nessiaing: Mystral had been thinking about the male that had come into the pride not to long ago. She had escorted him into the pride but hadn't seen him since then. She had fallen back into the habit of staying up atop the mountain where she was safe from the stares and whispers about the curse.
However she decided today she was going to come down and look for Anai. The male shared her cursed colour of icy blue and he had been so kind to her when they had first met. She had found that any free time she had her mind would drift back to thinking of the day they first met.
Sabra: Another frigid day. Still true to his curious nature, Anai had decided to stay around this frozen pride in order to gather all the tales he could. Of course the obvious reaction against his pale colors that reminded other lions of their curse made the initial reaction hard, but the lion's smooth nature often resolved such things. How could they blame an outsider after all for their misfortune?
Though he did enjoy sometimes being mistaken for a spirit from the storms. Just the thought made him think of the beautiful princess he had encountered. Figures, I stick around to find out more about the girl, but then she hides from me. A charming smile flashed across his maw as he continued on. He would give it a few more days in hope that she would appear before heading back out into the world again.
nessiaing: Mystral was timid coming down the mountain side. She clung the the side of the mountain hiding here and there behind rocks along her way. She really wanted to find Anai but she didn't really want to be spotted by anyone else.
Getting to the base of the mountain she shifted behind some boulders peaking here and there to see if she could find the male with the purple mane. To be honest she wasn't even sure he was still here in the pride.
Sabra: It was up in the mountains that the royals stayed? Anai found himself walking around towards the base of the icy giants. Was it really comfortable up there so far away from the world? He shivered at the idea of the icy winds cutting through one's fur. A good excuse to stay close together. He chuckled at the thought. Perhaps being in the desert heat had given him an inner warmth that just wouldn't go away so the icy didn't seem to sting so much. The idea of sharing warmth with another made him feel warmer as well. He had always been affectionate as a cub after all.
As Anai studied the area a hint of movement caught his gaze. Another ice spirit? Frowning the male lion strained to look forward before waving a paw, "Hello? Anyone out here?" He smirked playfully. If he was out here alone that was fine, he just hoped no one would see him as a fool for waving to just thin air.
nessiaing: Mystral spotted the male just before he called out to her. She could tell that he must have seen some movement but he clearly didn't see her behind her boulder. She shuffled out from behind it coming back into clear view.
"Hello friend." she said in a kind voice. She took some comfort in the fact that he was likely looking for her if he was in this area. No one came up this way but the royals and their attendants.
"I am sorry its been so long since we last saw each other." she told him quietly. Her voice was soft and at times hard to hear over the powerful wind bursts.
Sabra: Blinking at the sudden appearance of the princess, Anai had to pause. So his mind wasn't playing tricks on him after all. Rising the lion padded forward with a brilliant smile, "Friend? Well I guess that means our first meeting wasn't so awful then." He teased lightly as he studied her. She seemed to be doing well. That was good then that the royals were taken care of despite their 'curse'. At first he had truly been worried, but now that he could see her the lion felt he could relax.
Damn, I guess that means no heroic saving today.
Anai just smiled at her apology, "No worries. I thought you had forgotten about me, but I guess I was wrong." He called out as a wind burst whipped around them. Frowning at the disruption in their conversation the lion moved closer so that he was only a few breaths away from her, "Forgive me, but this wind makes talking hard. I suppose the closer we are, the better?" Playfully he smiled at her not bothered at all by their closeness.
nessiaing: Mystral smiled the male would adjust to the frigid ways of the pride, but she could see it was still hard on him. "Come this way." she told Anai. She lead him around the base of the mountain to a spot where the rocks jutted out. She scurried beneath them and was imediately shielded from the wind. It was a tight space but there would be enough room for both of them.
"So how have you been getting along here in the pride?" she asked him. He had told her that he had come from a hot place so this pride must make it seem like his world had been turned upside down. "I am sure it has taken some getting use to." she said with a soft chuckle.
Sabra: Anai tilted his head in interest, "Where to, princess?" He wanted to tease her about how they hadn't known each other for long, but the lion behaved. There was no need to scare her away with his playful antics. As they walked around the mountain the lion noted the space. Oooh, I get it. Stretching out Anai twisted his body into place and immediately found comfort. It was nice and cozy, especially when with another here.
"It's not as bad as you would think." Anai teased lightly, "I guess I speak so much hot air that it keeps me warm, but the winds don't cut me too sharply to the bone." He smiled warmly, "But yes it has taken some getting used to. The worst part was waiting though for a certain lioness to reappear. I was worried that she really was a figment of my imagination after all. I never got to thank her for leading me to this pride and out of that blizzard."
nessiaing: Mystral smiled the male seemed to have a magical way of seeing life. "Ah well hopefully I live up to the imagined version of myself." Mystral said wih a sweet laugh.
"I am glad you are finding it alright here, I was worried you might struggle. And of course you are welcome, I can't beleive I found you out there in that blizzard." To her a heavy snowfall was insignificant but to someone who had never been in one it get be disorrientating. "I can't stay long I will be missed, but what do yo say we meet back here tomorrow same time?" she offered.
She wasn't really sure how she felt about the male but she knew that she'd like to see him again... and soon.
Sabra: At her laugh Anai could only smile more, "So far so good it seems." The lion found himself watching her closely as she spoke. A proper princess indeed. He truly wasn't certain of what he had been expecting, but she did fit the description from tales. "I can, such acts are always fated to happen." He teased lightly, but his smile fell quickly enough.
You have to leave already?
Swallowing his disappointment Anai nodded, "If that is what you wish, princess." The lion took a moment to look over her before moving forward in the small space, "But you've gotta seal the promise." He smoothly moved to lick her cheek before pulling back towards the entrance of the shelter, "It's sealed now so you better be around tomorrow~ I really want to explore more of this world of yours."
Grinning the lion bowed once more before heading on his way back down towards the pride.
nessiaing: "Call me Mystral." she told him clicking her tongue at the title of princess. Anai was a friend not a subject. She wanted to be treated like any other lion.
After the kiss landed on her cheek it was as if he was gone before she even blinked. She wish she had had the chance to return the gesture. Instead she found herself sitting in the little alcove holding her paw to her cheek. After the violet mane disapeared from her view Mystral left the alcove and moved up the mountian. She hoped no one had noticed her missing she didn't want to explain to everyone where she had been.
