[Outside Player's Home] *Wild & Crazy Kids: Structure & Gameplay* Sounds like a simple game. Fitz said to the viewers
Roxanne, we can ask the narrator about this game.
Narrator: Wild & Crazy Kids is pretty much as simple as you can get... Gather people around, put them into teams by giving them matching color T-Shirts then have them compete in various messy and really funny games akin to the Psychical Challenges & Fire Drills of Double Dare and Make the Grade.
These Stunt Challenges are spun off of outdoor activities that children love to do & sometimes against authority such as taking over a public location to host a series of Challenges, Most Points wins, just to name an example.
Cannonballs are fun poolside but people get upset when doing so as they get soaking wet. Instead, a contest where people swan dive into a pool and see who gets the most people soaked.
Another instance is a nice game of baseball with a twist even though unlike real life where you get into trouble for breaking windows while being your own batting practice. Well, on Wild & Crazy Kids, breaking windows with a baseball is the point to see who can score the most Home Runs or Grand Slam Window Frames.
A nice trip to the shopping centers sounds dandy, but so many rules can bring you down. Well, on Wild & Crazy Kids, rules are meant to be broken because by taking over a Shopping Center to host a Chain Reaction of Events causing people to be loud, messy and wild in a Shopping Mall as you want.
Each Taping of these Shows feature 3 of these events & each event lead by one of the three hosts.
Roxanne, that sounds like loads of fun! Sebastian said to his sister

[Outside Player's Home] *Wild & Crazy Kids: Hosts & Rewards* If hope they film one in our neighborhood. Fitz said to the viewers
Roxanne, who were the original hosts?
Narrator: Annette Chavez, Jessica Gaynes, Omar Gooding & Don Jeffcoat were the residing hosts of that show. While Wild & Crazy Kids is up there with the Nick GAS Reruns. No Cash & Prizes were awarded in each show because these Stunt Challenges were really fun to participate in as they were prizes in their own right such as getting to do something you don't get to do everyday... Trampoline Slam Dunking, Jousting on Shark Pool Floats, Cleaning Monster Truck Wheels the fastest, even making household chores fun in a Nickelodeon Style for the 1990s.
Roxanne, sounds like while most of them were standalone, others had themes as they were filmed on location too... Fire Stations, Police Stations, Beaches, Snowy, Ranches, and even at the Medieval Times Theater Park, just to name a few. Which was still new at the time of Wild & Crazy Kids' taping. They even had guest star episodes such as Salute Your Shorts, Double Dare, but I forget. Such as tossing ball pit balls to knock down a person wearing a popcorn hat in a movie theater which may seem funny at first glance, almost feels like an accident waiting to happen. Sebastian said to his sister
Thankfully, no one was hurt during the taping. Fitz said to the viewers
Other Guests included the GAW or Great American Workout which was held in 1991 at the White House's Rose Garden to promote exercise & Youth Fitness with The Terminator himself as US President George W. Bush's Chairman of Psychical Fitness. Sebastian added
So Wild & Crazy Kids started production in 1989 with a Test Pilot. The Original Show took place in the West Coast & took full advantage of children who did not attend summer school. Sounds like so many people got involved in these games & it must have been challenging to tape. Fitz said to the viewers

[Outside Player's Home] *Wild & Crazy Kids: About the Hosts* There's more to it I'm sure. Fitz said to the viewers
Narrator: Annette Chavez, Jessica Gaynes, Omar Gooding & Don Jeffcoat, were young actors back then as residing hosts. When you watch that show, they play as their own characters and double as hosts. Omar Gooding came from a Show Business Family. Besides running these games, Omar appears to play as some sort of mad trickster building these crazy devices for these games and using magic to prank the other hosts. Gooding's Mother was on set keeping an eye on things which looked like a Production Mother in a way.
Don Jeffcoat had a lot of work under his belt already since he appeared in Wonder Years, Ghoulies 2, Night of the Demons, Punky Brewster & Who's the Boss. On Wild & Crazy Kids, he was the straight person being the victim who gets pied or slimed often.
Annette Chavez, being a Children's Pageant competitor & commercial actress. This was a good fit for her who would proceed to being a Regular on General Hospital on ABC despite being short sighted when being cast at the age of 17. Meaning after Season 1 of Wild & Crazy Kids, she would end up going to College, causing her to age out after 1990 & Jessica Gaynes would take over by Season 2.
Jessica Gaynes, who was a theater performer for the time & she had her challenges for the time. Wild & Crazy Kids was originally a Special Show in 1990, then aired on the Fourth of July 1990. The Show did well enough to stand the test of time well for 3 Seasons & 65 Episodes overall.
Roxanne, that's amazing. Sebastian said to his sister
*Wild & Crazy Kids: Classic Era Reception* Like Double Dare, it too had a Road Show in 1992 where the hosts hosted the Tours at Theme Parks & Shopping Centers. It had 8 Years of Reruns afterwards ending in 2000. That's longer than Pinwheel's Rerun time. Around the 2000s during President Bush's son time in the White House, Wild & Crazy Kids was fun to watch in its Classic State and what followed up was the 2002 Reboot. Fitz said to the viewers

[Outside Player's Home] *Wild & Crazy Kids: 2002 Version* Sounds like there's more. Fitz said to the viewers
Narrator: The Reboot Version of Wild & Crazy Kids arrived on July 2002. This Updated version did have some refinements where players play MORE crazy games and parents get all messy too. The 2002 Version was hosted by Mati Moralejo, Dave Aizer & Viviane Collins, who also hosted Nick GAS. Some Guest Hosts are present but to promote a Music Album, Movie or TV Series such as SPY Kids, Brothers Garcia & even the late Aaron Carter but with that Extreme Sports Tone from the Early 2000s.
The Original Wild & Crazy Kids had players hit others with a Whipped Cream Pie while in the 2002 Version, you would get to dump flour from a helicopter. The most cosmetic change was the new theme song. However, Wild & Crazy Kids 2002 lasted for 1 Season with the last episode ending in May 2003. No VHS or DVD Episodes of either show exist to this day and episodes tend to come and go on video sites leaving the Series Dormant & in Suspended Animation. Its a pretty much as simple as it gets & has a high nostalgic factor which made it cheap to produce. With Double Dare, Legends of the Hidden Temple and Rugrats back, you may think its 3rd return would be good but at the end of the day, it would be complicated. I hope one day Paramount Plus would add this Dormant show along with Make the Grade, Finders Keepers and Think Fast.
Other than that, Woody Frasier would continue to work on other shows such as What Would You Do which I'll talk about later when we get to the 1991 Nickelodeon Games.
Overall, Wild & Crazy Kids Classic & 2002 Versions have merit for a great game filmed on location with zany stunts as its easy to imagine yourself doing outstanding stunts and extreme sports. That Extreme Sports Dream would return in GUTS when we get to the 1992 Nickelodeon Games. Even though it was cheap, light in tone, humorous & fun, it was a Series of Events for all seasons of a show and a Reward for one's self satisfaction to something incredible when it comes to 1990s Nickelodeon as it does the job well putting a lot of effort into it but with a more simple approach to make household chores fun, exercising more enjoyable & entertaining at the same time.
To see it return one day would be joy to watch just like its 1990 to 1992 & 2002 to 2003.
Roxanne, that sounds like a great game & tons of fun to do all those stunt challenges Sebastian said to his sister
