nessiaing: The moon was high as Antara lurked around the shadows of the pride. Normally someone with her beauty would want to be seen, out there for the whole world but not this particular purple lioness all Antara wanted was to be looked over. She had been living in the pride without her twin, with a father who was loathsome and a mother who had given her up over her twin for far too long. All Antara wanted was to be in the rogue lands where she would have been free to be whoever it was she was meant to be.

She had been training hard lately and was happy to get away from the Shaman. It wasn't that she minded her master she was a perfectly find lioness but Antara hated to know that her father was always looking over her shoulder. She moved further into the bushes and settled herself well off the beaten path. A place that she was fairly sure no one would come looking for anyone, especially her.

Velvie: Majaliwa was unaware that it was dark. He was fairly certain that it was, because it was starting to get colder and that usually met the sun had gone down, but his lack of eyesight made telling the time of day quite difficult. It wasn't that big of a deal, because he had no one waiting for him at his den. It didn't hurt to do a little extra 'guarding' of the pride - he wasn't entirely sure that he was all that helpful to the pride, considering a blind guard was as useful as a drop of water in a drought.

Still, Maja enjoyed living in a pride again. Sort of. His past experiences with prides had scarred him for life, but the security of a pride was nice and all that.

He tried to keep on the path, but felt himself drifting into bushes as he walked. He swore under his breath, trying to find his way out of the bushes. He really wished he had a pride memorised by now.

nessiaing: It wasn't long before Antara heard the bushes around her rustling. "s**t" she swore out load she had been sure that she would be far enough not to be found. She rose to her feet looking around to see if she could spot who was coming her way. It would be just like her father to send someone off spying on her. It was as iff he didn't trust Antara.

"Whose there." she called out ultering her voice to sound deeper if she hadn't been seen yet perhaps she could still get away if they didn't realize who they had found.

Velvie: Majaliwa startled at the voice who called out to him, and he froze, trying to figure out where the sound had come from. He didn't want to step on anyone, after all. "Majaliwa," he called back, before realising that no one would know who that is, since he had made...no friends in the pride, and the fact that he was not well known at all. "Uh, I'm a guard. Sorry. I am a bit lost." He wasn't sure if that was the wrong thing to admit.

nessiaing: Antara rolled the name around in her head, Majaliwa wasnt a name she had heard before. Then the word guard filtered through her ears. She couldn't believe it her father had sent someone out here to spy on her. But then he admitted he was lost.

In her confussion she came out of the bushes to see who this guard was. "are you new here?" she asked upon seeing the pale coloured male.

Velvie: Majaliwa flushed, glancing down at his paws. "Uhh, is it that obvious?" He asked sheepishly with a deep chuckle. "I only joined last week. I am...actually not entirely sure where I am right now, but I have been enjoying the pride so far!" He shrugged his shoulders. His eyes flickered towards where her voice was coming from, and his pale, unseeing eyes staring in her general direction. "I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name?"

Was he making his first friend in the pride? Well that was exciting.

nessiaing: It wasn't till his eyes fell on her that Antara realized that the male who had stummbled upon her hiding place was blind. A smile played across her lips, what was better was he was new as well. She felt a rush of relief wash over her, this likely meant that he had no idea who she was and was not infact sent by her father.

When he asked her name she only had a moment to think of her answer before she blurthed out "Nketa" which of course was not her name but infact her sister not that anyone other than her brothers and mother knew that here in the pride. If she had been smart she would never have uttered the name within the pride's boarders but she was so desperate to be anyone but herself that the words had left her mouth before she knew any better.

"Its okay beind new." she told him kindly suddenly relaxing into a seated position. "Where did you come from before here?" she asked

Velvie: Majaliwa smiled, unaware of her inner turmoil. "It is a pleasure to meet you Nketa," he said warmly, nodding in her general direction. At least he hoped it was her general direction and not a bush, because that would be awkward and really embaressing. He continued to stand, his tail flicking behind him and rustling the bushes that he still stood in.

"I was born in a pride, but I was forceably removed from that, and have lived in the rogue lands since then," he explained, cutting out most of the story because he didn't want to bore her with all the details. He didn't really think people would care about his sob story.

nessiaing: "Well I am glad that you found your way here." Antara said with a smile. She was falling into her new persona well. "I am impressed that you have such strength to be in the rogue lands, blind.... I can't imagine." she said quietly. All her life all she had imagined was being in the rogue lands but she couldn't imagine doiing it while blind.

Suddenly she heard noise coming down the trail she was near and she felt a need to depart. "Listen I hate to run but I'm actually meant to be somewhere else." she told him her tone becoming hushed and a little rushed. "Tell you what though I will meet you back here tomorrow night. Do you think you can make it back here. If you walk 10 feet forward you will be back on the trail that leads to the heart of the pride. I will wait for you here... and don't tell anyone." she added the last part she was a little worried that it would sound bad but she needed to keep her identity secret.

Velvie: Maja looked a little bit sheepish. "That obvious that I'm blind, huh?" He said with a laugh, 'staring' down at his paws. He had felt vulnerable being blind, at first, now he just felt embaressed. People wrote him off quickly, when they found out he was blind. Apparently, blind was useless to most people, but he still had things to offer! Or so he hoped.

He blinked, surprised at her sudden departure. He hesitated and then nodded. "Ok, I can do that. I will see you tomorrow night, Nketa," he said, nodding to her and more than a little confused. He had made a friend!...but a secret friend? That was odd. But then again, this whole pride was odd to Maja. At least he had a friend now.

nessiaing: Antara gave the male a quick nod before she turned and headed deep into the bushes again. She just hoped he would keep her secret. She'd have to keep her ears open for any mention of the name Nketa, she really should have chosen another name.
