Lights of old machines slowly began to power to life. The time for awakening had come. A hundred years had passed since this tube had been shut and now the machines where slowly coming online to thaw out the man inside.A terminal built into the pod spang to life. the startup sound came with a small wir as the computer began to process the code and program set for it at this time.it didn't take long for a small scroll of green text slid across the screen
.
>Unseal the Hushed Casket.
]The computer executed the command, the security lockout dropped away, and a countdown timer began marking time until the wake-up sequence would be completed. The soldier was coming around. Respiration was up, ditto his heart rate, as both returned to normal levels. Antonius was floating in the never-never land somewhere between cryo and full consciousness when the dream began. It was a familiar dream, a pleasant dream, and one which had nothing to do with war. He was at a restaurant with several of his old comrades. They had the time off from their mercenary work and had a chance to catch their breath. He remembers the conversation. It had been a revolving chat about french pastries. The dream started to fade and a light appeared in front of the Captains eyes. Vapor vented, swirled and began to dissipate. A robotic voice came from the pod." You have been asleep for 36500 days". He flexed his stiff limbs and pushed himself up and out of the cryotubes chilly embrace.

The captain stepped onto the cold metal flooring. The floor sent a chill through his feet as he approched one of the other cryotubes. The small terminal next to the casket read what the captain feared. Deceased A low sigh escaped the commander as he turned from dead teammates. he followed the room to the end. A small dna hand terminal stood placed next to the door. Resting his hand upon its surface a blue light scanned his hand before a solid green light appeared. The sound of hissing gas escaped the door as it rolled up revealing a room full of lockers. stepping through a light turned on at the end of the room with small direction signs. Walking among the lockers the commander didn't pay any heed to the military equipment of his comrades. Their stuff would remained undisturbed like their bodies. He reached his locker which bore his rank, insignia and name. Opening the locker there sat a skull painted gas mask. His "face" had been waiting for him all this time. The Captain picked up the mask, the familiar weight and texture reminded him of life before the deep freeze. He pulled the straps back and pulled the mask over his face.Slowly he pulled on his cloths and equipped his pack and equipment. He slid his chain sword into his custom holster at his side. Closing his locker the commissar turned to the elevator at the end of the hall. A few strides brought him to the old machine which hummed with power from the old generator. Stepping inside the machine with the push of a button closed its doors and began to rise from the depths of the earth and to the surface. [exit]
