My favorite Halloween memories.....um, the time my aunt made me a costume....and one of the best houses in the neighborhood to Trick or Treat at was always done up real spooky and gory, with people hiding in leaf piles and bushes and behind fake tombstones to scare you. If you made it through their little haunted yard, you got Full. Sized. Candy bars. TOTAL WIN! mrgreen mrgreen
Then in college I won a costume contest once when I dressed as a slutty zombie geisha.
watching the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Been a Halloween tradition since middle school!
I missed Halloween on zomg, ToTing in Barton Town. emo
Oh, and last year we had one bitchy neighbor yammering on about the Teal Pumpkin Project-(offering non-food treats for kids with food allergies, etc). I think its a good idea, but neighbor was being an a** and trying to guilt trip and force people into participating. I caved- I did participate. By handing out religious literature. dramallama dramallama:: rofl I also handed out peanut butter cups and snickers bars. mrgreen

One time my neighbor had this prank table set up with a hanging candy bag inset into the table and on a second tier it had a mask with a hole underneath. The idea is to sit with your head in the mask, then when someone reaches into the bag you wiggle it with your hands. Well I had my Halloween makeup on and couldn't put my face in the mask, so little 12yo me sat under the table for kicks and giggles, and eventually played with the candy bag. Next thing I know I hear two screams and running footsteps. I accidentally terrified the pants off two teenagers that had just reached for the candy bowl. I was so proud lol.

Azuria Artemis hydrowolf999 Before I share this Halloween memory, have you seen Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost? Yus. Share. Well, I was trying to come up with good ideas for a costume and it was Halloween day, so I decided to do like Scooby and Shaggy when they disguised themselves like bushes. We trimmed the bushes around the house and taped the cut twigs onto me. It wasn't as convincing as I had hoped, and I had to walk around a lot instead of riding in the trailer, but I got a lot of candy and everyone said I had a unique costume. All in all it was a fun night trick-or-treating with friends and getting so much candy. biggrin

New Halloween memory from this year that has been a fantastic experience so far: Working a local berry farm's haunted hayride. I dress up as the Headless Horseman with decapitated neck, glowing pumpkin, and (prop) axe. Then I appear from the shadows as the tractor passes, take the pumpkin off my neck, and swing the axe at them while roaring at them! Sometimes I even get on the tractors and say things like "Such lovely heads!" or "Duck... duck... duck... GOOOOOSE!" and it just scares the daylights out of them, so much fun!

My sister wants to try to go this year. They do the same thing and try to scare you.
