Ms. Caroline

Hayden loved candy, Devoss didn't but she did. So when she heard that she could get it from the teachers she decided to give it a try and go around gathering candy. She went to the Creepateria first, her favorite place, and decorated a cupcake. It wasn't too scary, but at least it earned her one candy!

  • Cafeteria Overlord
  • Caroline's office is less of an office and more-- literally the back of the Creepateria.
  • No costume is required, but a hearty trick or treat is.
  • Minigame:
    • Caroline has cupcake materials laid out for you to decorate. Better make spooky enough, or else she won't be very generous.
    • Roll 4d4 3 times and match your results.
      • 4-8: You manage to make an extremely cute cupcake. Yikes...
      • 8-12: Congratulations! This one is, at least, a tiny bit spoopy. You get 1 candy.
      • 12-15: Success! You made a cupcake not even a mother could love. You get 2 candies.
      • 16: Caroline flinched upon seeing your decoration. You get 4 candies!
    • Once you've gotten your candies from Caroline, you may move on!
NOTE: If you are bug related in any way, you get +1 additional candy.

Professor Darcy

As she neared Professor Darcy's office she looked down at the black mist coming out of it. Still, it was for candy so she would be brave. Walking in she couldn't see much, besides the red table to allowed her to see Professor Darcy. She smiled at him and knocked on the door, hoping he liked her her Devoss inspired costume.

When he tells her she can get some candy she slides in and gets four candies without tripping on anything.

  • Dual Subject Teacher- Literacy and the Application of, Creeping - Office Link
  • The door itself is open, and small tendrils of black mist swirl at the entry. The office itself has been less decorated as simply covered in shadows, as even those who have perfect night vision would struggle to make out more than a few shapes. The only source of illumination is a lone red candle that barely lets one see that the teacher is sitting at his desk filling out paperwork. You can also make out a very large bowl of candy so.. he's got to be participating right? Best to just knock on the door frame to get his attention than risk walking in and tripping over something.
  • Your character must be in costume, or else, Darcy will simply ignore you until you leave.
  • Minigame:
    • Darcy doesn't have time for games, and says if you want candy, to just grab one. However, with the bowl on his desk, and unable to see anything in your path, it's hard to say if it'll be as some might say, a 'cakewalk'.
    • Roll a 1d6:
      • 1: You take your first step and you can feel that you've stepped on something round. You nearly tip but catch yourself. Darcy lets you have two candies.
      • 2: You just dash for it, knocking over a stack of books before running back out. You've managed to net 3 candies, but on you next trip, you doubt Darcy will be so.. welcoming, (next trip -1 candy auto)
      • 3: As you look to the bowl you tell the professor you cannot see too well and don't want to step on anything. He's approving of your honestly, and gets up to hand you a whopping 5 candies. One of them is even FULL SIZED. Honesty really is the best policy!
      • 4: Without a care you stride in, and you hear something crack under your feet. Darcy looks up, glares at you, hands 1 candy and stares at you until you leave.
      • 5: You chose to slide in to avoid stepping on anything. It works, and you reach the bowl without incident. Darcy lets you take 4 candies.
      • 6: As you walk as careful over as you can you trip, grabbing the Desk. Darcy, slightly alarmed, offers you 2 candies and makes sure you don't need to see Nurse Cricket. You don't thankfully.
      • SPECIAL: You are SMALL enough and can fly OR are a ghost and can hover/levitate OR have Night/Dark Vision as a natural ability you may auto gain 3 candies! This cannot be used in combo with rolls.
    • Once you've gotten your candies from Darcy, you may move on!

(Part-Time) Professor Kenner

Hayden wasn't sure if she needed to stay in costume, but she figured that she might as well just stay wearing it just in case. The office wasn't all that nice, but she didn't care. Candy was what she was after. Professor Kenner told her to look around for the candy, that it was hidden. She wished Devoss was there, he would be able to sniff it out, but still she rummaged about.

Finally she got to the mini fridge, where behind two bottles she found two candies! She thought about trying to take one of the bottles but a look from the Professor had her thinking otherwise. Off she was to get more candy.

  • Master of Unlocking - Office Link
  • The room has been dusted for the occasion, but as far as decorations go, it's a bit sparse. There are a couple of plastic pumpkins hanging from a spiderweb across the front of the werehyena's card table desk, but the object visitors are clearly meant to focus on is the larger-than-life animatronic pink-tutu-wearing mummy that stands right inside the door, cackling merrily at all those who enter. Kenner is dressed in a toga and laurel of green leaves, though he has spared students from looking at too much of him by wearing a bright red t-shirt under his costume.
  • Your character might as well be in costume. It is the season for it, after all. Honestly though, if you told Kenner your regular clothes were a costume, he would probably believe you.
  • Minigame:
    • Kenner has hidden candy all around his office. All you have to do to get some is find it!
    • Roll 1d4:
      • 1: Behind the suspicious bottles of pungent liquid in his mini fridge, you find two candies! If you try to steal any of the bottles, Kenner whaps you on the back of the head with a ruler.
      • 2: Inside the light fixture on his ceiling you find one candy! It's rather dusty, but it's yours.
      • 3: If you dare to blow into the giant vuvuzela in the corner, you will be rewarded with three candies! You'll have to chase them across the room. Hopefully no one will steal them before you get there.
      • 4: For the truly adventurous (not), Kenner has candy in his desk. If you ask nicely, he'll give you one piece.

    • Once you've gotten your candies from Kenner, you may move on!

Professor Pyre

This didn't seem very safe... Hayden walked and and tried to just grab some candy quickly, but ended up bitten by the guardian! At Pyre's hinting she rushed to the infirmary just as her stomach started to hurt from the cat's venom.

  • Care of magical Creatures Teacher
  • Pyres room is cold and a bit damp, lit by lanterns and candles here and there along the walls and even on the floor in some places. The walls are entirely made of stone of varying sizes and colors, and there seemed to be nothing decorated. In fact, the room seemed almost the exact same as usual.... difference being? A very, VERY tiny little cauldron of candy sat on Pyres wooden desk.
  • Sitting on the desk close to the cauldron a cat-like creature looms over it, almost greedily. Its beady eyes watch you closely, sneezing once to reveal a small trail of smoke from its mouth. A pair of wings and a long scorpion like tail curls behind it, flicking with agitation. "To get to the candy you have to get past its guardian." The professor mutters, leaning back in her chair wearing her usual steam-punk like clothing as she watched you with narrowed eyes. Leave it to Pyre to come up with a game that could be dangerous too.
  • Pyre doesn't care if you're in a costume.
  • Roll 1d6 and match your response below.
    • 1: You try your luck at just quickly grabbing some candy, but find yourself bitten instead. Pyre makes quick hints you should run to the infirmary, the creature was venomous. (no Candy)
    • 2: You roll a ball of yarn, the cat chases it away. (+3 Candy)
    • 3: You stop and stare, petrified or curious, at the creature... it takes pity on you and tosses some candy at you to go away. (+1 Candy)
    • 4: You reach out and pet it, only to cut your hand on its sharp back spines. Luckily you find a candy on your way out. ( +1 Candy)
    • 5: It didn't seem interested in you, it doesn't like what you're wearing so it turns its nose away. ( No Candy)
    • 6: Finding a feather on the ground you try and tickle its nose - it sneezes fire and the feather burns in your hand. It gives you a candy for amusing it. (+1 candy)
  • Once you've gotten your candies from Pyre, you may move on!
NOTE: The venom from the cat (if rolled a 1) just gives mild stomachaches - Pyre was just being Dramatic.

Professor Pyre

After taking some sort of medicine Hayden started to feel better, so she decided to go back and try again. This time she would treat the cat like she would Devoss and give it some attention before trying to grab the candy. Once in the office she tried to pet the cat, only to be cut by it's back spines! With a defeated sigh Hayden turned and went to leave, luckily finding some candy on the floor as she walked out the door.

Professor Red

She walked into the office and smiled, seeing Professor Red all dressed up himself. It made her feel better about being dressed up herself. At the Professors words though she had to tilt her head in confusion. If she got out of there in one piece? What did that mean?

She walked into the door, careful not to hit the doorway with the horns from her Devoss costume, and at once was in the best place ever! There was candy everywhere! She was overjoyed, until she spotted the candy creature coming at her! It looked just like her!

At once she reached out to hit it, as it seemed that she had gained Devoss's claws! She hit the thing, but it hit her also.

  • Gym Teacher - Office Link
  • Are you sure you entered a teacher's office? A large door stands off to one side of the center of the room, next to a white cloth-covered table with a tea set on it. Professor Red is seated at the table, dressed in a velvet purple coat with an tan top hat, complete with a large off-lavender bow-tie. "Oh, a costume?" She asks, propping her chin in her hand as she smiles in a bemused manner, "You must be trick or treating." The professor gestures towards the door. "Just go straight in there. Make sure you have your costume and, if you make it out in one piece, you may just get what you're looking for."
  • Costume Required? Yes; please be sure to describe it! It's up to you whether you want to use a costume from another Professor's activity or make up your own.
  • Minigame:
    • RP entering the door; there's nothing unusual if you attempt to look around it (and looking behind it will only yield the backside of the door). Opening it and looking in only shows you the back of the office. But once you step through it, you enter a world of pure imagination. And candy. Lots, and lots of candy to the point where everything is made out of candy including that hostile doppleganger of your costume making its way towards you!
    • Your candy dopplegager is a hostile mob that looks like your costume. For instance, if you are dressed as a princess then you now have to defeat a hostile princess made out of candy. If you are participating in a group battle, please create one doppleganger mob per person. That is, if you are in a group of three then each player must create a candy version of their doppleganger self.
      • Mob HP: 10/10
      • Auto-Damage: -5 HP
      • Loot: Upon defeat, your candy-doppleganger will collapse into a pile of candy. Unfortunately, most of that candy also dissipates but what remains is what you get. Please see "victory conditions" below for the amounts.
    • Temporary Effect - Halloween Costume Power Upon entering the door, your character now turns into their costume however they are a shadowy, misty version of it. For instance, if you were dressed as a size-winged fairy dragon wielding a scythe that also shoots bullets you are now a six-winged fairy dragon armed with a scythe that also shoots bullets. Please feel free to get creative with your attacks! Your character will revert back to their normal costumed self upon defeating your candy-doppleganger. In addition, use the following values regardless of your character's stage:
      • Your HP: 40/40
      • Battle Dice: 2d8-6
      • You cannot use: Fear attacks, Artifacts, Learned Abilities because you are now your costume.
    • Victory Conditions: Candy is earned based off on how many attacks it took you to defeat your opponent:
      • 1-3 attacks: +5 candies (and one is even a full-sized candy bar!)
      • 4-9 attacks: +4 candies
      • 10+ attacks: +3 candies

    • Once you've gotten your candies from your candy-doppleganger and returned to Red's office, you may move on! Remember, upon leaving the mob area through Red's mysterious door you will revert back to your regular costumed self.

Professor Rengath

Once in the classroom Hayden wondered who exactly decorated it, but at hearing what she had to do for the candy she smiled. That would be easy! She knew how Devoss acted, they were together pretty much all the time! She acted like her familiar and was rewarded with three candies to add to her growing pile!

  • Theater Teacher - Office Link
  • As you knock and the demon opens the door you're greeted by an odd sight. For one thing, the professor, aside from his skin color and horns, looks like a particular reaper from a very popular human world book series. The small office is quite decorated yet it's obviously not done by him. There are Witches on broomsticks, bats, pumpkins, ghosts, and ALL are smiling. Snakes are all over the place, (also smiling) and the cobwebs are so thick and encompassing it's hard to imagine that one could add anymore. You notice that cobwebs are very much tangled in his horns as well.
  • Not only must you be in costume, but as he is the theater teacher, Rengath wants you to ALSO act the part. REAL COSTUMES REQUIRE COMMITMENT!
  • Minigame:
    • As you're in costume, Rengath expects you to act the part, give him your best impression.
    • Roll 1d4:
      • 1: Your accent was a bit off, but otherwise it was a good show. 2 candies.
      • 2: Superb! Rengath is notably impressed and awards you 3 candies.
      • 3: You fumble a bit but manage a small monologue. He says to practice in front of a mirror before handing you a full sized candy bar and some gum. Two candies aw yeah!
      • 4: You go full out but... It was so over the top Rengath tried very hard not to grimace. You get one candy.
    • Once you've gotten your candies from Rengath, you may move on!

Professors Selene and Argyle

Selene nods politely, and offers you a Baby Ruth**, and asks you if you thought they were made from real babies? How atrocious! (2 pieces)

  • Human Relations Teacher - Office Link
  • Selene's Office is completely covered in spiderwebs, from top to bottom. In the spiderwebs are spiders (of course) but also a lot of plastic snakes. The walls are covered in glittery Halloween decorations, all of which smile happily as you enter. Smiling pumpkins, smiling bats, smiling skeletons, smiling witches - everyone is happy to see you!

Selene is sitting on the edge of her desk carefully, wearing a flapper dress from the human era called the 1920's and trying desperately to pull her skirt down. Should you ask her about it, she will begin a very long and extensive history lesson, so! - maybe don't ask her about it.

A dark blue sparkling skinned vampire is sitting in a chair with his feet resting up on the desk, wearing a 1920's mafia suit, and looking rather dangerous. You can hardly see Argyle's eyes from under the rim of the fedora, but rest assured he sees you, and he is judging. Still, it looks like Selene gave him the good candy - if you're looking for some Strickers* and Meeses Pieces*, you'll have to go to him.
    *May contain nuts and/or beetles.
  • You must be in costume to enter Selene's Office! No exceptions!
  • Minigame:
    • Selene and Argyle want to know how your Human Studies has been progressing! Impress them with your knowledge by sharing a random human fact! (MAKE SURE YOU ACTUALLY WRITE A FACT - it can be wrong though just make sure it's written out!)
    • Roll a 1d6:
      • 1: Selene is impressed! She thinks that your information would make a great essay.. better take your candy and book it. (3 pieces)
      • 2: Selene nods politely, and offers you a Baby Ruth**, and asks you if you thought they were made from real babies? How atrocious! (2 pieces)
      • 3: Selene is absolutely enchanted by how well you've been learning. She practically showers candy at you. Bravo! Bravo! (5 pieces)
      • 4: Argyle seems to be very attentive. When you finish, you realize that he's just been judgmentally staring right through you. (4 pieces)
      • 5: Argyle scoffs before you can even finish, and begins to pedantically correct most of your fact. (3 pieces)
      • 6: Argyle is clutching his face in response to your words. It would be a good idea to leave before you're lectured for being so offensive. (1 piece)
    • Once you've gotten your candies from Selene or Argyle, you may quote Nio Love if you want a random (probably incorrect) fact about the 1920's, or you may move on!
*may contain traces of peanuts, eggs, soy, and Ruth

Professor Million Wagner

You chose the ghost! You get four candies!

  • Modern Scaring Teacher
  • Too new to have set up a proper office, Dr. Mil has commandeered a classroom and filled it with phony rows of corn, each plant nearly reaching the ceiling. If you care to meander your way through the room, you will eventually find the reaper's desk, the reaper herself sitting behind it. She is wearing a simple pantsuit and a shoulder-length auburn wig. On the desk in front of her rests a badge of some unknown human world authority with the name Dana Scully written under Mil's picture. The Kid, her vulture familiar, sits on the table as well. His badge reads Fox Mulder, but he is not otherwise in costume.
  • Million would prefer it if you were in costume, but she appreciates your natural scariness even if you are not.
  • Minigame:
    • There are overturned five cups in front of Mil. All you have to do is choose the one with the ghost under it. If you ask her why the ghost, her only response is "Hollywood loves ghosts."
    • Generate a random number between 1 and 5:
      • 1: You chose the demon! You get one candy for trying.
      • 2: You chose the reaper! You get one candy for trying.
      • 3: You chose the ghost! You get four candies!
      • 4: You chose the monster! You get one candy for trying.
      • 5: You chose the demon! You get one candy for trying.

Professor Walker

You spot a bowl of candy nestled within the giant skull's eye socket. As you reach into it, a weird sound echoes from inside the cranium, startling you. (2 candies)

  • Substitute Teacher - Office Link
  • The small, closet-like space is positively claustrophobic at the moment. Whether by design or simply a happy accident, the room is filled with the bones of giant creatures. Massive rib bones, still fresh with tattered connective tissue adhered here and there, tower overhead. The traditional lantern resting on the cluttered desk illuminates a series of talon-tipped phalanges laid out in precise order. The chair and stool are bracketed by enormous pelvic bones, the cot is sagging under the weight of several massive vertebrae. The skull next to the desk is large enough to swallow a student whole, and a strange dark liquid puddles out from between it's grinning teeth. The pale professor sits amongst the dimly-lit remains as though it were a day like any other.
  • No costume necessary, this professor would not recognize the difference.
  • Minigame:
    • Professor Walker is paying more attention to the bones around him, replying to your candy request with a rather cryptic "Hmm, yes... Help yourself."
    • Roll a 1d4:
      • 1: You can see some shiny candy wrappers being jealously hoarded by a pair of Treasure Treats. Moving slowly and carefully, you claim one out from under their intense gaze. (1 candy)
      • 2: You spot a bowl of candy nestled within the giant skull's eye socket. As you reach into it, a weird sound echoes from inside the cranium, startling you. (2 candies)
      • 3: There is an ironically skull-shaped bowl next to a leaning stack of leg bones. You successfully grab some candy, but feel a warm and sinister breath on the back of your hand as you pull back. (3 candies)
      • 4: There is a convenient bowl on the desk, and you pick out some candy from amidst the small bones contained within. "Safest choice, yes," the professor comments, glancing at something unknown in the darkest corner of the office. (+4 candies)
    • Once you've gotten your candies from Professor Walker, you may move on! Something about his office makes you uncomfortable, best not linger.

It was so loud that it actually knocked one of the fake torches off the wall! Winter is impressed. Have 4 candies.

  • Etiquette Teacher - Office Link
  • The office door is decorated with cobwebs. There are two little jack-o-lanterns on either side of it and a couple fake, mechanically flickering torches temporarily mounted on the walls. After you knock on the door and announce the proper Trick-or-Treat! plea, Professor Winter answers the door, dressed as Hit Girl.
  • Your character must be in costume - Otherwise, she will turn you away!
  • Minigame:
    • Professor Winter seems to want you to work for your candy. Give her your best ROAR!
    • Roll a 1d4:
      • 1: Your roar is awful. She grudgingly gives you 1 candy for trying.
      • 2: You manage to make a sufficient amount of noise. You get 2 candies from her!
      • 3: Your roar echoes off the walls, and startles a few students down the way. 3 candies!
      • 4: It was so loud that it actually knocked one of the fake torches off the wall! Winter is impressed. Have 4 candies.
    • Once you've gotten your candies from Winter, you may move on! Any attempts to linger near her office will be taken as an invitation for surprise homework. Best get moving!

You go in circles, again and again, finding the same signs pointing left and right, until you finally give up and turn back.

  • Substitute Teacher
  • X can be found in the Weeping Woods.
  • He requires you to wear a tie. However, at the edge of the woods, a giant basket full of them is available. Handy!
  • Minigame:
    • X wants you to fetch him something from the woods. A piece of a shadow. He gives you and bottle and says well? Go on then.
    • Roll 2d10 until you make the numbers match. Otherwise, match the results.
      • Odd: You go in circles, again and again, finding the same signs pointing left and right, until you finally give up and turn back.
      • Even: A giant snarl can be felt almost behind you, but upon looking, no one is there. But you heart footsteps, getting closer, getting closer still. Run.
      • Match: At the crossroads, you finally wait for the beast to come, and it emerges from the darkness, hopeful. As it turns out, it just wanted some pets. You scoop part of its shadowy tail into your jar, and bring it back to X, who awards you 3 candies.
    • NOTE: If you are related to shadows in any way, or are dressed in formal wear, you get +1 additional candy.
