Lykas waited by the entrance to the forest. According to Sub, the one of the team's "recruiters" had found someone living inside that was interested in joining the team. He was supposedly a bit afraid of humans so it had been decided a hybrid would be the best person for the job of picking them up and bringing them back to HQ to be properly inducted into the team as a true and proper member. The Jellicent hybrid leaned against a tree by the forest gate, and listened, waiting for an audible sign that the recruit in question was coming close enough to give them a greeting.
He stood there with his SNAG in hand, reading over the new guy's info, and wondering what he might be like in person. His ponytails twitched periodically, his anticipation growing as time went on.

Alexander was unsure if this was the right thing to do. The Hybrid he had met said that his forest would be safe from humans with the help of this Snagem group, but he felt a little reluctant now that he was going to meet another person from the team. The woman had been nice to him despite their rough meeting, and she had been so kind with helping fight off the poachers that saught to hunt his pokemon family. But the thought of leaving the forest. A home he had known for the past ten years. He was a little unsure if he could. While walking through the forest towards the gates separating the forest and the outside world, Alexander could feel Nemi nudging him forward. The small zubat not letting her companion get cold feet about this. She wanted to see the outside world but she would never go if it meant Alexander was going to remain in the forest. She would never leave him alone. They were best friends after all.
"Nemi...a..are you sure this is a good idea?? I know what I said. But...the world outside the forest is stock full of evil humans. What if---" he said nervously before Nemi started to squeak up her two cents on the matter. Her wings fluttering her body in front of her friends face as she spoke her words that most people would think was just an angered zubat. Alexander looked up at the pokemon from beneath his hooded cloak. Listening to her words as it played out in his head what she was possibly saying. Nodding he took a deep breath and tried to relax. The initial fear was making him panic about what might happen but not what will happen. Smiling timidly he nodded as he reached up and gently patted the female zubat on the head.
"R..Right. As long as we're together it should be fine. Right??" he asked as Nemi nodded and the two continued closer to the forest gates. When they got close enough, Alexander could sense what he assumed was another hybrid near the entrance. His eyes looked out from under the large hood covering his head as he saw the sight of something blue in the entrance and bright light behind them signaling the sun in an open space. His eyes closed as he flinched. A pain coming to him as his sensitive eyes hurt. Rubbing his eyes he tried to come out of the blinding effect but it was a bit hard since he usually stuck to the shadows of the forest til night time came.
Lykas could hear the young male's voice in the distance long before he could see him and pushed himself off the tree he was leaning against, stowing his SNAG back into his pocket and pulling out something else entirely. A pair of Black Glasses he had nicked out of Nebu's shop before coming out here. "You might want to put these on?" He offered politely as he extending his hand toward the Crobat hybrid, holding the glasses out for him. "I assume you struggle with bright light if our information is right?" He added.
The blue-skinned male offered a crooked smile alongside the offered glasses, lilac eyes mostly squinted shut as he tried to make himself look less imposing to the stranger. "I'm not sure if our recruiter told you any names-" He started. "But my name is Lykas Fenrall. Water Master and member of Team Snagem. Sub sent me to guide you to our home." He introduced himself before offering a polite bow in greeting.

Alexander cringed when his echolocation made him sense that someone was reaching out to him with an unknown object. His eyes opening slightly to try and see what was being given to him. When the sound of a males voice told him to put the item on. He blinked before nodding and reaching to take the glasses. Once he was sure what it was he put it over his eyes and blinked a few times as he started to adjust to the darkness that the sunglasses gave him. His cheeks flushing slightly when Nemi started to screech a thankyou to the unknown hybrid. Alexander nodding a thank you to the unknown hybrid as well.
As the male spoke up, he shook his head at the question of if the zoroark woman had mentioned any names. "N...No..s..shy d..didn't..." he said timidly as he fiddled with the hem of his knitted sweater. It was patchworked due to having to repair it many times in his years of living in the forest. All his clothes were patchworked a bit. The only thing that wasn't was his hooded cloak which he had made from scratch with the help of the leavanny in the forest. When Lykas introduced himself. He gently tugged the hem of his sweater before nodding as the male seemed to bow in greeting. "H...Hello..I...I am Alexander. And this is Nemi. My best...best friend..." he said timidly as Nemi flew towards Lykas and made soft screeches of greeting before going and landing atop Alexanders head. Her body tucking between the small ears that was sewn into the hood of the cloak.
"It's nice to meet you, Alex." Lykas greeted, shortening the other hybrid's name to be a bit more to his liking. "It's my understanding that you aren't fond of humans, correct?" He asked, as he straightened up. "If that's the case, we'll take the back roads to avoid them as much as possible." He offered, smiling at Nemi as the Zubat thanked him.
"And it's nice to meet you as well, Nemi. You're very welcome." He offered to the little Zubat. He'd never been sure if they could actually see like other Pokemon before so he hoped his smile wasn't wasted but it felt right to do it either way. "I understand best friends all too well. My own is my Gardevoir. He was my very first Pokemon and he's been with me ever since."
With the introductions now complete, the Water-type hybrid took a moment to look around. He hadn't spent much time assessing the best route to take from here to get back home, yet, so now was as good a time as any.

Alex blinked as he looked up at the taller male. Hearing the other mention his distaste for humans his eyebrows furrowed slightly before he nodded. With a look of anger on his face that was obvious to anyone that he despised humans. Though when the mention of taking the back roads came up. His nodded slightly as he didn't want to move his head too much with Nemi perched on top of it. She liked to perch herself on his head but she didn't like it when she was forced off it before she was ready to get off herself.
Alex blinked as Nemi has greeted as well as himself. Alex blushing timidly at the shortened name. He hadn't heard that in years. The last time he heard it was from his big sisters. His parents just didn't call him such things. They called him by his full name. Which after his sisters died from experiments on them, he kind of stuck with using his full name when talking to other people. But he preferred the name Lil' bat. "P...Please...c..call me...l...li'l bat." he said timidly as he fiddled with his fingers a little. The memory of his sisters coming to him and how they had died due to their despicable parents. It made him feel tears well up in his eyes. Li'l bat was the name the townspeople that had come through the forest from time to time nicknamed him. Due to him being a crobat hybrid. He often dressed as a bat as well. Since he full-heartedly took to his pokemon blood. He denied the thought of being with humans.
Lykas started at the sight of Alexander's tears. He hadn't intended to hurt the poor guy's feelings. His cheeks flushed a deeper blue for a moment. "Well... sure. If that's your preference then 'Li'l Bat', it is." He assured the hybrid. In an effort to make the young man more comfortable, he reached to his waist and lightly tapped a ball clipped to his obi, releasing another of his oldest friends from her ball.
"Luuuux." Sphynx yawned, the Luxray stretching out and taking a look around as she materialized from the energy that erupted from her ball. "Sphynx, girl, would you be willing to give our new friend a ride if he likes?" He asked of the large cat. "Luuuux ray." The Electric type mewled, following it up with a happy purr and she pressed her head into the Jellicent hybrid's hand for a light scratch. "I thought you wouldn't mind." Lykas laughed.
"It'll be a long walk so if your legs get tired, just give Sphynx here a tap and she'll let you ride for a while, alright?" Lykas told Alexander as he began to walk, slowly, leading the way now that he had an idea of just where they were.

Alex started to wipe at his eyes. Gently pushing the sunglasses upon his face as he wiped his eyes with the sleeves of his shirt. He knew it was weird. To cry because of a name. But he only let his sisters call him by that. And with them gone, he often cried at the mention of the name his sisters would call him. He loved his big sisters. They treated him so well. The four of them would take care of one another during the times their parents would be off experimenting in their lab. He considered his sisters more of his parents than anything else. He considered his parents to be monsters incarnate.
Nodding timidly when Lykas mentioned that he would call him by the nickname. He wiped at the remaining tears on his face before he placed the sunglasses back down onto his nose. He then looked up as a luxray was released from a Pokeball. His eyes staring at it as Lykas mentioned that if his feet got tired to ride on the felines back to help. Nodding timidly he felt Nemi flap her wings before she came to inspect the luxray curiously. His mouth opening every few minutes as it circled the large electric cat before floating just above its head and making happy little screeches to greet the pokemon.
When Lykas started to walk, Alexander started to follow. His eyes staring around as he started to use his echolocation under his breath to ensure they were safe while they walked. His ability to sense when humans were nearby was something he innately learned in the ten years of living among nothing but pokemon.
"I'm not going to lie to you." Lykas voiced as they walked, keeping the treeline to their side for a temporary waypoint until he got them back to the road proper. "You remind me somewhat of a young man I heard about in the Unova region a while back. He was a Pokemon Rights activists who hated humans when he first appeared." He explained, figuring Alexander had likely not heard of him. "They called him 'N', I think it was. But he learned it wasn't all humans that were terrible, eventually." Looking over his shoulder at Alexander, his smile would find it's way to his lips again. "Maybe someday you can learn that, too."
Those words were not spoken lightly, however. The Water Master's voice carried an air of certainty to it. He knew Alexander would, eventually, learn that same lesson. He would have little choice but to learn to trust his new allies, at least. "Our organization isn't all hybrids and Pokemon, after all. You'll get the chance to work alongside a few humans in the team, though most of them are Channelers." He explained, supposing it made little difference if they were or weren't, however.
He lazily scratched Sphynx's ears as she greeted Nemi with a soft mewl and another purr. Large as she was, she was more house cat to Lykas than battler anymore. She was a wonderful sentry, however, able to see through obstacles and warn them of unseen dangers. Padding along at Lykas' side, she would flick her tail about occasionally, watching the world in front of them with keen eyes.

Alex listened as Lykas told him about his similarity towards a human man named N. He listened but he wasn't sure if he would ever change his mind about humans as the other hybrid had said. "I..I don't think ill change my mind about humans. The only ones I loved were taken from me when I was little....and when I came to live in the forest...i...i saw human after human take my family away. I...I hate humans with a passion for what they did." he said slightly angrily as his wings fluttered behind him. He despised humans and what they did to his sisters. His parents were monsters and the poachers were always kidnapping his pokemon family for who knows what. The thought that he would accept humans again was something he didnt think he was capable of doing.
Lykas grimaced at the poor boy's words. His hatred ran deep. "I've known emotions like that." He told the young man as he strolled, limber legs carrying him with ease. "They take root deep inside your heart and no matter how much you might try, they won't let you go." He said with a small shake of his head. "But I can guarantee you'll learn someday. You won't hate all humans, eventually. I can't say if you'll ever learn to trust a stranger but the humans in our group aren't like the others. We might steal objects and money but when it comes to Pokemon? Most of us will only take a Pokemon if they're unhappy with the human they're with or if they want to travel with us." He explained. "I don't expect you to believe me. Go ahead and expect the worst of them if you want. But at least keep an open mind?" He requested. He seemed to be building up to something now, the road nearby coming into view in the distance.

Lykas's words made the young hybrid skeptical. But...he trusted other hybrids compared to the humans he had met in his life. It was mostly because he knew he was a hybrid. And...his desire to find those that were similar to him in any way, it fueled him to want to trust the hybrid zoroark woman that he had met three months prior. She was so mean half the time....but she was so kind as well. It..It made him think of his big sisters and how they would treat him kindly and try to protect him. He...honestly hadn't felt that from anyone besides the pokemon that raised him since he had come to live in the forest. It made him want to meet other hybrids. Know what life they lived when he was used to an isolated life away from other beings like himself and humans.
Alex looked down at his hands as they clenched the hem of his patchworked knitted sweater. He wasn't sure if he should believe what Lykas said about the humans in the group...but The lady Zoroark had mentioned the same thing to him. He wasn't willing to trust humans at all. But the thought that two hybrids had mentioned this...It made him curious about what type of humans were in the group. "I...I'll try..b..but...i...i won't trust them.." he said timidly as he followed after Lykas. When the sight of the road came into view. Alex blinked his eyes behind the sunglasses. He had never ventured this far before. He usually stuck to the forest and never really ventured out into the world outside the barrier of trees.
The sight of a road. It made him blush slightly. And be a little hesitant. he slowly came to a stop as his body shivered slightly. The thought that he was leaving his home for the past ten years made him slightly scared again. This made Nemi screech slightly as she tried to alert Sphynx and Lykas to what had happened. Her wings making her flutter around her companion as she tried to cheer him up slightly. His hands clenching the spot of his sweater over his heart. He..He felt so scared suddenly. The thought of entering the outside world hitting him like a ton of bricks and making him freeze on the spot. His eyes staring at the road up ahead.
Lykas could almost sense the apprehension in Alexander's body as the road drew ever closer. He had a feeling the other hybrid might not be ready for direct exposure to the outside world. "You're shaking..." Lykas pointed out. "I'm glad I came prepared." He said to himself more than to Alexander. "Let's make this trip shorter, after all." Clicking a Pokeball at his waist once again, he released his aforementioned Gardevoir.
"Mykel, can you Teleport us all to Mt. Silver? I'm not going to force our new recruit to travel the roads yet." He asked of the Gardevoir, his unique coloring flashing in the light.
"Sure thing, boss!" Mykel replied, his mental voice clear and soothing as he spoke Telepathically to the two hybrid and their Pokemon. [cornflowerblue]"You don't get Teleportation Sickness, do you?" The Embrace Pokemon asked Alexander directly, walking gracefully over to him and taking his hand in his own. He looked directly into the Crobat hybrid's eyes and waited patiently for his answer. This was going to be a big jump so it would be better to be sure their new friend wouldn't suffer any ill effects if possible.

Alex wasn't sure what to do. It was like his body wouldn't move even though he knew he had to keep walking. So...when Lykas turned and took notice of him due to Nemi's call to warn him. Alex's body shivered as his fingers tightened at grasping his sweater. His cheeks flushing deeply as he heard the voice of the other. "S..Sorry..i...i..dont think..i...i can leave..after all..." he said in a wavering frightened voice. His heart ached at the thought of leaving his home, his pokemon family, everything he had known for the past ten years. Even though he knew that he was joining the group of other hybrids and even humans. He found himself frightened. Scared to go any further and leave the safety of the forest.
When the sight of another shine of light came from Lykas's hip, Alex blinked as he looked over at the gardevoir. The pokemon was beautiful to look at. The male pokemon seemed to listen to what Lykas said before an echo entered his head and he could hear the sound of the gardevoir's voice ask him something. His eyes looked up through the sunglasses. Staring up at the taller pokemon. When the question was asked. He thought about it before shaking his head. He uses to use teleport with an abra in the forest. It was a safer way to transport the pokemon that he saved from poachers back to his home in the cave deeper in the forest. "N...No..t..though...i do get a little..dizzy after the teleporting..i..i don't think i have much of..a reaction." he said timidly as he felt Nemi land atop his head once more and nuzzle into the middle of his hood between the sewn-on ears.
Lykas couldn't help himself when Alexander started to feel like he shouldn't leave. "You'll be fine. I won't let anyone bother you." He assured the other hybrid before nodding to Mykel. The Gardevoir nodded back in return before his eyes began to glow, spreading his consciousness out to envelop the group as a whole. With a flash of light and a soft "pop", the group vanished, whisked across time and space to arrive at the base of Mt. Silver almost in the same instant they had left.
"She probably didn't give you much information on where our base is located since we tend to keep that classified until new recruits are ready to join us there but we actually live in a mountain cave, just like you did in your forest." Lykas explained as he scratched Sphynx's ears once again.
"It's a really nice place." Mykel assured before returning to his Pokeball of his own accord. Lykas would call him out again if needed, after all.
"This forest is a natural deterrent to uninvited humans and only the strongest ones in the connecting regions are permitted to even come to the mountain because of how strong the wild Pokemon here can be."
