 Wow, eighteen years, almost two decades of snagging, where has the time go? Our baby is all grown up, an adult ready to take on the world. I think I'm going to cry. You know, such a momentous occasion calls for a celebration! So why don't I stop rambling and skip the usual speech about how we're the best role-play this site, nay, the entire internet has ever seen and get right to the festivities! Here we go and happy birthday, Team Snagem! ----- In celebration of the eighteenth anniversary of Team Snagem we are going to have eighteen days of events of various scale, some bigger than the others but each day different (though many will go on for days, just revealed on different days). These events will range from just-for-fun things to contests and drawings for actual prizes! Which brings us to the very first day of events, today! [Day 1]-A Memorable Snagstakes- Enter our 'Snagstake' (sweepstake, get it?) to win a $10 Steam/Amazon/eShop/etc. gift code! Entering is simple, just post here detailing a fond memory you have during your time as part of Team Snagem. Okay, old fart coming in. And have a couple in mind, out of way too many, though not sure how one counts, so extra credit!
So, first one that came to mind was after I had taken a bit of unplanned hiatus with Snagem, with WoW and meeting my college friends and now current husband. After WoW died off for us at the time, and then SW:TOR also came and we stopped playing that, I got a couple of my friends to play MonHun... I want to say it was Tri, instead of 3 Ultimate, and we went to online stuff. I do believe I played it a little with the others before the break, I think, but I wound up going into the old room haunt for the game, because I knew it should have been empty. So, helped out, I want to say my friend Malinda with a quest, and then we came back from a quest, and Blizz had gotten a wild hair up his a** and poked his head in in the mean time. Saw him in there, laughed and kinda went holy s**t, and then finally jumped back onto Skype(yes, this was Skype era) and I think we all played together more that night. Ain't looked back since on that.
And then we'll divert to the RP. There's been a bunch of moments from there. The whole ye olde elemental arc, yes we were young stupid whippersnappers, and yes, I WHOLY include my own preteen a** in there also, but it was a hell of a thing. There's the one RP where we had Manaphy Heart Swap shenanigans, the World War Arc was a hell of a moment in time, too. Though, I want to say a classic moment would be the preboot death of Darts. That s**t went on for a week, and there was chaos on the final day. It was good. And of course that b*****d decided to come back from the dead. b*****d ain't ever gonna die for good.
Here's to creating many more memories, with my favorite group of people online.

Hi! Still kind of a baby here, so. Everything that has happened I remember. So, here goes!
Fondest memory : Was joining. Back when I joined, I was in a very dark place. In my personal relationship, we were on a bumpy road. Which also affected my relationship with my family. I was honestly so consumed in bad thoughts. So when I joined, it was very euphoric. My OC 'Ulla' was made to be my opposite. Where she is a literal ray of sunshine. And she was able to really shine here. It gave me comfort to see how people loved Ulla as much as I did. Riolu already being affected by the Shadow Virus in the beginning was suppose to be me. I was broken, I was numb, I was hurt, and I was emotionless. So to make Ulla have this goal, help every Pokemon who has the Shadow Virus. Was very real to me to fight my own demons as well.
I'd also like to add. Everyone interacting with Ulla, made me feel like I have a second family here. It made me connect again. Depression doesn't just go away, doesn't lift for most people. But there's a capacity to feel again. There's a capacity to experience joy. And I felt that here. The cure for so many things for me is connection. And we may think no one wants to connect with me. But we just need to find the right people.
So to here's to making more smiles smile with my second family. Thank you to everyone who interacted with 'Ulla'.

Within the rp, i think one of my favorite moments was the satisfaction of completing my first master mission and being able to make veronica a hybrid. It was a big task for me but one of the most fun. Still one of my bigger rp achievements xD
I think one of the most interesting moments i remember was finding out sub was gay. I know, really strange, but hear me out... at that young age i was, i was still curious and naive about the world, sub was one of the few people that i had seen as a leader to also treat me with respect. It was nice. But before then i had actually never met someone who said that they were gay. It seems odd now that just a few years ago it was such a closed subject when it feels more common now. I struggled with knowing what i was back then. And then with some of the other members and admins situation, i felt like i could be myself here.
Also whenever i can feel like a troll and chaotic in rp without making the team lose has always been fun, sorry not sorry.

It's weird because I haven't been around long despite sort of having been there at the beginning! (About all I'm good at is telling you that Snagem is 5 days older than you thought it was.)
But I've certainly enjoyed the character I've built so far, and Ceiling Blizz being a thing that stuck around on the server even after the crazy Guzzlord ARG is truly a work of art at times. I enjoy the challenge of writing and building a character, and in some ways it's fitting that mine is lost in a lost world, quite far from home in time and space.

I can't really speak to any one memory as there have been way too many good ones. So, I'll speak instead to my favorite moments.
Out of character, my favorite moments are when Sub and I brainstorm. I'm pretty crappy at coming up with ideas on my own, as my tiny stint as admin can testify, but somehow whenever Sub and I come together to plan, amazing ideas pop up as if unbidden, and I love every minute of it.
In character, I kind of just dig the drama between Terashi and Keiko. From the early days of them trying to figure out their feelings for each other, breaking up after Keiko became a hybrid only for them to get back together after about a week irl (iirc) to the decision to adopt Ulla - especially after Ulla opened up and referred to them as Papa and Mama. I enjoy having them interact with others, and I'd like for them to be able to make more friends with other people's characters, But now that Keiko's given up on trying to be a wallflower and is accepting herself as a person and as a hybrid, they work much better together as a couple.
