xxxCHARMS ~ Axxx
- ■ Unfortunately for Rory, his skill at wandwork didn't seem inclined to improve over his years of school. He wasn't terrible at it, but he did struggle enough that if he failed to apply himself, his work suffered greatly. Since this class was one he didn't find particularly interesting, and reasoned he could always continue to improve on post-graduation, he didn't see the need to spend a lot of time on it.
xxxDEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS ~ Axxx
- ■ Despite his best efforts and dedication to doing well, Rory's lack of skill with his wand caught up to him in his NEWT level courses. He wasn't quite skilled enough to keep up anything but an average performance, no matter how much he tried. In the end, he had to reassure himself that as long as he passed the course, he had done well enough.
xxxPOTIONS ~ EExxx
- ■ A natural aptitude for this course, as well as his interest in the ways it could be applied to his art, saw Rory make high marks on this exam. His one hindrance was that, again, experimentation was more where his interests lie, and so he struggled a little with simply following directions.
xxxTRANSFIGURATION ~ Axxx
- ■ Just as with Charms and Defense, Rory couldn't seem to manage this course at the advanced level. He did well enough to ensure his marks didn't fall into the failing range, but keeping them passing, especially for this course, was a struggle. Originally, he'd had the motivation of rubbing it in people's faces that he was good enough, but new life experiences left him somewhat lacking that need to prove himself, so he got a little lax.

xxxART ~ Oxxx
- ■ Of course, being that this was the only class Rory truly cared about, and the only one in which he saw any sort of future, he gave himself to it wholeheartedly. He had a natural talent that was bolstered by years of practice and study, and unlike most everything else in life, he took art quite seriously.
xxxCARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES ~ Oxxx
- ■ Rory was mostly taking this course for the anatomy study, as he found his artistic niche lie in animals and had a special liking for those of the magical sort. But, he also found that he was rather fond of the course itself, despite the professor being his uncle's best friend. There was something simplistic about dealing with animals, who he knew were unlikely to attack him without being provoked, and were unlikely to harbor negative opinions of him for stupid reasons. He felt a very strong kinship with the creatures, which aided him greatly in the course.
