The big blue neon sign hanging above the entrance never made much sense.

"niBniSehT"

Most Kats thought it was some foreign language, or that the letters were broken, or they just didn't care enough to figure it out. The ones that did realize what it said thought it was just a clever title for a secret adult goods boutique that had set up residence at one point in time and then gone out of business. For those who didn’t get it, simply looking into a reflection in a street puddle would have easily produced an answer to the burning question no-one was asking. What did it say?

"TheSinBin"

Nobody really knew what it had once been or now was. Some said a corner market. Others a famous bakery. Some snickered at either suggestion knowing full well it had absolutely been some freaky kinky shop for weirdos, probably still was. Most locals didn't care about it, or really even notice it anymore.
Anyone not from Hemlock? Well, they weren't there to check out abandoned-looking shops in the club district. They were there to party at the hot joints.
Whatever it was, no one seemed to notice any Kats going in or out.
Ever.

Lurking deep beneath the bland exterior was another world completely. Insulated well enough that the pulse of the beat below remained undetectable to ears passing on the streets above. Thankfully, being in a nightclub district, any stray vibration was attributed to one of many establishments that crowded in around it on all sides.

The windows were covered over with old newspapers, keeping prying eyes from deciphering what lay beyond. Strangely enough any time a vandal broke a window, or graffiti marred the front entrance, it was good as new by the next night. The only thing that did change was the articles. Every week new articles went up and every week the code for entry was hidden in one of them, but only the damned knew which one. If you couldn't figure it out, or didn't know someone who knew, you were screwed.

The code, once popped into the pad on the door, was your only ticket in. Once the door shut behind a patron it locked again unless they needed to leave.

Inside was unimpressive. The space had definitely been a corner market at one time. Small and mostly filled with old magazines, booze, and cigarettes. So dimly lit that mortals would have struggled to make out the interior. To vampiric eyes, the change from street lights to the dim lighting of the entryway was hardly a cause for concern. If they noticed at all.

A large, intimidating, baddie male sat at the inoperable register on the right reading a magazine. He regarded every entrant for about two seconds before jerking his head to say 'Get going'. Then it was back to ignoring everyone and chewing on a toothpick as he flipped through the articles.

Stairs had been built into the floor in the middle of the room between two opposing aisle shelves and led to a black hallway, a luminous blue light glowing below. Beckoning like a siren song.

Once descended the eyes were fully assaulted by the clinical blue neon hue overhead which pulsed ominously, brighter and dimmer, almost at random.
Muffled music grew louder the closer one got to the door at the end of the hallway.

As it was approached, a peephole slid to the side and shut rapidly again before the door suddenly swung inward, opening onto a massive dance floor.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

The floor itself was black and inlaid with what looked like small, star-like dots that glowed and shimmered in time with the beat of the music. The dance floor ended at a raised stage that had been built comfortably large, and well equipped enough, for a variety of performances.
The house played a selection of tracks suited to the underbelly of Hemlock, orchestrated by a DJ who utilized the stage when the club wasn't hosting live bands and musicians.

Music poured into every inch of the place.
Dark, primal, hungry.
It didn't matter where you were in The Sin Bin. You could always hear the music.

To the immediate right of the entrance a large opening stood, leading to the bar. On the right the bar itself snaked the entire length from the entrance to the far wall, offering plenty of seating.
The blue neon glow of the glass shelves lining the wall behind the bartop glittered and sparkled with a wide variety of libations. Not to mention what was ready and waiting on tap. If you wanted a good, stiff, vitae-filled drink The Sin Bin was eager to provide.
On the wall opposite the bar were the restrooms and to the right of those the entrance to the backrooms where the band members kept their gear and did.. whatever it was they did.

Heading back out to the dance floor one could see rows of plush black leather booths set into the walls and huddled around glass-topped tables illuminated in a soft, blue neon glow. Every booth was separated, one from the other, by thick black walls, all of which had been painted in a different graffiti style by some of Hemlock's most notorious and skilled graffiti artists. The glow from the tables lent additional vibrancy to the colorful designs and images. And while the walls offered some semblance of privacy between booths, the dance floor was easily visible from anywhere you sat.

Up above, the VIP party rooms curved the entire way around the dance floor. The reservation list was usually long but the rooms themselves were worth the pain of trying. Retrofitted to the teeth with anything and everything a Kat looking for a good night out with friends, co-workers, or complete strangers could want.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Every room had a direct line to VIP servers who were constantly moving from room to room delivering bottles of booze, edible delights, or whatever the VIP guests requested. Some rooms also boasted one-way glass so the VIP guests could see the action below but prying eyes trained on the rooms above were kept in the dark.
For others, the glass wasn't so one way.

Elysium was the room reserved for special events, meetings, or private parties that required a lot more space than the VIP rooms could offer.
These were usually reserved for older vamps with a lot of money to throw at the club, or high-ranking clan members who wanted to slum it in a clanless bar with other clan members. A not uncommon occurrence.
It was also a hot spot for some of the most epic afterparties. The room boasted its own stage, tons of seating, and a private bar with dedicated bartenders.

The only place in the club where one could get away for a breather was the patio area. Not a true patio since the entire club was underground, but a space one could escape to for a moment if they needed to sober up or get their wits about them or maybe even chat with a hot stranger away from the busy energy of the club.
There were small seats, complete with tables, dotted here and there around the area. Each table contained a small fire in the middle for ambiance more-so than warmth.
No patrons ever complained about the cold. If they did, well, they were more likely a snack than a patron. However, bringing mortals in was a general grounds for banning, there were very few exceptions ever given and they had to come from the owner directly. Who that was only staff knew, and they weren't talking. The owner of The Sin Bin tended to keep a low profile.
Most Kats took to the patio area to smoke, though no-one was going to get their paw slapped if caught smoking inside.

Through the notorious 'back room' by the bar, which is locked and only accessible to staff and the band/crew, is a set of stairs built into the wall that leads up above ground and connects to an apartment complex next to The Sin Bins' entrance.
The apartments were bought out by management and fully renovated to give the band, crew, and staff, as well as any other clanless who need a place to stay, a stable place to live. It is accessible from street level via a special keycode similar to the entrance to the club, since most won't have access to the back rooms.
Any clanless vampire, or any vampire who needs somewhere safe to crash or live, can apply so long as they clear it with Management first.

House Rules:

1. This is a vampiric nightclub.
Don’t bring your juice bags here unless you clear it with the owner first, cool?

2. No fighting. See the sign? The club's a designated Elysium establishment.
The Sin Bin is a primarily Clanless club, yet all Sects are allowed to mingle here. But the minute there’s trouble it’s your a**.
Better check the fine print on the consequences.

3. The owner probably doesn’t want to talk to you.
Staff will not tell you who the owner is. Stop asking them. If you have a grievance, you know where to stick it.
If you have a legitimate problem, let the staff know.

4. The waiting list for the VIP rooms can get long so make sure to put in your request far in advance.
Last minute probably ain’t happening.

5. Don’t harass the bands. Unless they like that kind of thing.

6. If you get cut off, you get cut off. We ain’t trying to cramp your style we just don’t need problems.
So don’t be a problem.

7. The Elysium room is open for reservation for large events and private shows.
That being said, Elysium joint, if the Prince wants to use it for some clan to-do your a** is out.
Even if it’s last minute. Sorry, bro.

8. If your band wants to play at the club talk to the management, or the DJ, and they’ll hook you up. If you want to get paid for performing or wants to rent an apartment, talk to Odette.

9. Chill out. Have fun. Clan drama and bullshit gets left at the curb.

The lights of the club mixed in a dazzling array, pulsing, morphing, shifting to the beat that EvRi was currently pumping into the club like blood through the veins of a beast. You could feel the vibration through the floor, coursing up through limb, seeping under the skin, enveloping every sense in pure melodic bliss. Dark, hungry, primal. The DJ was on his s**t tonight. The air itself felt alive. Filled with a sense of liberation, where vampires could let loose and drop the veneer they spent every night coating themselves in among the throng of Kine and clan alike. But here. Here they could shed that veneer like a snake shedding old skin.

Pretty Boy had seen it all a million times over the decades. Friends to enemies. Strangers to lovers. Enemies to mates... then back to enemies. Old friends finding each other. Lovers splitting up for good. Reunions. Tragedies. Hardships. Triumphs. Second Chances. On and on. He never grew tired of the club and the fresh stories that crawled from its maw. All playing out within these walls like the pages of some gritty smut novel. A gritty smut novel with a killer soundtrack.

The vibrant male leaned back in his booth, his claws wrapped around the rim of his glass as they lightly drummed against it to the beat of the current song, the corner of his mouth curled up in a smirk. Seeing it open had been worth the pain of getting here. The Sin Bin was alive again.

Pretty Boy had spent the majority of the evening pulling last-minute details together and making sure everyone had what they needed. He'd briefed the staff, made sure they had enough booze, and vitae, in the reserves, checked that the code was posted properly (and that it worked on the door), and made sure no one could sneak into the back room.

The last thing they wanted was some drunk-a** finding the stairs leading to the apartment complex that housed several staff members and The Graverobbers actual members and crew, those who lived on the premises anyway. Either way. No one liked to go to bed only to realize they had an uninvited guest. He couldn't say it hadn't happened. But he could say it wasn't pretty when it did.

His eyes shifted to the crowd mixing, drinking, socializing, dancing, losing themselves as they slipped free of whatever lay beyond the doors of the club. He envied that feeling. He missed it. He was so up in his head lately that he knew he'd been distant, it was time to change that. He couldn't change what happened but he had to respect the choice, even if he hated it, and live his unlife.

As much as he wished things had gone down differently. He would have preferred to be sharing this moment, a fresh start, but that wasn't in the cards. Life was a b***h sometimes. What could you do? The dismissive attitude didn't match how he really felt but he had to swallow the bitter pill of reality and carry on. Not that his feelings had changed, they probably never would, which sucked worse.

Those vivid mismatched eyes continued to scan the area before falling to his drink, watching the ice in the glass glitter like diamonds. The colored lights shifted their hue as he observed them. He could keep being a sad sack but he should have been celebrating instead, ******** it. He needed to get out of this slump. He wasn't sure where everyone was, probably either busy, drunk, or partying. They'd show up eventually. Sometimes his favorite thing was to just sit in solitude and absorb the energy of the club but he also really enjoyed it when everyone was around, piled into the booth like a ******** clown car.

He waved down one of the hosts carrying a big plate of jello shots and slid her a tip. Leaning across the table to take the entire tray he mouthed a 'Thank you' punctuated by a big wolf grin. She laughed and gave him a wink before heading back to the bar to refill. Was he going to do all of them? Maybe. Maybe not. Either way, he was sure as s**t going to give it a try. Maybe he'd loosen up after a few shots. He pressed the first one to his lips, his pierced tongue slicing the rim to free the contents, leaving the cup clean as a whistle. He smirked and set the empty on the table, leaning back again and taking a drink from his glass.

Nah, he needed to enjoy this moment. He'd worked his a** off for way too long trying to get here. Who knew what the future held? For now, the present was what mattered, so he would keep his focus where it mattered. On the now.

Finally the night had come, the Sun Bin was open for business. It was about ******** time. The club would probably fill up fast once more and more people began to show up. They might end up with standing room only. Lucky for him people didn’t come back stage so if he wanted to get away from the crowd he could always go back there.

He popped out from behind the curtain and walked down the stairs on the side of the stage. A few long legged strides and he crossed the room to the bar. “Whiskey leave the bottle.” His voice was deep and gravely, more than likely because he smoked. Soon he had a glass and a bottle, he poured himself a cup and took a long drink.

The Roadie’a thoughts drifted back a few days to what had happened between him and MJ. He hadn’t talked to her since then and he felt a little bad about it. It was all so complicated. If she showed up tonight though he was going to talk to her. She deserved as much.

He wanted to say that it had been unprofessional. That he was drunk. And once he woke again after getting black out drunk it was still all he could think about. He didn’t want to have to hurt her in any way. That was not his intentions. But what were they then? He knew, he was just afraid to admit it.

In the meantime he’d enjoy the music even if it wasn’t quite what he normally listened to, drink some booze and oogle and hot ladies that walked on by. Not that they could see him do it what with his sunglasses on.

The Club was open, and X was absolutely in his element. The colorful black and white and rainbow Faekat was more than ready to party and celebrate. Not only was it a place to let ones hair down, and remove the Masquerade, but it was a safe haven for the Clanless. Nevermind that it was equally safe for those unlucky enough to be dubbed Clanned, but X would always see the place as the premier hot spot for those without such ties.

The pulse of the music shuddered through him as he wove between patrons, pausing now and then to share a shot, or spend a few minutes conversing with a stranger. He wasn't shy, after all, and the best way to admire the place in all its glory was to party and mingle. Here, in the vibrant lights and contrasting darkness, the night's troubles could melt away with the deep bass of the music, and the vampires that moved about could be anything they dreamed. Titles could be shed, angles could be forgotten, and they could call come together and dance, drink, and party. The club wasn't at full capacity yet -- but he was certain it would fill up with time.

By the time he caught sight of a few familiar faces, X was feeling good, and enjoying a small buzz. He hadn't caught sight of Liri yet, and assumed Lay was busy at the bar -- but perhaps he'd call on both before the night was over. Until then, there were others to socialize with and congratulate. Though there had been some bumps in the road, between bandmates leaving, and Liri's recent scare with a few super-fans, X was glad to see the place in all its colorful glory.

Catching sight of a familiar face, X took his drink over to say hello to a certain pretty face. He noticed the shots sitting before him, and gave a fanged grin. "Starting the night off right, I see," he mused with his usual good humor. There was no judgment -- he had plans to enjoy himself fully... not that anyone would be surprised. X wasn't afraid to party hard, to get more than a little wasted, and embrace the hedonism he so enjoyed. What better way to keep the demons at bay than to simply chase the next high?

"The place looks good! And with music like this, who needs live shows?" He mused teasingly, taking a drink of the colorful concoction in his hand. Crafting music was one thing, and live shows were his unlife's passion... but the sort of magic that EvRi made was something else entirely.

Standing on the threshold, Liri watched the crowd as it teemed with unlife. The music scintillated through him like the pulse, thrumming through his high heeled all the way up his spine. He drank it in for a moment, letting the music take over his thoughts, letting it consume him as it did during a show or when he was writing another of the Graverobbers's hit songs. Not that he wrote all of them. He just loved the music. Even karaoke was fun. Though it wasn't as fun as singing and playing with the band. He took a deep breath, letting it wash over him, then finally stepped forward into the lights.

They haloed him for a moment there, his white pelt showing off the colors dramatically, before he moved through the crowd, and they moved with him. Liri couldn't see it himself, or he would've been distracted. A lot of that white was showing tonight, since he was dressed for the club. The boots were short, the skirt was short, showing off his long legs. Well, he wanted to look good for the club's re-opening.

He was proud of PB, proud of the way the crowd had already gathered. When the word got out that the Sin Bin had re-opened, fans and kindred had flocked to it. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a flash of rainbow, and knew where he needed to go. With a nod for 13 as he walked by the bar, he made a beeline for the booth that his bandmates were occupying. "Hey, babes. The club is looking fierce, PB." So was PB, for that matter.

X... well, X always dominated his thoughts. Liri had put his hair up in a ponytail tonight to hide the patch where his hair was missing. Although X had made him feel better about it, he was still a little anxious, a little uneasy. Though from the looks of it, the security was tight. Consciously relaxing his shoulders, he tucked himself under X's arm, and smiled at PB. "Looks like it's gonna be a great success." He hadn't quite caught the thread of the conversation they were having.

There was no way in hell that MJ was missing re-opening night of the Sin Bin. She knew how hard Pretty Boy had worked on getting things in order and there was no place she'd rather be than supporting her bandmate. Well, maybe once place... She shook her head slightly, her wild hair falling over her heavily lidded eyes. Per usual, the drummer was good and properly stoned out of her gourd. The music thumped heavily in her chest and it was as if her heart was beating along to it and she couldn't help but move her body to the beat as she walked through the club.

EvRi was at his best tonight. She'd have to catch him later to congratulate him on playing a killer opening set for the club.

Stopping every once in a while to chat with a fan of the Graverobbers, MJ eventually made her way to the booth that housed the rest of the band as they were pretty ******** hard to miss -- but leave it to her to be the last to arrive, per usual. At least she did so in style, wearing leather booty shorts, thigh-high incredibly high-heeled boots and a neon pink crop top with black fishnets underneath. Her neck adorned by a spiked collar and her bright rainbow coloured hair held in loops by bones (no one but MJ knowing where the bones came from, as she always told a different made up story to anyone that asked).

"JELL-O SHOOOOOOTTTTSSSSSSSSSSS!!," the drummer yelled loudly as she approached the guys and saw the plate on the table. Not even bothering to ask first, she grabbed a Jell-o shot and using her pierced tongue to swipe around the edges she took back the shot like a pro with a giant grin. Plopping down in the booth next to PB and opposite X and Liri with the grace of a newborn gazelle, she made eye contact with a waitress who immediately beelined it over to the booth to take MJ's order. She watched with mismatched eyes as she scurried back to the bar and that's when she caught sight of 13. And by 'caught sight'? She definitely was staring. And probably pretty obviously, at that. She wasn't sure if he had noticed her yet because of his sunglasses, however.

He gave Liri a nod of acknowledgment but did not move from the bar. Pouring himself a second drink and downing it in one. Looked like the band was all here. The music pounded in his chest and he could feel it at his very essence. It wasn’t what he normally listened to but EvRi was doing a banger of a job keeping it lively at the very least.

It was hard not to notice when she walked in the club. The leather Booty shorts and thigh high heels that made her legs look longer. He couldn’t help watching her as she crossed the room to the booth where the other band members were seated. Even if he hasn’t seen her he would have heard her even over the music as she screamed about Jell-O shots.

13 turned slightly towards the booth and caught her staring in his direction. Lifting the glass of whiskey in his and tipping it in her direction. Maybe they’d talk later. The night was still young so who knew what could happen. He’d get as sloshed as he wanted and stumble upstairs to his apartment at the end of the night probably. Living above the club had its advantages.

The roadie had been minding his own business when he was approached by a gaggle of Meankis who surrounded him and locked him in at the bar. ******** great. They rapid fires off questions left and right, trying to flirt with him the best the could. Clearly they had already had quite a bit to drink. Now he had to figure out an escape.

PB spotted 13 pretty quickly and smirked. Man was a ******** beast. One of the hardest workers he'd ever met and between him and Chance they pretty much kept the band/performances/club from catching fire at any given moment. He waved over a host and asked her to extend an invite to the Roadie in case he wanted to join the band at the booth. He never knew if the crew wanted to chill with them or do their own thing but he hated the idea that anyone thought they couldn't. There wasn't any ******** elitism fostered in the club, it was why he didn't advertise that he owned it.

He smirked when X plopped down next to him and gave the bassist a grin, spreading his arms across the back of the booth and leaning back in a stretch to pop his back. The glow of the lights caught and accentuated the males lithe torso, shadowing his androgynous features in an attractive fashion as he rolled his face towards X, his bangs shading one eye. "There's plenty here if you want to indulge." He chuckled, that smoky voice surprisingly carried well despite the music. "We really ******** pulled it off. And yeah, EvRi is killing it tonight. That being said... nothing beats a live band." His smirk deepened a bit. "You find yourself any trouble yet?" PB's mismatched eyes glinted mischievously. He hadn't even moved from the booth yet but the night was very young, maybe he'd find his own trouble later.

Suddenly Liri appeared, slipping in beside X. PB lifted his chin in greeting and gave the singer a wink. "Crowds picking up already. I hate to say I'm surprised it's this busy so early but that's better for us. Everyone probably needed to let loose. s**t's been stressful lately. I'm glad so many came back." He was genuinely relieved. He had worried a little, though he'd never admit it, that with The Sin Bin closed they would be forgotten or people would find somewhere new to haunt. That didn't appear to be the case. A lot of old and new faces were mixed across the expanse of the club.

When MJ showed up Pretty Boy cocked a brow, her voice dominating the music as she excitedly partook of the Jello Shots. He laughed and picked up another, raising it in a salute. "******** yes jello shots. Only the finest for opening night." His jewelry swayed as he deftly cleaned out another shot and stacked it inside the first empty. PB licked his lips, his eyes slipping up to the ceiling as he closed them and let the beat of the music wash over his body. This is what he needed. As his head rolled forward he noticed MJ spaced out towards 13 as he was suddenly accosted by a gaggle of Meanki's and the smirk returned. "MJ, you should go save 13. Looks like he's drowning." He picked up shot number three and cleaned it out. He needed something stronger, his glass was almost empty by this point. While he wanted to slow down he had a deep, burning need to let loose. He just needed to ease this weight and kill this stress.

Lay was busy behind the bar with the influx of patrons looking for their first drink. Most of them, he could feel eyes of others with more interest in him but dismissed them for the moment. He prepped drinks and sent them out with hosts and other bar staff while taking care of those sticking to the bar as well. Within the first few minutes he had to run off for a moment to fix his hair. It normally cascaded to the floor freely though he needed to keep it out for the way for work so tonight he sported a high ponytail so it was out of the way. After securing it better, fussing with his bangs and tucking his shorter hair behind an ear.

It was only a moment away but the other staff at the bar couldn't keep up but he sailed through in moments. Everyone served their first and a few second requests. He was grateful for the well stocked, well...everything. He had everything and more to make or create anything asked of him. Maybe he'd see if he could make some house drinks. Could even have one named after each band member. He giggled to himself over the imagined orders as he was wiping down glasses to set back into the prep station for the next use.

He started to check in with those sitting at the bar, small chats flirty and not while also watching the crowd moving, writhing, dancing, chatting all around from his peripherals. Spotting the colorful group and smiled. He gave the patron he was chatting with a free shot and and wink before excusing himself and made sure there was someone stationed at the bar and someone prepping orders from the floor before sauntering off through the crowd fluidly.

He slightly altered his attire for opening. Still those high boots. Still those small shorts. Instead of his normal vest he wore a white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a plain cropped vest over it. Leaving the bottom buttons undone on the shirt peeping a naval piercing.

It took a bit longer to get to the table having been stopped a few times. Sometimes dancing through the crowd as it was easier to slip through. Finally arriving he exclaimed "What a turn out! Can I get my favorite band anything special? More jello shots perhaps?" He glanced at the already partially gone tray. He leaned on the frame of the booth as he looked over hoping him stepping away wasn't a recipe for disaster. He would get back to it shortly.
