It was time to seek out Silk. There was a notebook under his arm, their notes on everything, for her to have. Letting their feet carry them through the Court, Jeremiah and Algie would go until they found what was probably familiar to him but not necessarily familiar to the other.

After all, he had come here before.

Whatever nervousness he had, whatever worry, was pushed away. There was a methodology to be shared for the show of consent. It would be enough, they had tested it to know so.

Algie's fingers curled lightly around his husband's elbow as he let himself be led to the proper location in the court. He hadn't been before, not here anyway, and wasn't acquainted with Silk outside of the formal group events they'd both been present at.

He was at least confident they'd worked something out that fulfilled their needs without being too difficult for everyone.

Noel and Noah looked at the two men impassively from where they bracketed the doors to the Spinel Lady's suite of rooms.

"We are here to speak with Silk," Jeremiah spoke firmly. "To deliver to her the method of consent for creation of the new Charter."

"We researched and tested our methods.." Alg motioned to the notebook they carried, "Logged it all down."

The Professor adjusted his glasses and glanced at the gatekeepers, "We also consulted with an experienced party on the matter."

Noel and Noah allowed the two of them to pass. They didn't have to go far. They only had to go a couple steps into her domain to find Silk, arms crossed over her chest. "And what is it you've got?"

"Thank you," said Jeremiah to Silk, "for allowing us to speak with you on short notice." The notebook was under his arm still. "We devised a method of consent using DNA and magical infusion." He opened up the notebook, flipping through to a page.

A piece of cloth was pulled out, though it had not always been cloth, where his name looked to be stitched in and glimmered strangely in the fabric.

"All of our research said that some form of DNA was the quickest and easiest way to prove consent.." Alg glanced at what Jeremiah had shown, "Which left blood, spit, hair.." The professor nodded.

"We know blood works but it rang too close to what had passed before," he adjusted his glasses, "so we tried and worked the others."

"I'll have to speak with Ezra and Thorne about teaching their tithes to request meetings before storming into another noble's domain," said Silk coolly. She eyed the cloth between them, but didn't reach out for it. "And what did you decide to use?"

"You have my sincerest apologies," Jeremiah actually bowed and his tone was genuine, "for doing so. Lord Ezra has, indeed, taught me better and I should have known to send Fell ahead to see if you were free." Though they had not stormed in and they could have just as easily been turned away by Noah and Noel.

An audience did not have to be granted if she had not wanted them within.

He straightened up, a bandaged hand still holding the cloth. The stitching glittered, had a strangely icy sheen to it. "Hair, focused and infused with magic." With the intent in mind to bestow consent, to let things be changed. "That becomes a magical signature."

Cloth passed to Algie, the notebook with everything was offered out for her inspection.

Alg took the cloth and smoothed his fingers over it, the shimmer remaining under his thumb.

"We tested it, experimented on both inanimate world changes as well as living ones," Alg glanced at Jeremiah, remembering the freckling, as well as their passage of powers between one another which they'd then revoked.

"Hair can both be magically fused into an object or collected into a vessel which can equally be charged with magic. We tried both, and should be easy for even those not adept with their abilities."

"How inelegant," said Silk. She took the notebook and flipped through it. "And why have you ignored centuries of magical thought and experimentation?"

"Blood always works. It is a shortcut, it is the easiest way to achieve all the information needed," replied Jeremiah. "If we are forging a new Charter, then it is best to not follow the same paths, the same shortcuts. Creating an alternative, however inelegant it may seem, is a necessity when we all strive to break away from the paths that were followed in the creation of the old Charter."

Alg couldn't think of anything more inelegant than carving something into an unwitting person's flesh and sealing it with a blood pact, but perhaps that was just him. The professor instead let Jeremiah handle the response with a passive expression.

It was about what worked, it was about change, and clearly no one wanted to take the same path over again.

Silk didn't roll her eyes but she looked like she dearly wanted to. "Of course. Thank you for this; I hope it works when the time comes."

She raised her voice. "Noel, Noah, please see them out."
