no set way to record Your explorations and you're welcome to make whatever kind of format you would like. You only need to who went, include what happened and a link to the completed exploration.
Here's a sample form, if anyone needs a little something to go off of: Exploration Log For (SoA):With: (groups members or just solo) Result: (what you found. can be a list!) Proof: (RP link)Exploration Log For (SoA): With: (groups members or just solo) Result: (what you found. can be a list!) Proof: (RP link)
