◊ AMBITIOUS Talbot has one goal in life, and that's to recover the wealth that his family had. As a result, he works with a single-minded determination that is hard to match. He refuses to take failure as an option, and will find other means to get to his goal if the path he's taking fails to produce the results he desires.

CHILDHOOD Talbot is the only child of Sherrod and Shannon Clifton. Losing both parents at an eartly age, Talbot doesn't remember much about them, and instead was raised by his father's distant cousin. It wasn't really all that bad, at least at first, but then again, Tablot wasn't old enough to understand just why his cousin raising him was such a bad thing.
Terry Clifton, Sherrod's last living relative, had many debts that he'd managed to hide from a great many people. When he became Talbot's legal guardian, he also happened to gain control of Talbot's inheritance until the young boy reached maturity. As a result, Terry had, over the course of time, squandered all of the Clifton fortune, leaving the estate in debt. Talbot only learned about it when at the age of ten, he found notes relating to the family's debt laying around his father's old office. Talbot, now fully aware of what had been happening, confronted his cousin, but Terry brushed it off, stating that Talbot owed him for raising him for all this time. As a result, Talbot was unable to do much, though he felt he needed to do something. When he received his Hogwarts letter, he was both glad and worried as Terry's squandering meant that he had to be extra careful with even buying school supplies, and he worried that he might not even be able to graduate simply because of a lack of funds.

SCHOOL YEARS
- ◊ FIRST YEAR First year was interesting for Talbot, though he wasn't sure about how his schoolmates viewed him. He was sorted into Slytherin, but while he would have loved to play on the quidditch team, he realized he'd missed the tryouts. He did make a friend or two, so it wasn't all that bad for Talbot.
◊ SECOND YEAR Talbot finally got onto the quidditch team in second year, and, even better, managed to play in a game to boot. School was decent and Talbot couldn't complain. He just hoped that Terry didn't get them into bigger trouble.
