opting out: Ghost and Ghoul Studies ~ P Vander regretted ever taking this class. He found it monumentally boring, it was held at night, just like Astronomy, another class he disliked, and he quickly realized that he found both ghosts and ghouls more annoying than interesting. He didn't study much, and it showed.
Mythology ~ A While Vander didn't really dislike Mythology, he was not so fond of it that he pushed himself to study hard for the exam. Consequently, he didn't score as high as he could have had he studied for the actual test. His Acceptable didn't really phase him.
Wandless Magic ~ A Vander liked Wandless Magic, but the class didn't seem to like him. It was difficult, studying for it was frustrating and hard, and in the end he just did his best to get through the exam. He was annoyed he didn't do better, but supposed he'd take an Acceptable over a Poor.
Wizard Law ~ A Vander should have done much better in this class, and he knew it. But he couldn't help it; it didn't interest him the way his history classes did, and he didn't like 'playing lawyer' much either. He studied more for other classes he was determined to get Outstandings in, and as such only got an Acceptable.
World Studies ~ EE Vander enjoyed World Studies, though not as much as Ancient Studies and History of Magic. He studied, but didn't kill himself over it, and was a bit disappointed with an Exceeds Expectations, but not terribly upset.
Potions ~ EE Vander knew if he wanted to do well on his Potions exam he was going to have to study his arse off and practice constantly, which he did. To his relief the exam was easier than he expected and he slid by with an Exceeds Expectations.
Herbology ~ T Vander barely tried in this class, and he barely tried on the exam. He personally considered it a miracle the instructor didn't throw him out. The plants were not happy, and neither was Vander.
Astronomy ~ P Vander thought this class was ridiculous, was constantly nodding off during it, and didn't really study for it. The Poor he got was a reflection of that, not that he really cared. It was just star gazing, he insisted.
Transfiguration ~ EE This was another class Vander studied like a madman for, and had his focus and sheer obsessive nature to thank for getting an EE in it. He studied hard, and it paid off on his exam. He almost felt like crying from relief when he saw his score. Almost.
Defense Against the Dark Arts ~ EE Vander was decent in DADA, studied hard, not about to embarrass himself, and did about as he expected he would. He would have been happier with an Outstanding, but was willing to accept an Exceeds Expectations if it meant he wasn't a 'complete failure as a wizard'.
