Quiet, the afternoon had been incredibly quiet and chilled for what seemed to be the most part. Vasan'ta was becoming used to the newfound freedom without her sister so nearby, despite how close they were. She adored her so, but she was her own free horse who had her own life. Today she ended up taking a new path, venturing off an being brave on her own. She had met few creatures on her walk, most of them wary at first of her size alone, but were quick to not judge her because of her manner of speaking. She had hoped that they had all at least dealt with her well, as it was the only vice that she knew of. She didn't want to be known as 'scary' to others, unless they're being threatening or being aggressive towards those she knows of course!!
Regardless, her pathway she was moseying on by found herself near a quiet spring. The surroundings were quiet and open, and she could even hear the wind rustling the remaining grass and even her hair. Parched, she decided to take this time to catch a drink, leaning her head down to get said drink... Though she was wondering how long it would possibly be before she stumbled upon another potential friend, she... hoped it was soon.

A breath. The stallion let it out slowly and listened, his ears pricked to any movements and noise near him. "You're being paranoid, dearest." The musical voice cooed at him not far to his left. He tilted his head toward the voice and a smile pulled at his face. "Oh no, my sweet Alexandrite. I am being cautious. This land is not near as safe as where in whence we came." He said, lazily blinking. It was more reflex than necessary, for he was blind. Darkness had slowly swallowed his sight from birth until he could no longer see the light. It had taken a long time to acclimate himself. But it was in the moments where he felt weakest that he was thankful for his gentle familiar. She had been his eyes since not long after he had been born. As he thought of her, the condor stepped forward to lightly brush a wing against his leg, jolting him to reality. "Come. Let us find sustenance. I am parched and I know you are as well." She said, crooning. She was definitely not wrong. The stallion nodded and flexed his large wings a moment before closing them tightly to his body.
Listening carefully, he followed Alexandrite's steps, her croons and rumbles guiding him as he warily made his way through the copse of trees. It was only when he heard the sound of running water that he finally relaxed a bit. "Ah, we are not alone, dearest..." The condor rasped, clacking her beak sharply once. "Another?"
