Core Classes
Astronomy: Dani enjoyed the class ever since First Year, having watched the Science Channel since she was quite young, and she genuinely liked Professor Lupe, even if she wasn't always happy to be to all hours of the night for her class. In a way, she used her exam to create a sort of Valentine for her teacher. Dani kind of geeked out when she constructed her model, as she not made the worlds in scale with each other, but she attempted to demonstrate the scale of the solar system, by placing them at ever greater distances from the Sun, stopping only when her model filled the classroom, and getting only so far as the Kuiper Belt. She hoped Professor Lupe would be pleased by her efforts, and that she would receive a good grade for her efforts.
Charms: After dealing with her DADA NEWT, this one was almost child's play by comparison, as all it was an exercise in problem-solving more than anything else, and there was even a moment of levity figured into the mix.
Defense Against Dark Arts: It was here Dani's method of training herself to be able to cast magic quickly and decisively paid dividends, as the challenges presented themselves in rapid succession, leading up to yet another encounter with her greatest fears, ones she'd wrestled with since before she ever set foot in Hogwarts.
Herbology: Despite a rocky start to her study of magical plants, Dani was determined to put up good marks in this NEWT, even if it meant fighting with a flesh-eating tree. Dani hoped she would get positive marks for novel use of spells (and pulling something from 'Return of the Jedi'), the fact the plant was largely unharmed at the end of the exam, and she escaped relatively unscathed, which was more than could be said for her wardrobe.
History of Magic: Professor Powell was still her favourite teacher, and Dani was sure to prove this in her NEWT exam, by showing how much she'd paid attention in her classes, and the amount of preparations she made for her exam.
Potions: The technique Dani used to study for her OWLs was used again, where she studied her Potions texts to the point where she could practically see them in her sleep, and could recite the instructions as she did her work. While her examiners might balk at the idea of her treating Potions in the same fashion as one might a cooking class, she hoped they would judge her on results.
Transfigurations: After vanishing the kitten in her OWL, Dani approached this NEWT with a bit more confidence in her abilities, even if she was called upon to transform a part of herself. Needless to say, Dani studied hard in preparation for this NEWT, and hoped her efforts would get her a nice grade.
Elective Classes
Cursebreaking: After tangling with the DADA exam, Dani was about ready to face just about anything in her Cursebreaking NEWT. As she faced each challenge, Dani went through her choices methodically until she found the correct diagnosis, and supplied the correct counterspells to solve each problem.
Healing Arts: This NEWT was the one Dani was most determined to nail, as she needed it first and foremost in order to carry on with her chosen career plan. During her exam, Dani proved she wasn't plan on using her magic as the sole means of doing her job, using traditional methods to make her determinations, and using her spells to confirm what she already figured out before going forward. She also hoped to show her examiners how she intended to interact with patients, to put them at ease while she did her work. Professor Dechering had confidence she would do well as a Healer, Dani wanted to prove her right.
Wizard Law: Dani was a bit more confident when she took this NEWT, as she was required to provide the closing argument in a murder trial in the case of Crown v. Belle, summing up her defense of the man, by explaining the holes in the Crown Prosecution's case, and creating sufficient doubt in the minds of the jurors to hopefully get her client acquitted.
All ten NEWTs were written.
