I miss TekTek and the Gold. Everything is so expensive now. And the monthly letters were fun. I don't know, a lot has changed since I came back. But I still love it. Just saying what I miss. n__n

Helloo, returning user here.
I started back in idk 2006-2008.
I miss TekTek, making outfits and questing for them was so much fun.
Its so strange now, items i used to quest forever for are now just like 1 platnium
I guess i miss the value of gold, the people i used to talk to all the time.
None of those people log on anymore.
I made a new account to start fresh too, so its a weird experience with the new currencies.

Sighs, I miss the fact that the site used to actually be active. I came back because the members of my old guild wanted to restart it, and I am seeing the same inactivity come back.
So, I am seriously regretting the decision.
Probably won't be back on here much longer ....
I also miss a lot of the people who used to hang out here.
Now I am done whining ...I am going to go do something else much more interesting.

But the site is active, you just have to find the right guild, thread or friends, I have made some really cool friends here, sure I understand every thing has changed, still there's still a lot of pros, I stay because of my aquarium buddies, and good friends, I think a nice chatterbox would make a difference xd heart

I miss puzzles being my main way of earning gold, now they give nothing.
I am glad fishing is still here. I also miss tektek, as I am not very good at the avi builder gaia has. I also miss a lot of my older friends, that have quit and I have no idea how they are doing.

I miss the monthly collectibles! All of these rigs and flow of new items has this oldbie's head spinning. It's a little bit overwhelming. Also, I miss the activity and fun that there once was before.

I miss Tektek, for sure. Other than that, I think things are generally better than they were. I preferred when the inflow of new items was a lot slower, though. Sure, you had to wait for new items, but you were 80% less likely to miss half the new items. I don't even know what all is out there anymore, and I'm an ATer, so I'm used to being able to point people to the correct item. gonk

I miss TekTek as well. I also miss the old Thank You Letters and the good old days when dolphins were the rage in booty grab aquariums. I thought 32k gold was alot from 2 tanks back then.

Oh man let's see... I miss when:
- Games like slots and blackjack had lots of people to talk to while you played
- Prize & Joy rewards felt worth it for playing those above games
- Water balloons, squirt guns, etc in Towns 1
- The Gambino story line existed
- Events were simple and usually just trick or treating in towns/shops
- (as many above me said) TekTek was a thing
- Being cool was wearing buck teeth, fairy wings, grass skirt, cig and baby seal slippers
- Trolls were harder to come by xD

I do miss TekTek and just the simpler website, I guess? The events used to be something I always came back for but now it just didn't feel worth it to do them anymore. sweatdrop

I miss a lot of things from when I first started, like the gold currency and my old friends, but then again I'm back because another site I was on went down and no longer exists. Even though it's clearly not the same from when I left I'm just happy that Gaia is still here.

After 2005, the community and internet as a whole really took a turn for the worse. People became more crass and trolls poured in. Now Gaia's a cesspool full of pathetic adults age 20-40 who refuse to get jobs or stop living off of their aging parents. And everything revolves around the Cash Shop now. I just don't see incentive to waste my hard earned money on a website that's basically become 4chan lite.
