[Forge RP] What's this about mushrooms? (PRP for Sindi)

[Lunadriel]

Sindi had heard of a great forge master, who welded metal and forged great weapons for worthy adventurers! All one had to do, was defeat monsters or troublesome pests in the area. Sindi had been so eager at the chance for battle! Once she got there though, it seemed all the fun tasks had been completed. The forge master had laughed at her, and asked for his favorite soup instead. (knowing the task had proven to be more difficult than even slaying Death himself!)

Sindi had wrinkled her nose, and decided she would give it a try. Those shiny weapons looked great! She could help so many innocent people if she had a weapon all of her own.

So out she set, determined, but a bit out shined by the lackluster task of collecting mushrooms.

Sindi searches around forEVER and finds nothing. When she's about to give up, she finally finds a mushroom located under a rotting stump. It's suuuuper slimy. She leans close to sniff it, and touches her nose to the slime. The smell knocks her clean on her rump!! She's out all afternoon, dreaming about shiny things.

Mushroom count: Zero.  

[Lunadriel]

When Sindi wakes up, she gets angry and kicks the dead log that had the slimy mushroom from before. As she does, it breaks away to reveal the mother load of mushrooms! Yis! Sindi gently scoops up the mushrooms with a big grin. See, not so hard, right? Her confidence bubbled up. No doubt, that burst of confidence would get dashed away soon enough.

Mushroom count: 5  

[Lunadriel]

Sindi gets a little over zealous trying to rush through some brambles. She needed to find more mushrooms! After trudging through the brambles, she notices that she has lost some mushrooms.

Alright, that was not cool! Stupid brambles. She would have to be more careful. Huffing out of slight frustration, Sindi presses on.

Mushroom count: 3  

[Lunadriel]

Being careful, is not something Sindi is good at. As she's trying to tiptoe past the brambles, they grab her sack one more time and shake out a couple of mushrooms. She doesn't notice at first. She goes to check her stash, as she notices it feels a little light. Down to one mushroom.

"Oh come ON!" she shouts at no one in particular. "You have got to be kidding me...."

Mushroom count: 1 rofl  

[Lunadriel]

After a moment of sulking, Sindi returns to looking for mushrooms. The decaying log had proved a good place to look! How quick she had forgotten about the slimy mushroom she had found in the same place...

There's a stump! she thinks to herself as she rushes over to it. Luckily, no slimy, stinky, fog inducing mushrooms this time!

"Victory is mine!" she exclaims as she pops the mushrooms into her bag. Where to next? Sindi bobs along through the forest, humming a little diddy. The mushroom song!

Mushroom Count: 6  

[Lunadriel]

Mushroom, mushroom, where are you? she sings as she hoofs around the forest floor. As luck would have it, she finds one more! "I see youuuuuu." she says with a grin as she plucks it up, and puts it in her rucksack.

Finally, she felt calm and collected after loosing her other mushrooms. She would have her mushrooms, and be back before dark!

Mushroom count: 7  

[Lunadriel]

As Sindi is singing along, and humming her song, a few creatures come out of the underbrush and look at her uncomfortably.

Sindi eyes them, and then sings them her mushroom song. Sadly, she does not have the musical talent her family does. Her song is slightly off key, and her voice very deep for her small size.

The animals look uncomfortable, and shoove some mushrooms her way.

They have accepted my song, and are paying me tribute!! Sindi thinks, as she gets all misty eyed.

"Thank you little critters!" Mom would be so proud of her! She was connecting with the forest!

Mushroom Count: 10  

[Lunadriel]

Sindi comes across a squirrel and blinks at it. emotion_kirakira "Oh, do you want me to sing to you too?" she starts to sing, and feels a rustle in her sack. "Hey--HEY!!!" she calls out, seeing an accomplice squirrel dash away with one of her mushrooms. "NO SONG FOR YOU THEN." she says with a frown and a hoof stomp as she watches the other squirrel dart away while making angry squirrely noises.

The audacity of that squirrel! Their loss!

Mushroom Count: 9  

[Lunadriel]

It had been a while since Sindi had found another mushroom. What would she stumble across next? She was feeling a fatigued from the fuss of the other squirrels stealing her mushroom. She had stopped singing too.

She finds a burst of motivation when she spots another log! That's where the good stuff is!! Sure enough, she turns up a handful of mushrooms and pops them into her bag.

Victory for Sindi again!



Mushroom Count: 14  

[Lunadriel]

Sindi notices some brambles up ahead. NOT THIS TIME. she thinks to herself. The patch is small though. Sindi doesn't think it through, and tries to hop over it. It still catches her bag and onmonoms some of her mushrooms through a small hole.

Sindi makes a gonk face. Brambles = less mushrooms. She knew this, and still lost some! How could such a simple obstacle catch her everytime?! She would show those brambles next time!! If she had a sword, she would slash her way through them!

Mushroom count: 12

((All I can think of is Paula Abdul singing "I take two steps forward, I take two steps back." Hahahahahaha.))

Sindi goes back to the tried and true log hunt. She finds a log that's not quite as decayed as the others she had found. It's much heavier to push over, but she is rewarded when she does!

"Wooo hooo!" she calls out as she does a little jig, and puts the mushrooms in her bag.

Mushroom Count: 17  

[Lunadriel]

Sindi wants to finish her task, but is hesitant. This is all going very well for her. She doesn't want to get too hopeful, and have her hopes dashed by some dastardly squirrel again.

Slow and careful, and she will get this done! Sindi is getting a little hungry though. With her hungry tummy, she catches a whiff of a mushroom. Resisting the urge to eat it, she tosses it in the bag with the rest of them.

Sindi decides to take a moment to backtrack over the areas she had already gone. Not thinking, she picks up the same slimy mushroom from the beginning!!! MISTAKE!! Sindi has a split second to get angry at herself, before drifting off for a mushroom induced slumber.

Mushroom count: 15  

[Lunadriel]

Sindi dreams about those rude squirrels. One is talking to her in a gruff voice, telling her to come to the pony show, and leave all her mushrooms behind.

She tossed and turned, disturbed by the squirrel thief trying to lure her away in her dreams. As it would happen, she was napping in the brambles. A few mushrooms slip out as she's thrashing about.
