The lobby floor of the new Dusk was overwhelmingly busy today. Upon closer inspection, the issue seems to be a massive congestion on the elevators, mainly in the form of human prisoners.

There were so many prisoners, they were boring and uninteresting, as Humans most likely were, and it was less the threat of the Humans and more two horsemen at the front of the elevator arguing where they should be brought. Half the argument favourite War prisons, the other half favoured Famine experiments, and neither of them wanted to consent to the other.

At some point, they had decided to duel it out, and both horsemen were now fanned by a growing mass of visitors, the two combatants circling each other, weapons drawn, ready to duel to the death, or at least until dissipation, for the privilege of bringing honour and glory to their clans, or something to that aspect.

Their dueling circle now took nearly the entire lobby, and the War horseman clearly had an advantage. He moved with an unrelenting hurricane of blades until the Famine horseman tethered his opponent with thousands of beetles and there were jests and cheers simultaneously- and then they were at each others throats again and finally-

- With a triumphant shout the War horseman ripped off the head of his opponent, the other just dissipating to reappear about a few moments later in the same place. Regardless said War horseman continued to crow loudly about honour and glory and being the alpha and-

- "Enough," said Medea, rubbing her temples at the War horseman (his name was Hunter-Killer because it was a majestic name full of glory and honour that
struck fear in those he killed, which were Hunters), "Split the prisoners, half to each floor."

Hunter (Hunter-Killer) had opened his mouth to mention half was not all of them like he deserved but Medea gave him a withering look. It was kind of impossible for him to look intimidating in front of her, mostly because he was shorter. When she thought she had sorted out that problem, the Head Priestess moved around the ring of attendants and into one of the open elevators, excusing herself.

Silence.

"No," said Hunter (Hunter-Killer) after Medea had left, "You can have these." He had one of those obnoxiously loud, booming voices that made it impossible not to listen to every word he said.

"But she just sai-" His opponent had started.

Hunter (Hunter-Killer) held out two index fingers facing upwards. He didn't know what it meant but he saw a Human doing it once so it must mean something nonthreatening. "You can take those because we are going to get more prisoners."

Belatedly he remembered it had been middle fingers, not index, so he adjusted accordingly.

OOC

WELCOME TO THE HORSEMAN MEETING

YOU ARE ON THE LOBBY OF THE NEW DUSK.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

- Hunter (Hunter-Killer), a self-styled "leader" of the War horseman, refuses to let you use the elevators, and he is very adamant. It is a pity that you can't just fly up to your floor since the glass is so very Fear resistant. The prospect of having your own human prisoner doesn't sound too bad though. That's what he means by bringing some more back right - that everyone gets one. Why only important horsemen usually got that honour. You hope yours is way more dangerous than everyone else's

- NEWBIES AND VETS ARE WELCOME. Consider this the HORSEMEN ORIENTATION. If you are a FINAL STAGE horseman, feel free to advertise in the OOC and help interact/mingle with newer horsemen rpers!

- OOC: FEEL FREE TO MINGLE AND INTERACT IN THE LOBBY AS WELL AS ASK IC QUESTIONS (QUOTE ZOOBEY FOR GM INTERACTION)

- You will get x2 rp points for mentorship at the end of this rp, as well as have your char keep their very own Human prisoner!

In the crowd there was a youngling who barely moved even as the fight hit its climaxed. She was small, quiet, and easy to miss save for the dissonance of movement around her. With her mask on, it was hard to tell what she thought of the proceedings. Well, at least until Hunter (Hunter-Killer) said they would each get their own.

And then Oracle began to clap and giggle most enthusiastically.

Nat stood with arms crossed over their torso and narrowed eyes as they watched the fight unfold before them. Their jaw was set tightly, fingers twitching against biceps until the fight was ended and a decision was called. Lowly, a hum left their lips, mouth quirking up in amusement at the way Hunter-Killer made his insistence.

Ah, well, collecting more prisoners at least seemed productive.

Kithryn was staying as far from that debacle as she possibly could. War and Famine were always two mongrels gnawing at the same bone with no dignity and no respect for a single blessed thing. She was a bit surprised that Hunter-Killer won so swiftly but it was entirely possible his opponent had been a laboratory hive worker.

Meaning they weren't good for anything.

Heading for the elevators when Medea settled the matter once and for all she swore viciously as the War leader refused to move. Keeping her wings tucked against her back she refused to go back to her corner and waited. Glaring.

Kashel was somewhere nearby, squinting with some suspicion at the two at the front of the area. She did not particularly like getting into disagreements about anything, especially if it served no purpose - but the idea of the humans intrigued her.

She slid quietly through the throngs of people, furs gathered around her, and tucked her wings against her sides, frowning.

Somewhere near the back of the area, a very tall Horseman stood, dressed, absurdly, in a pair of dark wash jeans, a long sleeved button-down shirt, and a blue sweater vest over top of it. His dark hair was pulled back away from his face, a surge of gray beginning to overtake the left side of his face.

He seemed, for the most part, calm, but also entirely unaware of where he was or what was happening.

Crowds were suffocating nonsense as far as Quilong was concerned, but the sudden appearance of a fight breaking out left him standing there with an eager grin toying on the edges of his mouth. He found himself pushing his way towards the very edge of the collection of gawkers, head tilting ever so forward to gain a better view.

Unfortunately, the duel didn't last nearly as long as he would have liked - pity. So much for a fun show!

Arms crossed over his chest and he let out a soft hmph, quietly letting his disappointment show.

She had stayed at the edge of the fighting, watching the War and Famine Horsemen fight with a look that was both curious and critical as she was inwardly comparing their fighting styles. Over all Kyung-Mi didn't care who one, after all both options would bring honor to the four clans in the end and both of the fighters had important jobs, but wasn't surprised when the War Horseman won in the end. Medea's compromise though got a smirk out of her when she heard it, it did sound like the perfect solution to the problem anyway.

However Hunter-Killer just had to go and not only disobey Medea's order but decide that he would force everyone to go and get new humans.

The Conquest Noble crossed her arms as she stood there with narrowed eyes, glaring for a moment at Hunter-Killer. She could have been doing anything else for her Clan right now but no, she was now stuck in following the older Horseman to gather prisoners. The glare didn't last long though and she moved on to look around at those that had been 'volunteered' for this assignment as well.

From beside Quilong, someone gently touched his arm.

"Excuse me," said Mengyao politely. "Do you happen to know what's going on?"

There were a lot of people around; Kashel found herself jostled by those nearest to her, her feet catching on the edge of someone's shoe and causing her to stumble. She righted herself rather quickly, but not before she latched onto the arm of the Horseman next to her to keep her balance.

She let go after a second, straightening her furs and glancing up.

"My apologies," said Kashel, a little stiffly. "Someone knocked into me."

Home. This wasn't home. It was far too colorful here. Far too bright and gleaming. Where were the sandy caverns?? Where were the billowing treetops?? The calm ponds and gardens?? the craggy rock and forge?? Disoriented, Kiwi's wings scraped the cool, straight walls, the strangely human-looking walls as he passed into the lobby of the Dusk.

This isn't homeeeee, the voices whispered in a low chitter, echoing the knots tightening in his abdomen. The bright glare of the room blinded him momentarily. This isn't-

His eyes caught on a a circle of horsemen gathered by the far end of the room. He had seen such things before. A crowd like that always meant a good fight. Clinging to that singular familiarity, he pressed his way between nobles, soldiers, sages, coming to rest on the fringe of the fight.

Though both sides were well matched, regrettably, the Famine colonist simply didn't possess the reflexes the War clansman mustered. Kiwi was certain of one thing though; he didn't particularly like this Hunter-Killer that much. He silently made a note to steer clear of him, until the moment the mention of retrieving more hunters left the horseman's mouth.

He hadn't left the sanctuary in some time. And with the changes within the tower, he could use with a good battle to clear his mind. A human prisoner was just the icing on the boocake, as the students put it.

He glanced around at the crowd of ponies still gathered by the elevator, and still farther out the throng that jostled and bustled their way towards the staircase and out of the hall not unlike a parade of ants. Some were barely even recognizable as horsemen, dressed in human clothes, carrying weapons that could only belong to a hunter. So many new faces. It was all so strange. Not like the home he remembered at all. But Medea had promised them power. He supposed she had made good on her word. So he would uphold his too, uphold the clan.

He tucked his wings in quietly, and did his best to seem patient as he waited to see what move Hunter-Killer would make next.

What if getting their very own human took too long, though? Oracle didn't feel like waiting. And because clearly they weren't going to give her what she wanted, she had to vent her energy on something else.

Careful and quick, the small mare tugged at the wings of two different horsemen, trying to instigate a fight by setting it up so that one thought the other was being just a little too touchy, and then quickly scarpered away to hide behind a fellow priestess, absolutely innocent of it all. She looked fierce; maybe this priestess was going to fight too!

Lan, who had for the most part of the past year been spending her time actually studying battle and war craft rather than lording over whatever unfortunate novice horseman she came across was perplexed by the new tower. The Old tower was just fine, why get a new tower that was all... Modern. Traditional was far superior, but, she was not in charge of things, Medea was and Lan rather liked not being exiled.

Having the misfortune to watch the scuffle over the humans was amusing at best, but also utterly humiliating. Humans were present, couldn't they at LEAST have had the insight to squabble like foals away from their prisoners? Last thing they needed was some upstart mortal thinking they were more divided than they were and trying foolishly to lead some sort of rebellion. Granted the humans would lose badly and many would die, but it was just all around a waste of time and resources. There was FEAR to be harvested after all.

Rolling her eyes, she looked to those gathered and felt a sharp stab of horror as she spotted one grey faced noble.

What the-

Eyes zipping over, she didn't fail to notice her absolute without a doubt favorite famine horseman. (Along with two others who tied for the place).
"Kiwi!" she called out, striding over in all her egotistical glory.
"Tell me, have you ever seen such a sight?" She asked, arms crossed and eyes darting to the horseman that had once been their golden king.

"He looks so... mundane. And this place is-" She tried to find less offensive words.
"It is nothing like what we are known for is it?"

AKA 'This is all new and human-like and is an insult to my noble sensibilities.'

"Ooh, our own human!" Xala said, clasping her hands in a way that pushed her already-prominent bosom up to more prominence. She'd watched the poor Famine horseman get trounced, but why they'd agreed to settle an argument with a War horsemen via a fair, battly method she couldn't be sure. She hoped for a little blood, but of course everyone was fine after their scuffle.

Xala herself smelled faintly of an alluring combination of blood and cinnamon.

"I want a cute one, with the maximum amount of," she blushed, but pushed forward, "guts in it." she said, just to get a kind of preemptive claim on the more organ-filled humans.

Borr and Dain lingered on the outskirts of the gathering. Height leant them an advantage to view the fight and while most of the Death horseman remained somber as always, the Brewmaster always sported a small smile under his white beard. A hand clasped on the thin shoulder of his nephew.

Dain didn't have the outward joviality of his uncle, instead he was deadpan with choppy bangs in his face as he watched the battle, subsequent defeat of the famine horseman and the proclamations of who got the humans to mess around with..

He wouldn't mind getting his hands on one.

Both of the death soldier's were tall and hard to miss, Borr massive and Dain more of a beanpole but their white heads stood out above the crowd.

Wings were folded tightly against their back, but that didn't appear to deter someone from reaching out and pulling on a set of feathers anyway. Their body tensed, red eyes narrowing as their head turned, trying to determine who was the culprit and fingers twitched at their sides.

The 'culprit' appeared to be famine and Nat's jaw ticked as they turned, barely catching sight of the small mare that passed in their line of vision.

What if...no.

"Can I help you?" Nat asked, voice gruff as they assessed the famine elder and thought to weigh odds in their head.
