*Clue Text*
Surely we're all familiar with this Television Game long before Modern The Price is Right & still continues to this day.
As its Rules of Gameplay are simple but a Hard Television Game. You would need to be a Trivia Master to be on this show...

Drenden's Answer: What is Jeopardy?

Guild Owner: That's the one. Have a seat and I'll tell you more.

*Jeopardy Gameplay: Opening*
Guild Owner: The Game opens as we are introduced to 3 Players with their names and where they're from. After this from 1984 to 2020, we are introduced to the Host, Alex Trebek then introduced to the Game Board along with the Values for each Clue.

*Jeopardy Gameplay: Main Gameplay*
Guild Owner: There are 3 Rounds of Gameplay...
Jeopardy, Double Jeopardy & Final Jeopardy.
There's 6 Categories each with 5 Clues. Some of the Categories have conditions before Gameplay begins or Hosted by a member of the Clue Crew which is read by a guest star.
In the First show of 1984, because there was No Champion, a Player that won the number drawing was granted control of the board and can select the first clue.
A player who rings in and answers correctly takes control of the board and selects the next clue. A Player can select any one of the 30 Clues that are on the board without restrictions. However, due to Time Constraints, all 30 Clues may not be used which means after a 5-tone alarm beep sound, the round would end. The Clues and Television Game's Title is the only Game that does not answer a single question while in turn provides the answers and its up to the player to phrase it in quote, "Form of a Question".
Here's an example of one...

*Clue Text*
1991's Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country is dedicated to this person who created Constitution Class Spaceship, a Crew, its Voyages & boldly took us where no one has gone before.

*Jeopardy Gameplay: Scoring*
Guild Owner: That would be... Who is Gene Roddenberry?
As with most Trivia, a correct Question Response grants the player the value of the clue to his or her score which is the player who rings in while an incorrect Question Response deducts the valve of the clue from the player's score. With every ring in, that player's score is "In Jeopardy" so to speak.
On the Television show, another player's score to be be deducted is to take too long to respond or a ruling from the Judges that can increase or decrease a player's score if an error was made.
The Nighttime Scoring for Jeopardy was simple both Modern and Classic Nighttime Version as each clue is scaled in difficulty for both Regular & Double Jeopardy Rounds
= Classic Nighttime Scoring from 1984 to 2001: Jeopardy Round
100
200
300
400
500
= Classic Nighttime Scoring from 1984 to 2001: Double Jeopardy Round
200
400
600
800
1,000
= Modern Nighttime Scoring from 1984 to 2001: Jeopardy Round
200
400
600
800
1,000
= Modern Nighttime Scoring from 1984 to 2001: Double Jeopardy Round
400
800
1,200
1,400
1,600
2,000
There's more Scoring but its from the Daytime Version which I'll talk about in a moment.
These 2 Rounds have Differences in which the Difficulty is the same but the value of the Clues are Doubled. Standard Jeopardy has 1 Daily Double while Double Jeopardy has 2. Double Jeopardy has the Player who is in Last Place go first.
After these 2 rounds, the Final Jeopardy would would take place. Players must have at least $1 in his or her score to advance to the Final Round. However, there have been some players who finished the game with his or score being "In the Red" so to speak and were not allowed to proceed to Final Jeopardy which did happen in the Television Show once or twice at least.
Before the Final Jeopardy Round starts, a Category is shown where the players are asked how much of their remaining score to wager.
The Clue would then be shown as the players then would need to write down their responses in the Form of a Question accompanied by this cue known as the "Jeopardy Think" music...

*Jeopardy Gameplay: Final Jeopardy*
Guild Owner: Finally, from 3rd Place to First, the player's Question Response is shown along with their Score Wager. The Wager for this round is nothing to the Player's Total Score.

Dranor whispered What happens if you tie in this so called Jeopardy Game after the Final Round?

*Jeopardy Gameplay: Tiebreakers*
Guild Owner: In the event of a Tie Score for 2 or 3 Players. Another category would be shown for the Tiebreaker. After the Clue is read fully, the player who rings in first and answers correctly in the form of a question wins the game.

*Jeopardy Gameplay: Daily Doubles*
Guild Owner: While this maybe a hard Quiz Television Game at first glance, its very simple to play which worked for years.
But first... Game History for 400.

Guild Owner: Okay. Here's what happened, in the Jeopardy Round, there's one Daily Double while Double Jeopardy has 2 Daily Doubles which are hidden somewhere in the 30 Clues. A player who is lucky enough to find one of these can add or deduct a player's score and the player who finds is the only person to come up with a response. Once found, a player is asked for a wager on his or her current score which can be as little as $5, the Maximum Value of the Clue for the Round, any of the player's score or all of the player's score.
Remember, its either you know the answer in which you'll gain to the score or you don't know the answer in which you'll lose to your score. Its possible to lose the entire score if is not careful.

*Jeopardy Gameplay: Points of Origin*
Guild Owner: This began with the 1950s where Quiz Shows were worth watching on Television such as 21 or Tic-Tac-Dough. However, things were different Behind the Scenes as players were given the answers ahead of time in an effort to get better ratings & when this was made Public, it wasn't pretty in the best ways either. Here's what my thoughts were...
The Guild owners shows what could have happened if the idea of Players being given the answers ahead of time went public in the 1950s...

Guild Owner: ...My Point Exactly. The end result of that affair was all quiz shows on Television seen as "An Unfair Advantage", causing them to be canceled before the 1950s had even ended. This might have been the Final Nail in the Quiz Show Genre's Coffin if one person did not do something about it who was a Producer at the time.
The concept idea was...
"To give the players the Answers & make them give the Questions."
This concept came from Merv Griffin who forwarded it to NBC & NBC picked it up without hesitation or even reviewing a Pilot Episode!
That result was a Daytime Version of Jeopardy in 1964, Art Flemming was the Host during that time.
One thing to note that Daytime Television Games were different than Nighttime Television Games because Television Games appearing during the Day was a massive advantage over Primetime as people growing up in the 1960s could watch this during their lunch breaks and walk away learning something new. Jeopardy's Flemming Era was a Major Success that lasted for 10 Years. Year 11 where it was all downhill from there with changing Time Slots and more leading the First Incarnation of Jeopardy to end in 1975.

*Jeopardy Gameplay: Daytime Version 2*
Guild Owner: Jeopardy Daytime returned with a Second Incarnation in 1978 with Art Flemming returning as the Host. Version 2a in a Fandom Sense would be the same as the Nighttime Version & the 1964 to 1975 Daytime Edition.
Version 2b, however, had slight adjustments. Standard Jeopardy remained the same but after the round was over, the 3rd Place Player was eliminated from gameplay. Double Jeopardy was played the 2 remaining players, after that, the 2nd place player was eliminated from gameplay. The Champion player would advance to the Bonus Lightning Round akin to Bingo.
This Rule Change wasn't the only downpour of the second daytime Version where NBC placed it in competition of CBS's The Price is Right. 3 Months later, they moved it again, only to face as a competitor with ABC's $25,000 Pyramid. This didn't work either & Jeopardy Daytime finished airing 6 months later in 1979.

*Jeopardy: Nighttime Version*
Guild Owner: 4 Years later in 1983, Merv Griffin launched a new Television Game in Syndication called Wheel of Fortune which skyrocketed to success enough to bring Jeopardy back. So a year later in 1984, Jeopardy's Nighttime Edition was launched with Alex Trebek as the Host & Johnny Gilbert as the Announcer. 37 Years Later & Jeopardy's Nighttime Edition is still around today with Clue Values increasing, along with remodeling and redesigning sets. But no matter how you cut it, its still the same Television Game as it was since 1984.

*Jeopardy: Tournament Specials*
Guild Owner: Sometimes, Jeopardy did Tournaments such as the Tournament of Champions, College Tournament, Teachers Tournament, Kids Tournament & Teen Tournament.
Along with one Special Tournament...
The IBM Challenge Tournament, a Tournament which proved that a Computer can beat two of the Best Jeopardy Champions, Brad Rutter & Ken Jennings.

Drenden whispered What was the scoring like for the Daytime Jeopardy Versions?

*Jeopardy: Daytime Version Scoring*
Guild Owner: The Daytime Version of Jeopardy has 3 Versions if you Count the Trebek Era Pilot in 1983. However, I can't find an Episode of the Daytime Eras because as Supermarket Sweep did during its Black & White Version, the Master Tapes that Jeopardy Daytime had were Wiped and Reused for other shows & as I mentioned before back in the day, these Master Tapes were really expensive as they can be found in Museums or Collectors' Markets.
So I will have to guess from here.

*Jeopardy: Children's Version*
Guild Owner: Jeopardy also had more versions from its popularity made public. One day, someone came with an idea, to make a Jeopardy Game for Children and the end result was Jep, Jeopardy for Children in 1998, the host of that Version was Bob Bergen.

Drenden whispered What was the Differences between Jeopardy's Nighttime Version and Jep, Jeopardy for Children?

*Jeopardy: Children's Version*
Guild Owner: The Core Gameplay remains except for a few changes and refinements.
1. The player are sitting in seats buckled up in front of their podiums instead of standing at their podiums.
2. Jep has 5 Categories with 4 Clues each
3. Players don't pick out the Clue Value from a Grid but select a Clue Value from a Spinner which randomized the clue value. The way I plan to do that in an Fandom sense is an RNG from 1 to 5.
4. The questions are made much easier.
5. Each Podium has 3 Red Lights known as Jeopardy Lights as if losing a score wasn't bad enough as they light up when a player answers incorrectly. The First one lights up the Vat above the player's head. The Second one has something dumped on the player's head such as water or confetti, just to name a few. The Third Light eliminates a player from Gameplay for a Single Clue which means a player is put "Behind the Wall" as in Lose a Turn.
For a fandom sense as a Safeguard, I could have the last player who has 2 Jeopardy lights while the other 2 players lost their turns for one clue, would just lose the score if answered incorrectly.
6. The Rounds are renamed "Jep Round", "Hyper Jep Round" & "Super Jep" Round
7. The Super Jep round plays the same as the Final Jeopardy Round but with minor changes. Should a player finishes "In the Red", that player's score is adjusted back to the Plus Side so that player can take part in the Super Jep Round.
8. Jep Prizes & Jep Squads are added. Jep Prizes are should the player answer correctly, that player gets a prize, regardless of the outcome. While Jep Squad is like a Clue Crew Question.
9. When the Game ends, the players get to pick their prizes from a Prize Pool which have one of two different Prizes to choose from.
Jep lasted for 2 Seasons on Game Show Network before ending in 2000. The Contents of the Vets for each player look Nickelodeon Styled.

Guild Owner: To me, this Children's Version of Jeopardy deserves another chance to shine as a Fandom OOC Game as over 23 Years Later, it shows Promise & I was able to count 6 Episodes of Jep. The Points would also be translated into Dollar Format in a fandom sense. But we're not done yet here. As there's another Version of Jeopardy...

*Rock & Roll Jeopardy*
Guild Owner: In 1998, around Jep's Time. VH1 did their own version of Jeopardy called Rock & Roll Jeopardy with Jeff Probst as the Host, who would go on to Host Survivor. Rock & Roll Jeopardy was played the same way as Jeopardy. With a few Differences...
1. No Players are crowned Champion
2. The Dollar Scoring would not appear until the 3rd and Final Season
3. The Main theme for Rock & Roll Jeopardy along with its Think Music Cue would be recycled for the Teen Tournament and College Tournaments.
Rock and Roll Jeopardy lasted until 2000.

Eldin whispered Sounds like fun. What Scoring would the Narrator use if we give the OOC Game a shot? Daytime or Nighttime?
