Wrex had never done trick or treating before. Normally the Daggerback Clan celebrated in a more brutal fashion, with contests of strength, heaping piles of hunted meat, and a storytelling-slash-almost boasting contest-like shares around the gathering. And that was if they weren't needing to move.

Still, this couldn't be too different from it, right? He was on the rove for food still, it just happened to be candy. And candy was boss excellent.

Bag in hand--well, in mouth technically--the boil began his epic journey.

Ms. Caroline

First and foremost, the Creepateria: Wrex's favorite place.

At the far back was the office he was looking for, and thankfully he didn't have to worry about dressing up. Even better, the job was just to decorate his cupcake! He was a total ace at art, he did pumpkin carving earlier!!

At least she seeemd to agree, just a little.

Ms. Caroline

But he had to make it bigger, spookier, messier. The problem was it was just so hard not to eat his creations, they smelled so good...Ughhhh...Someone needed to award him a medal for not immediately consuming everything around them.

At least he tried a little harder this time. Ms. Caroline seemed to approve.

Ms. Caroline

Right up until she didn't.

Wrex didn't know what happened. One moment he was getting a spooktacular work in progress, and the next it was...cute. Maybe he was thinking with his stomach again: too much icing and what not. Either way, the creepateria overlord had had enough of his stumbling attempts and sent him on his way.

Professor Darcy

The next room he stumbled across was, well, literally stumbled across. The place was completely dark, and Wrex found himself bumping into things with his tail most of tall. Grumbling, he pulled it to his chest and squinted at the vague silhouette of the professor.

"Candy?"

Silence.

"Caaaaaaaaaandy??"

Silence.

Wrex growled until it clicked. And then the sigh was growled as well as he doubled back to put on a sheet, clawing open two holes for eyes before returning. It would probably offend quite a few ghosts, but who cared so long as he got his reward, right?

This time he chose to just slide in and take the consequences, impatient and hungry to eat his catch. Luckily it seemed to work, and the professor allowed him to grab a fistful of candies before he left.

(Part Time) Professor Kenner

The issue with wearing a sheet, however, was that it kept slipping. Wrex swore he was going to come out of this more bumped and bruised than if he had actually challenged someone to a fight...Eventually he meandered over to where another classroom was, thankfully before he smashed his snout against something again. Nose. Whatever. (He preferred his natural form so much more, jeez.)

Lifting the sheet enough to see, he eyed the rotting professor with a wrinkly face; even Wrex had some standards as far as what looked tasty. The mummy in the tutu was definitely a sight, though what kind he wasn't sure. Whatever, he wanted his candy!

Sniffing around, eventually Wrex found some hidden behind a few pungent bottles. He was just about to put his teeth around one's neck to take as well (who knew what was within until he drank it, right?), but the professor wouldn't have any of it and smacked the top of his head with the other. Howling, the boil skittered away to lick his wounds--and some candy.

Professor Pyre

In pain and just ready to stop visiting people in general, it was of course when Wrex ran across the rather disinterested phoenix and her...cat...scorpion...thing...It reminded him of some of the prey back home, but tinier and inefficient. And maybe mildly cute. Don't tell anyone.

Unfortunately it seemed to disagree with his costume and didn't allow him any candy.

Wrex tried staring it down. "Now?"

No, not now apparently. Apparently his offensive disguise was going to have to be taken off.

Professor Pyre

Fine, whatever. Doffing the sheet, Wrex plucked up a feather and tried to poke it just to annoy the hell out of it for giving him a hard time. He was accidentally successful instead with tickling it, and after it sneezed it seemed to grin and allowed him a piece of candy.

Professor Red

Well, he was getting bored with his costume either way. Ditching the thing, Wrex collected a few bits and baubles to help make himself look scarier, in case that helped him win more candy; Ms. Caroline's challenge had told him he needed to amp up the Fear factor anyway. Now with a cheap set of dragon wings and a cloak, provided by rather generous donors who were about campus hoping to help everyone look good for the occasion, Wrex tried out the gym next.

And entered a realm full of candy. His stomach rumbled so loudly that he thought it could be its own monster growl. It was so bright, though, that he almost didn't make out the creature attacking him before it was too late.

It...looked sort of like him, actually. Except made of candy. And hovering because of the wings. Snarling back, Wrex attacked and was startled to see he wasn't as corporeal looking as he should have been.

Wait, did the costume make him into a ghost??

Professor Red

Apparently it also gave him the ability to fly. Holy freaking Jack.

He got distracted learning how to maneuver with his wings as the candy clone assaulted him.

At least it wasn't hard when you were sort of weightless. Wrex scraped the creature with his footclaws as he half jumped, half flew about.

And then he really went to town on the thing once he got the hang of it. gleefully Wrex shunted it about, doing fly-bys until finally it collapsed into a pile of candy.

Professor Rengath

The next guy looked like he needed to dust the place a bit, though A+ on those snakes. Maybe a little less smiling, though. He was supposed to be in character, whatever the heck that meant...Well, if Wrex was supposed to be some sort of mighty draconian wyvern thingamabob, then what better way to do it than by bellowing his loudest.

Rengath grimaced and gave him only one candy for his troubles. Wrex left grumbling.

Professor Selene and Professor Argyle

Was he...Was he really supposed to be talking about humans? He didn't know dung about stinkin' humans except for what little he had gleaned from his trip to their world to help save them. (Which, by the way, still seemed super lame to do, and was a little confusing with all the hunters around.)

Whatever. Wrex spouted what little he knew. "Humans very squishy," he said sagely. "Soft. Helpless."

Either Selene agreed or was just antsy about the topic of hurting humans. Either way, he got a few pieces of candy for his troubles; and sadly, none of them tasted like human.
