xxxASTRONOMY ~ EExxx
- ■ Cel already knows a lot about the stars; he likes folk music, and folk music likes mythology, and mythology and the stars kind of go hand in hand. He wasn't so great at the more technical information, but anything relating to the constellations he was solid on. If he'd applied himself, he probably could've aced the exam, but Cel's not one for studying.
xxxCHARMS ~ EExxx
- ■ Cel's not bad at wandwork, but he is a bit on the lazy side. This class wasn't the least bit difficult for him. He actually created difficulty for himself by not paying attention. He didn't do terribly on the written exam, but he certainly could've done better. He just barely managed an EE.
xxxDEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS ~ Axxx
- ■ Cel is a lover, not a fighter. At least, that's what he says when asked why he doesn't do well in this course. He manages to stay passing, but only barely at times. He's not particularly skilled, and struggles more here than possibly in any other course. He passed his exam mostly out of fear; he did not want to find out what his mother would do if he failed.
xxxHERBOLOGY ~ Axxx
- ■ Cel's alright with plants, but again, he's lazy. He tends to take the easy way out when he can, and while he's never actively killed a plant, it's a close thing. He honestly only applies himself in this class because he's terrified that his Head of House might murder him and use him for fertilizer. As it is, he's certainly lacking a green thumb.
xxxHISTORY OF MAGIC ~ Oxxx
- ■ Again, having a love of folk music helped Cel out in this course. He likes history, surprisingly enough, and went into most of his lessons having already read or otherwise familiarized himself with the material. He studied more for this class than he did for most, because he wants to eventually write modern folk music, and he does not want to be one of those people who got a date wrong or used the wrong name in a song.
xxxPOTIONS ~ Axxx
- ■ Cel's alright at this class, but he's not exactly patient. He follows the steps well enough, but tends to move on to the next step after having waited for the least amount of time possible, rather than actually looking at whether or not his potion is ready for it. As such, his work is passable, but certainly nothing worthy of praise. Except, maybe, 'you didn't blow anything up.' It does help that he tried to apply himself more in the class so that he could help his best friend, who was terrified of the professor, to pass the exam.
xxxTRANSFIGURATION ~ Axxx
- ■ Cel only barely passed this exam. Like, by one question barely. He was utter rubbish at the class, didn't pay attention, and honestly if he was going to skip a class, it would be this one. He didn't care to waste his time on something he was so bad at, and found so confusing, not when he could be focused on other pursuits. It is only by the grace of God and fear for his mother's wrath that he passed. He's thanking his lucky stars he didn't miss that one question.

xxxALCHEMY ~ Axxx
- ■ Cel did alright in this course, possibly better than he did at his other practical courses, but he didn't apply himself in the least. He took it more out of curiosity and due to the 'mystery' surrounding the art of alchemy than for any real desire to be good at it. He found it interesting, but it was hardly something he was passionate about. Still, he liked it well enough that he applied himself.
xxxART ~ EExxx
- ■ Cel isn't the most technically skilled person, but he is exceptionally creative. He likes being able to express himself, either by writing or by drawing. He's tried his hand at sculpting as well, which he's not quite so good at, but not terrible either. He enjoyed this class and took it as time to relax and work out frustrations. What he lacks in ability, he usually makes up for in enthusiasm.
xxxDIVINATION ~ EExxx
- ■ This was a course that fell under the same header as both Astronomy, and Alchemy. He was somewhat familiar with the art for its history in folk music, and found it to be an interesting, strange subject. That said, the professor is entertaining, but crazy. He had trouble keeping up at times, and definitely prescribed to the 'fake it til you make it' school of thought. He's not entirely sure if his exam score is luck, or if he accidentally got better at Divination than he realized.
xxxGHOUL AND GHOST STUDIES ~ EExxx
- ■ Cel took this class because of his love of history; after all, who knows history better than the dead? He wasn't as interested in the 'ghoul' aspect, though that was interesting in its own way. He did much better with ghosts, though, and enjoyed having an excuse to talk to Hogwart's various ghostly residents. He doesn't really intend to get much use out of this class, but he liked it well enough that he applied himself anyway.
xxxMUSIC ~ Oxxx
- ■ Cel eats, sleeps, and breathes music. His father is a musician, and while he doesn't like the man all that much, he certainly takes after him in a lot of ways. He also intends to be better than his father, which means he has to practice and apply himself. Most of the energy he failed to use for other courses wound up getting used here. He's not an expert, but he's certainly working his way towards becoming one.
xxxMYTHOLOGY ~ Oxxx
- ■ This is Cel's second favorite class, and second best. He loves it, finds the curriculum interesting and is already familiar with a lot of it. He hardly even has to pay attention to do well because he's already done so much reading, but he pays attention anyway because he loves participating in the discussion. If he applied half of this energy to any of his other courses, he could've gotten high marks in everything. Instead, he used the exam as an excuse to read the same stories over and over again until he could recite them by heart.
xxxSTUDY OF ANCIENT RUNES ~ EExxx
- ■ Cel's not quite as good at this class as he is at history and mythology, not finding it quite as intuitive. However, it's high on his priority list of things he wants to be good at, so he makes up for that by actually paying attention and actually doing his homework. He probably studied more for this class than he did for any of the others, except maybe Transfiguration (which he had to study like a madman for just to pass). His score wasn't particularly high, but it was above average, which is all he could've really asked for.
