Honestly, Oliver was exhausted. He watched the minute hand ticking on his phone, ignored the slow gentle breathing of the warm body next to him, waited anxiously for reply. He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding in whenever Jamie finally responded.

It was honestly the best answer Jamie could manage immediately. In the room next door, Shiloh was presumably sleeping. Soundly or not was debatable, but he was there, the real Shiloh, back from hell. When Oliver mentioned he'd been acting strange, Jamie knew it was probably Beel.

Still, how did you explain that to someone? How could he tell Oliver his own twin probably didn't remember him?

Oliver squinted at his screen in the dark. He had half a mind to wake up the person next to him and ask if he was dreaming.

The response Oliver got wouldn't come in the form of text on a screen, though the answer would've been a resounding yes. Magic was something that had become like second nature to Jamie, a partner he slept next to every night and woke up with to face the day. Sometimes that was a good thing, sometimes not.

So no, his reply to Oliver was not with words. Instead he sent a picture, a dimly lit selfie by the light of the moon through the window. In it he had a rounder, reddish nose and long, furred ears.
