"I know you're nervous about meeting 'Hasi, so thank you so much for agreeing Kyung!" Chisulo was so happy! He was going to introduce Kyung to Nahasi today! He's been wanting to do this since he first MET Kyung, but his friend had been so nervous and shy that Chisulo was more then happy to wait til he was more comfortable. And he finally agreed! They'd been dating for a little while now and, while they were still trying to work out some things, he'd been having a great time! They'd get together after they're apprenticeships and eat, talk and just enjoy each other's company. Sometimes Kyung needed some space to himself, but Chisulo understood that and was more then happy to oblige.

He had asked Nahasi to meet them in the park cavern, so Kyung would hopefully feel more comfortable, and because it was Chisulo's favorite place in the Brotherhood. Chisulo's conversations with Nahasi lately had almost been dominated by Kyung, and how amazing he was. And now he was finally getting to introduce the two!

Chisulo had not been able to stop smiling since he woke up today. He turned to Kyung who sat next to him, his eyes practically sparkling. "Thank you so much Kyung! Nahasi will love you! I'm sure!"

Kyung felt awfully small sitting next to Chisulo. Being friends with the young lion was already unbelievable, but dating him was just out of this world. To him, Chisulo was the ideal male for the pride. Kind, accepting and comfortable being himself. Chisulo was completely different then himself. He couldn't even start to understand what Chisulo saw in him, but he was thankful none the less to have Chisulo in his life as his boyfriend.

Today he felt exceptionally small, but a tad bit brave. For the first time he would be meeting Chisulo's cousin, Nahasi. He knew that it was strange to be apart of Chisulo's life and not meet Nahasi. Hell, it was strange to live your whole life in Mazu and never meet the king. He had only ever seen Nahasi at a distance and that was something Kyung liked. From a far, the king seemed majestic and fair. He had only heard nice things from those he surrounded himself around. There was no way someway Chisulo cared about so much could be mean.

But the thought that Nahasi might not approve of him, terrified him. Chisulo of course did his best to comfort Kyung, but the fear was still there. He knew that Chisulo deserved someone better then him, someone braver and stronger. Someone who wasn't just orphaned at the pride. There were many more suitable candidates for Chisulo's future mate. He had just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

He wrapped his tail around Chisulo's for support. “Thank you for coming with me.” He said, quietly, looking at Chisulo's eyes and giving him a weak smile. “I-I don't think I could ever talk to Nahasi alone.”

The king of Mazunguko made his way to the meeting spot. There was a guard in front of him and behind him, both keeping close to him. It was an important day for his cousin Chisulo. Since Bedeinka's disappearance, Nahasi did his part to help raise Chisulo. He was sometimes a handful, but was always a delight to talk to.

Though lately he had been going on and on about a crush he had. It wasn't too surprising though. At his age a good handful of felines get their first crushes. At that age even he had his first real crush. He also soon took that crush as his mate.

He let out an audible sigh, realizing just how similar Chisulo was to him. Even the fact about going against tradition and finding love that was not a lion. Though, he guessed technically his father started that tradition.

“That is far enough. I can walk the rest of the way by myself. I wouldn't want you two scaring off Chisulo's friend.” He said. His guards gave him a nod before heading in the opposite direction. The cavern wasn't far off, he just had to go a couple tunnels down.

As he entered the cavern, he looked at Chisulo and gave him a huge grin. “Good morning Chisulo and good morning Kyung,” He greeted, nodding his head to each of them.

"Of course you could Kyung." He nudged him lightly with his shoulder while entwining their tails further. "But I'll be happy to be by you, even after you figure that out for yourself!" and Chisulo truly believed that. Kyung was possibly the kindest person he had even known. He was caring, thoughtful and worked really hard! That's how Chisulo knew Nahasi would like him, because Nahasi was all those things too! And soon Kyung would know that too!

And if Chisulo was being honest (which he always tried to be!), being with Kyung made the achy feeling in his heart go away, just like Nahasi. He hadn't really noticed it at all, until that scary dream he had after his momma moved him and his brothers to a separate den. Chisulo had started feeling it after that, but being around his brothers, momma, sisters, and Nahasi made it go away. But then his sisters had to leave, his momma was never around anymore, and his brothers all started their apprenticeships. Suddenly, that dream felt like it was coming true and the ache hurt really bad. But then Kyung and him had become friends! Whenever he was with his friend he never even thought of the ache! Between Kyung, Nahasi and his momma's occasional return home, Chisulo hadn't felt achy in a long time!

He saw Nahasi enter the park cavern and resisted the urge to bolt over to him and greet him. Right now Kyung needed him, just like how he needed Kyung! He did wave though, as he saw Nahasi spot them! He gave Kyung a reassuring smile as his cousin walked toward them.

"Good Morning Nahasi! Hope the morning meeting went okay! I know Ijara was excited about how the new tunnels were coming along!" The leopard doesn't show it, but Chisulo knew he was happy when he was doing his job! But it was time for the exciting part!

"Kyung, this is my cousin, Nahasi! Nahasi, this is my best friend, Kyung!"

Chisulo's words were comforting. He let his head rest on the lion's neck and closed his eyes. For a moment he felt relaxed. However the moment was brief. His ear opened when he heard the voice of the king. He sat straight up and looked the king in the eyes. Even if he was nervous and worried, he HAD to make a good impression on Nahasi.

He bowed his head to the king. “Good morning your highness.” Kyung said quietly, before standing up. His tail stayed wrapped around Chisulo's. If he was going to make it though this conversation he needed to know Chisulo was with him. “It is an honor to meet you. Not just because you're king though. I mean, you an excellent king of course. It's just that Chisulo has talked a lot about you.”

Kyung could not think of a worse way to introduce himself then how he just did so. His instinct was to run far away, but he knew he couldn't. He had to stay for Chisulo.

Nahasi smiled at Chisulo and then at Kyung. “ It seems our Chisulo enjoys talking about us very much. I honestly feel like I already know you because of everything Chisulo has said. When he's not doing his assignments, the boy is just chatting about how amazing you are.” Nahasi said.

“Now, I have told my advisers and guards that I am going to be taking a short break from my kingly duties. I was thinking we could grab some meat and do down to the lake and maybe let a couple bundles of fireflies lose?
