Honestly, Shiloh expected a lot of things. He was extremely exposed to magic—hell, was magic—and weird s**t happened a lot. Suffice to say, he shouldn't be bothered by normal happenings much at all; except, well, he was.
He didn't know the man standing with the ferret, but his walk home was effectively cut short as he stopped to watch the display. He was absolutely enraptured by the long noodle as it thrashed and snaked through the snow with more energy than it's elongated body could probably handle. This ferret was gearing up to ******** explode.
Something told him he probably should approach weird looking guys with weird strung out pets on bright colors leashes, but this was Shiloh, so he threw caution to the wind and marched forward anyway. There just wasn't any way he couldn't acknowledge the crazy ******** ferret.
"Dude." He said when he got within earshot, looking down at Bud without any further words. His look said everything.

It was a little bizarre, but Shiloh seemed content with the weird vague solidarity they now shared. The ferret was sweet. The guy was wearing weird cute s**t. Seriously, he liked the hat; it'd be better if it was a turtle, though.
Except then this guy was totally soliciting drugs. Now, Shiloh wasn't the smartest kid around, but he had his street wits, and he probably could have assumed this guy was a massive stoner by his general demeanor. Of course this didn't bother him, but he'd also never actually dabbled in drugs (by some weird miracle) and he wasn't really sure what to say. Didn't dealers usually have some sort of code? Was it safe to literally say s**t like that?
"Whoa, what?" He gawked a little, eyes widening. "Dude can you just--" he looked around all paranoid, "--can you just do that."
Sweet summer child.

Wil blinked clear blue eyes, shaking a bit of his sleepy seeming demeanor for the moment, "Huh?"
His head turned side to side as if he were missing something but it was just them standing there, besides random pedestrians that either paid no mind or paused to smile at the excited ferret.
"My bad, man," Wil smiled calmly. He lifted a smoke to his lips and took a drag. It wasn't a cigarette, but it wasn't the smell of weed either. Something herbal and aromatic that hung around him and was still legal as far as anyone cared to check.
"You here for the little dude then?" Bud came out of the snow again and came to Wil's leg, stretching out so the blonde could lean and scratch him with permanently art-stained fingers. The ferret tiptoed off the toe of his paint splattered boot until he was thoroughly face rubbed and then went back to the snow again.
"Or I can read your fortune for a dollar," Wil offered, pulling his backpack around (which was a turtle shell today, by chance) and fishing in it for some cards.

Well, at least Wil was calm despite trying to sell illegal substances. Not that Shiloh would report him or anything—he didn't really give a ******** what people did—but it would also be lying to say he wasn't kind of curious about that sort of stuff. Weed was safe right? It was all weird bullshit government perpetration that made it out to be bad, D.A.R.E. programs and gateway drug fear mongering and all that.
"I mean, he's kinda hard to ignore." He looked down at Bud as a smile returned to his face. Hard to ignore? Shiloh was enchanted. Mammals weren't his thing (not like reptiles), but only as far as owning them was concerned. Enjoying them otherwise? Hell yeah, he was all over that s**t, and this was no exception. "Seriously, look." Not that Wil wasn't already aware of his own ferret.
"Okay but, how legitimate of a fortune are we—holy ********," He looked at his backpack, eyes even wider, "That's such a sick backpack." Which, really, it wasn't that sick realistically, but it was to Shiloh. Even if he didn't want the stupid fortune, he was going to pay for it now solely on this man's backpack aesthetics. Pulling out his wallet, he fished a dollar out from among the change and tens.
"Alright, lay it on me." He stuffed his hands back in his jacket pockets afterwards to keep them out of the cold, watching curiously.

"Thanks!" Wil smiled wider at the compliment to his bag, "I like have a collection. Hats and bags it's like a thing."
The blonde crouched then, on his small patch of un-snowy pavement, to sit the bag in front of him and fish around in it.
"Since magics real and all-" There was pause as if he were going to say 'now', an implication it hadn't been before, but he stopped, "So anything can be real if you believe in it. You a believer?" He blinked up at Shiloh with clear blue eyes. Meanwhile Bud found his way into the bag with a lot of wriggling and noise.
The dollar was plucked and stuffed into the bag, "You got your choice.. 8-Ball, tarot, runes," He scratched a stubbled chin, "Palm reading?"
Bud emerged with a playing card in his mouth that he was trying to steal.

"Focus while you shuffle... like.." Wil had an even and zen way of speaking, trying to sell the mystical vibe while possibly believing it himself. Though it wasn't clear if he was really into it or just doing it for the money considering he asked for a dollar and carried around cardboard scraps specifically for this purpose, "Like focus your energy into it. Think about your life right now and stuff.."
Wil glanced at the ferret who was peering over his shoulder from the comfort of the hood.
"He's Bud," He made smoochy lips at the ferret, "Normally he's got a hoody with it on but it's hard to do the hoody and the harness at the same time and he's like super amazing at wriggling out of stuff.."
When the cards were handed back he held them between his palms and concentrated as well, "I'll do a small reading cause the extensive ones take up a ton of space and could take a while..."
His shuffling of the cards was much quicker, very deft, and it was clear if he wanted to he could do some fancy things. For such a slow and lazy person he had very fast hands.
"You know I know a cat that grows plants.." He said softer, nodding to the sleeve, "He's pretty chill."

Honestly, Wil being so into it was getting Shiloh into it. Made him think that maybe Wil was magic, rather than some chill believer in it. Could he actually see his future? That might be... concerning. Good to know, but concerning.
"Bud, huh? Fits the theme I guess." He laughed. Weed, 420, bud. "S'good name for a good little guy. Anyway, a small reading is fine." He kicked his legs from the bench, listening about the cat.
"That's kinda weird though?" He was intrigued regardless, "Could he like, grow anything? Or just one specific flower." Shiloh's eyes sparkled at the thought, "Cause I can grow anything. It's pretty neat."
