Pika Guards

Chuuster, the famous celebrity Pikachu, a name known the world over. There is a good chance whenever you see a male Pikachu on a big name commercial or television show it's none other than Chuuster you're seeing. This particular Pikachu has been in so many television shows, commercials, and films that it has a net worth to rival even the most wealthiest of human millionaires. Chuuster is so wealthy and unique that he is even legally his own trainer! Pretty wild, huh?

Well as luck would have it Team Snagem has been hired to act as bodyguards for this famous Pikachu while he takes his vacation in Alola at Hano Grand Resort. You might be thinking why they would bother hiring out mercenaries to protect a Pikachu and assume there is more to it, if so you're correct. It has been discovered that someone, or several people, has infiltrated the Hano Grand Resort and are plotting to kidnap Chuuster for ransom. Master Chuuster, as his team of servants call him, however does not want to be disturbed by such things so it's up to you to uncover and foil this plot without disturbing Master Chuuster's vacation.

It's believed this plot to be the work of Team Skull, for no other reason than it's Alola and where there is easy money to be gained illegally there are there. So keep an eye out and make sure Chuuster is relaxed and safe. If all goes well for the entire week he's there we'll be paid handsomely and if there is one last bit of 'Master Chuuster's' reputation that holds true is that he pays people extremely well if they please him. Now go make that Pikachu happy!

-Objective:
---Protect Chuuster the celebrity Pikachu for the week he is staying at Hano Grand Resort.
---Uncover the plot inside the hotel to Pokenap Chuuster for ransom. It's believed Team Skull is behind it.

-Opposition:
---Skull grunts, they use Poison, Dark, Bug, and Psychic types native to Alola. At least two will rear their heads, with at least two Pokemon a piece.
---Possibly wild Pokemon on Hano Beach, Chuuster likes to hang out there.
---Chuuster, if you upset him. Don't do that.

-Pokemon:
---You may capture or snag one Pokemon that still evolves.

-Rewards:
---7x Snag Coins
---High potential for a great deal more Snag Coins based off of a humorous story.

Since the Hano Grand Resort didn't come with its own Pokemon Center, Keiko and I had to coerce GRAY into having Claydol teleport us to the Hana City Pokemon Center, from which we had to ride our Hoverbikes to the resort to avoid the wild Pokemon in the area. While I wouldn't normally pass up the opportunity to test my team against the locals, I didn't want to keep Chuuster waiting.

Once we made it to the resort, we entered the building and informed the front desk that we were the once hired to prevent Chuuster from getting Pokenapped. It took them a little while to confirm this with Chuuster's staff, though.

While we were waiting for Chuuster's staff to clear us, Keiko noticed somebody and ran off. Walking after her, we caught up to Ulla just after her scientist friend had left. "Hey, Ulla! You here for the mission, too?"

I didn't make any assumptions, but I had a gut feeling that Ulla had her own reasons for being here.

Leon would likely see a male Pikachu nearby, enjoying the wind in his fur and the sand in his paws. Though this particular Pikachu was known worldwide, he wouldn't look any different than any other Pikachu at the moment.

"Well, we're basically playing bodyguard for a popular Pikachu. It's not very exciting work unless you're a fan of his or something. Still, we may get the chance to battle Team Skull grunts, so you'll at least be helping your team get strong if they do show up," I explained.

"Sub hired us out to a Pikachu known as Chuuster. I've never really heard of him, but supposedly, he's been in a lot of commercials or something. What peaked my interest is that he's legally his own trainer. I'm kind of curious how that works," Keiko added.

The Pikachu would continue standing in silence until a Wishiwashi jumped out of the ocean in the horizon. The Pikachu began charging electricity in his body until letting it extend skyward, causing a thunderbolt to fall from the sky and land on the Wishiwashi before it could fall back into the ocean.

The Pikachu shrugged smugly at his success, then called two humans over in Pokespeak. The humans garbed the Pikachu in what looked like a bathrobe once they caught up to him. "Are you ready to come back inside, Master Chuuster?" one of them asked, to which Pikachu confirmed lazily. "The bodyguards you hired have arrived. Would you like to meet them?" the other asked. This time, the Pikachu shrugged and said something in Pokespeak, as if tolerating the idea presented to him. With that, the humans followed the Pikachu inside.

"Thank you for the offer. We'll see if we do end up having time, though. Chuuster's enemies might keep us busy," I said calmly We were meant to stay her for the whole week that Chuuster was, after all.

Before Keiko could react, a man in a suit walked up to us and greeted us. "I understand you two are the agents we hired," was all he said.

"Three," I corrected, motioning to Ulla. "She's with us.'

"Very well. Our client would like to meet with you. Please follow me." the man in the suit said before walking away from us.

"You think he's talking about Chuuster?" Keiko asked.

"Who else?" I shrugged, heading off after the man in the suit. Keiko waved for Ulla to follow her before she started chasing after me.

We followed the man for a while until we came to an elevator. We entered it after him and after waiting for a while, we eventually reached our floor. The elevator door opened to a wide room with a massive window showing the beach outside and letting plenty of sunlight in. On a recliner was the Pikachu in the bathrobe that was on the beach - none other than Chuuster himself.

Chuuster looked in our direction with one eye open, but he seemed to be interested at us as I assumed he waved us over. "Pi, pikachu. Pika pikachu."

"Oh," Rala said from behind me, which surprised me a bit. I thought she was in her ball. "Master, he wants me to translate for him."

"Might as well," I shrugged. "It'll make things easier." Nodding, Rala walked to Chuuster's side, just behind him as to not be at his side. Chuuster hopped off his seat and walked up to us. "Pi pika, chu. Pi..." Chuuster rubbed his chin after 'saying' that, as if sizing us up "Pika, pika," he added, pointing at me while looking at Rala. "Pika pikachu pika."

"He said he likes the look of you, Master," Rala said, making sure to brodcast her telepathy to everyone in the room, including Chuuster's staff. "He says you look like you take battling seriously."

"That, I do," I said proudly, with a smile on my face.

"Pika pika," Chuuster said, focusing on Keiko, this time. '...Pika pikachu! Pika pikaa!" Chuuster added excitedly, punching his palm.

'A Lopunny hybrid! Cute AND strong!" Rala translated, mimicking Chuuster verbally.

While I couldn't see it, I could tell Keiko was blushing. She didn't take compliments very well sometimes. Better than her getting mad about it, though. "Keiko hasn't learned any moves, yet, but she has plenty of powerful Pokemon with her," I explained.

"Pikachuu." "Good enough," Chuuster shrugged, Rala translating him right away now that she had time to adjust to her new job. Chuuster then focused on Ulla. "...ka? Pika pika?" he asked, looking disappointed. Rala didn't translate this time so as not to hurt Ulla's feelings.

"I can vouch for Ulla,' I told Chuuster. "Her Pokemon might be unevolved, but they're no slouches when it comes to battling."

"Pika pika." "I'll take your word for it," Chuuster shrugged, with Rala translating right away again. "Pikachu pika pikachu pi. Pika pika, pikachu pika pika. Pika pikachu pi." "You won't catch whoever's coming for me if all three of you hang around. Master and Ulla, go look around for whoever's got it out for me. The cu-I mean Keiko can stay behind."

"Why do I get the feeling that this Pikachu is a huge perv?" Keiko whispered to me. Thankfully, she had the wherewithal not to say that out loud.

"Just keep an eye on him," I whispered back. "Watch yourself and don't let anybody break in."

With that, I opened the door. "Come on, Ulla, we got some investigation to do," I said out loud, waiting for Ulla to walk through the doorway before leaving, myself.

"He was questioning why someone your age was working as a bodyguard," I explained once Ulla and I were out of earshot. "I vouched for you so there wouldn't be any problems. As far as the plan goes, we case the resort. The Beach, the resort grounds, the floors, etc. The whole nine yards. Once we find anything about the people targeting our client, we take them out," I explained, expecting this mission to go simply.

Meanwhile, Keiko and Rala were left behind with Chuuster. The Pikachu in the room was rubbing his chin and looking pleased with himself. "Pika pikachu. Pika pika pikachu pika chu, pika pikachu pi. Pikachu pika pika chu." "The bad guys never keep things simple. They'll probably send a few of their grunts after those two just to keep them busy, but they'll send the bulk of their forces here. I've been in too many action movies not to see this coming," Chuuster explained, with Rala translating.

"Oh, that's why you wanted me here," Keiko spoke up, as if surprised by the fact.

Chuuster wasn't oblivious to what Keiko thought of him. "Chu, pika pika. Pika pikachu, pi." (Relax, I know you've got it bad for tha- er, Master. I prefer my girls to be 100% Pokemon, anyway." He explained with a shrug. Chuuster then exchanged some words with Rala in Pokespeak. Apparently, Chuuster didn't like Rala's use of Master while translating him, and she had to explain that she only said that because that's what she refers to me as, and why. This calmed Chuuster down, and slightly weirded him out at the same time.

I gave Ulla a reassuring pat on the back as we made our way back to the ground floor. As much as my parents got on my case about things, I didn't want to think about them not being around when I was younger. I didn't pretend to think I knew what Ulla was going through in that regard.

"So, where do you want to start?" I asked, thinking we had time.

"A wild Kalosian Pokemon in Alola?" I asked, recognizing the Normal/Fire-type from my personal studies. Rala was quick to correct me, though, as she teleported to my side. "That's not a wild Pokemon," she explained. "His trainer told him to stop us."

"Try not to read strangers' minds without permisison," I told Rala, despite how informative she was being. "I appreciate you clarifying things for us, but I don't need you turning into Reno."

"S-sorry, Master," Rala blushed. She was a little bit ashamed of being compared to my rival.

"Translating Pokespeak is fine, just... Sorry, I didn't meant to insult you," I caved, able to feel Rala's embarrassment.
