It hadn’t been that long since she had confessed her feelings for Kale. And was turned down… Rocky had left in a hurry, before Kale could say anything else. He already had someone. A mortal to boot. Was she not good enough? Rocky had known Kale a long time and the werewolf situation had stirred up feelings the orange haired vampire didn’t even know she had. Maybe it was just an in the moment thing. But then why did she feel so aweful about it? She had made her way back to the city. Where she would go she had no idea. Maybe that new club that just opened up. Perhaps she could find someone who would take her mind off of Kale. It’s not like she had gotten any interest from anywhere else. After a time she finally found it. It seemed rather busy but that was fine for her. That just meant more options. She made her way inside, stopping in the entryway to scan the room. Definitely busy. The Gangrel made her way to the bar and slid onto a stool. Ordering a drink from the nearby bartender. Her head turned just slightly, gold cat like eyes narrowing just a bit. There seemed to be a lot of dogs around here. Rocky wondered what that was all about. But the thought was quickly chased away when the bartended returned with her beer. Rocky took a nice long drink.

Another night on duty, and another crowd to keep watch over. To say the Gangrel took his job seriously was an understatement -- Beau had been born to work, and when he was given a task or job to do, he did it with vigor. Work hard, play hard, was Beau's outlook .... and when not doing either, he was just happy to spend time with the Pack. While he wasn't known to make trouble, he wasn't known to discourage it either, and happily followed most of the group into whatever trouble they got themselves into.
Lately, they'd been stationed at the Sin Bin, and that was just as well for Beau. He enjoyed keeping an eye on crowds, and was more than happy to help wrangle anyone who seemed out of place or troublesome. Some nights were relatively quiet, with little to do; other nights were a bit more exciting.... Unfortunately, tonight wasn't proving to be one of them.
The music was blaring, and the heavy beat of the bass reverberated through every room. Beau was sporting a tight black t-shirt, with his usual adornments. How he navigated the room with his mass of fluffy hair almost always in his eyes was a mystery, but the Gangrel managed with ease--only periodically turning his head this way or that so it freed one blue or brown eye for a closer look. Thankfully, though, everything seemed quiet... no trouble, no drama, and nothing for him to do.
So it was, he picked his way over to the bar for a well-deserved drink. He was a good boy, after all... and while his shift wasn't exactly over, he doubted anyone would miss him. Besides, it wasn't like he was leaving the club -- if trouble brewed, he'd be there. Navigating over to the bar, he ordered a beer, and waited. He couldn't help but notice the woman next to him -- she had a shock of orange hair, and cream and black fur, and something about her put his Beast on guard.
.... was she a threat? Maybe. But she wasn't causing any trouble.
Huh.
It didn't occur to him that the reason she'd caught his eye had nothing to do with business, and everything to do with pleasure -- she was cute! That thought would hit him like a ton of bricks...later.
Right now, he decided to follow his gut and just keep a tab on things. "Cheers, mate," he commented, soon as the beer he'd ordered was handed to him. He gave her a tip of his glass, before taking a long drink himself. Yep. Just being a good boy.
Yayoi I'm sorry -- he's cute but sometimes a little uh... dumb. In the best ways. Not a complete himbo though. LOL

She had glanced at him out of the corner of her eye when he approached the bar next to her. Obviously one of those who was hanging around the joint. Although being an Elder she didn’t recognized him as one of her own clan. Rocky had never met him before or even seen him around. Unless he was like super new. s**t, she was really failing at this Elder thing. Why had she left him talk her into it, oh right. How did he even see with all that hair hanging in his face? If he were attacked would he even know where the threat was at? Such a liability. But she had to admit that it meant a certain….charm. Rocky sniffed once when he tipped his glass in her direction. “Whatever you say, pup.” Her voice was smokey with the smallest hint of an edge to it. He smelt different. Way different than Kale but then the other elder was more bird like than cat or dog. Not like them. Finishing her first drink she ordered another, lifting two fingers before pointing at her glass as she caught the bartender’s eye. An orange claw tapping against the rim of her empty glass. The female glanced at him again, ok the hair was kind of cute she had to admit, but why let it hang in his face all the time? Not like she was going to ask, she didn’t have that kind of familiarity with him. Of course, cute was just scratching the surface. She could appreciate his larger frame and that tight black shirt that clung to his form. No, no. She was here to drown her sorrows. Ok, maybe not sorrows she was more angry than upset. There was no point in getting distracted from what she had ultimately come here to do.

Beau gave a low chuckle at the woman's response, and if his tail wagged just a little in pleasure, it couldn't be helped. He wasn't exactly a difficult read with his body language, and right now, he was mostly at ease. Pup. Ha! He couldn't help but be amused by the quip, even if it was something he'd been called plenty of times during his unlife. "Probably just here to drink quietly, eh?" He mused, a fanged, good-natured grin crossing his features. He'd take the hint.
Honest he would.
Beau wasn't put off by the edge in her voice, or the claws that tapped at the glass. If anything, he found it all the more intriguing -- her scent was different than the rest of the gang, and he still wasn't entirely clear if she might try to start something or why the power she exuded had him both in awe and slightly intimidated. Thankfully, Beau didn't think too much about it. At this point, he was more than happy to keep an eye on her, and whatever happened, happened.
He took a long drink of his own frothy beverage, his pleasure clear by yet another little tail wag. Unfortunately, he wasn't satisfied with just sitting quietly, even if she was... and without thinking, the fluff-for-brains Gangrel started up again. "Here to drink alone or... waiting for anyone?" He asked, curious. He'd never seen her before, and he was often making the rounds. He'd even come to recognize some of the groupies and regulars, little blosseming couples, little hateships... He saw it all. But he'd never seen Rocky before.
Beau was more than happy to be a one-man welcome wagon.

Obviously he wasn’t just going to up and leave. He didn’t look like a bouncer but for some reason she got the distinct feeling he was watching her. She hasn’t come here to start anything, she’d come to forget. Maybe drown in a few dozen beers and go home with someone. Anyone that might want her. To be honest she didn’t feel all that wanted at the moment anyhow. An ear twitched at his low chuckle. Either he was really dumb and that fluff wasn’t just on the outside or he just didn’t care. When her next beer came she sipped at it, holding the top of the glass with her claws as she drank. “Who wants to know and why?” Gold eyes lidded halfway as she settled her glass back onto the bar. “Looking for a good time big boy?” A single claw came away from her glass and ran down his arm. “I doubt you could keep up even if you tried.” Turning her head to regard him fully now, her pupils narrowed to thin slits. This male would do one of two things. He would either retreat or he was such a fluff brain he’d think she were serious. Maybe she was, maybe she wasn’t. There was only one way to find out. However it played out perhaps she would just go with the flow. It’s not like she had anything else do at this point in time. She had been contemplating her role among other things. Why was she even here? Turning back to her drink she tapped a claw against the glass again. “If you must know no I’m not waiting for anyone. In fact since you asked I’m trying to forget about someone if you don’t mind.” She sounded more sour than she felt she had any right to be. It was her own fault anyway. Time wasted. For what? Nothing.

Beau's ears lifted ever so slightly as she asked who wanted to know, but before he had a chance to respond, she ran a claw down his arm. It sent a surprising jolt through him, and not just because it was another's touch. If his brain could have short-circuited it might well have, but thankfully, there was very little for it to actually break.
Instead, his fanged smile grew, and he gave a low chuckle. "Was only looking for a drink, and maybe your name, but I'm not not against the idea," he stated. "Could be fun... 'specially if you're trying to forget about someone." There was something intriguing about the stranger. She was different from the rest of the pack, with her shock of orange hair, her golden eyes, and cream coat. Whether or not she'd take him up on the offer remained to be seen... She could well turn him down.
He didn't even know her name, but maybe that was how she'd prefer it. If... she was serious. And if one of her claws could make the hair stand up on edge, what would her actual touch do? Beau wasn't against the idea of finding out. Despite his fluff, there was still a Beast within him, and a capable predator. He was a capable hunter when left to his devices, and had little trouble giving in to the thrill of his more base nature -- hunting, killing, screwing, surviving.
"I'm Beau, by the way." She could remain anonymous if she wished.

Some males found her forwardness quite intimidating. They could dish it out but taking it was another story. They’d try and corner you but once you gave it right back they turned tail and ran. Her small size tended to throw them for a loops There just was something about this male that was different. Rocky wasn’t sure what it was just yet. Her lips pursed and she turned on the bar stool so that her elbows could rest back on the bar. “Not against it Hm?” The orange haired vampire gave a mild shrug. “You’re right, no better way. Ok, Beau I’m game.” A small fang slipped from beneath her upper lip as a smirk played upon her lips. “Are you sure your other puppy pals won’t mind you leaving?” She jerked her chin towards the group that smelt similar to him killing about like they were some kind of security detail. “Or are you a big enough dog they won’t care?” Downing her second beer Rocky finished it off before settling the glass down a bit harshly so it this against the bar. “The names Rocky.” She didn’t care weather or not he knew her name, likely if she stayed away from here she might never see him again. That was fine. ******** it. Pushing herself up off the bar stool she locked a hip to the side. “Are you comin’? Or were you just all talk?”

Well, well, well...
His night was getting better and better. It seemed as if the other vampire was actually going to take him up on it. The grey and white Gangrel hadn't actually expected to find himself headed out with anyone, much less a fierce beauty -- but he'd meant what he'd said -- if she was game, he was, too.
"They won't think twice," he mused. "I was just wrapping up my shift anyway-- we're not hurtin' for numbers tonight." Perhaps if it was another night, or if some of the pups were off-duty or assigned other tasks by the Sheriff or Gramsci, he wouldn't be able to slip off... but Beau had done his time. If he caught hell for it later, so be it. Better to beg forgiveness than ask permission -- it wasn't like him to skip out, after all.
Throwing back the last of his drink, he tossed down enough to cover their drinks, and a tip, before rising from his spot. He gave one last quick look around, before turning his fur-covered eyes back on Rocky. If he drank in her figure, it couldn't be helped. She was certainly smaller than him, by far, but she was a force to reckon with. Even her name was nothing but edges. Sharp, fierce, deadly. She was his opposite in almost every way, from what little about her knew...
But that didn't scare him in the least. If anything, he was all the more intrigued.
"There'll be a lot more than just talk once we're out of here," he promised, languidly stepping after her. "Let's get out of here," he encouraged with a smirk. "Your place or mine?"
Who knew where she was from? Luckily, he could always take her back to his place, which thankfully wasn't far. They had been renting out apartments not far from the Sin Bin, and with most of the pups working, there wouldn't be the usual chorus of howls, laughter, and shenanigans reverberating through the walls.
Then again, perhaps she had a city dwelling she would prefer. He wasn't picky. All she wanted to do was forget.... Well, Beau would be happy to oblige. He didn't mind being used, especially by a beauty like Rocky. He was fine with a bit of fun and no strings attached.

Rocky shot one singular gold glance back over her shoulder to make sure he was following. She had to admit he just might make her forget but talk was cheap. Rocky was a vampire of action. The show me kind of gal. And he had better show her a real good time, the Elder hated wasting time for something sub par. She had wasted enough waiting around. It was time to move on. If he couldn’t see she was a catch than she’d find someone who did. Kale wasn’t the only piece of a** in town. The cold night air banished those thoughts away with a quickness as she instinctively slipped her hands into the pockets of her leather jacket as she waited for him to join her outside the bar. The cold didn’t bother her in the least. That’s what a thick coat of fur was for. “Mine.” Whatever hole in the wall Rinko sink apartment he was thinking about taking her wouldn’t do. Now, the place she had in mind wasn’t exactly hers. It belonged to some stuffed shirt Ventrue who would remain nameless. Rocky knew there was more booze there as well so she could drink what she wanted. Not like it would be missed. She linked an arm with him and turned left from the bar. Making her way down the street. It wasn’t super far but it was still a little bit of a walk. Her eyes flashed in the low light as her pupils expanded drawing in as much light as they could on this moonlit night. “So what are you like security or somethin’? Seems kinda boring to me standing around all night.” Rocky was just curious. It’s not like she wanted to get to know him or anything like that.

Beau was more than happy to leave the Sin Bin behind. The noise of the night time street was practically silent compared to the din of the club, and he could better focus on the stranger now on his arm. He had no objections to going to her place, wherever that might be. Any risk he was taking on was his own -- he was a big vampire and, despite his fluffy coat, and general chill demeanor, he was strong, and knew how to hold his own. From breaking up brawls or starting them, Beau was confident he could get himself out of any jam he found himself in.
However, right now his mind was more agreeably engaged. With her on his arm, their size difference was all the more stark -- however, he was certain, beyond a doubt, that she could handle herself. She certain didn't seem like a damsel in distress, and he could tell she was not a vampire to take lightly.
"Something like that, yeah," Beau confirmed, breezily. "It's not a bad gig though. Good music, good drinks, and keepin' the Clans and Clanless from causing too much chaos." Honestly, it was more the screaming fans or messy break-ups that caused him the most the trouble. Thus far, nothing too crazy had happened, but he knew it might only be a matter of time. Beau might be a Gangrel but he was also a bit of a pack animal, and he was on the more sociable end of the Clan spectrum.
That didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the solitude, or quieter moments.
"What do you do? Probably less of a city slicker than I am," he mused. He didn't mind. The city life certainly didn't suit every vampire out there, and even Beau needed to cut away from it a time. Country life suited him equally well, when he had the chance for it. Honestly, Beau was just adaptable to his surroundings. He had no preference beyond keeping the Gramsci, the Sherrif, and the rest of his pack happy. He was always eager to please and do nothing but good work....
It would come in handy with Rocky, later, most certainly.

“Seemed kinda boring, just standing around like that.” The club had been rather empty when she was there. There were probably just as many patrons there as were him and his friends. For such a chill place there sure was a lot of security. But then again it had been her first time there so maybe she just came in on a slow night. Maybe she’d go back on another night. But that was something for another night. “You’d be right, I don’t spent much time in the city. As for what I do…” she was an Elder, she did Elder things. But sometimes vampires got a little weird whe. They found out her rank. “Ohhh a little bit of this a little bit of that.” She continued to guide him along the street towards the haven. Soon they’d be there and she could get another drink. And then they could get to the real reason they were there. Rocky would regret nothing, she deserved this. A strong male who just might give her a thrill.

"The work ebbs and flows," he noted with a lackadaisical shrug. It didn't bother him what others thought of his position, he was just happy to be of use. Besides, there was always fun to be had, even when it was just guarding a small group. "Some nights are crazier than others, just depends on the day, who's scheduled to play, whether or not the band shows up with their entourage, and whether any rabble shows up looking for trouble." He'd gotten to break up plenty of fights, but he spent most of his time keeping folks out of areas the weren't meant to be in-- and it always felt all the more crazy when the Graverobbers showed up to party with the patrons.
As they strolled toward her apartment, Beau made small notes about where he was being lead, and what part of the city he might be. It was just habit to the guard Gangrel, but it was also out of a sudden surge of protectiveness. While the stranger he was with was no doubt fierce and tough, he was still with her -- and anyone around Beau would find themselves hanging out with a loyal guardian. Trouble was always around the corner, especially in a city crowded with vampires and unsavory mortals.
At her vague answer, Beau gave a small, deep chuckle. "I see. Sounds captivating," he mused, tail giving a small wag in good humor. He wouldn't push though, or pry. The weren't here to chit-chat anyway, and if his fingers periodically stroked the arm looped within his own, it couldn't be helped. He was more than happy to help her forget about whoever she needed, however best he could.

Just as she thought. She had come in on a zuper slow day. There might be more excitement on another day. But it was hard to tell which day that would be. And if he could just up and cut them yea it was definitely a slow day. Too bad, Rocky would have loved to watch some nimrods get into it and get their asses thrown out. But then again, if it had been busier maybe she wouldn’t have run into Beau. And then where would she be? Not here at least. Rocky picked up on the sudden change in the air around him. What was that? Was he being protective of her? A smirk played across her black painted lips. It was kind of cute, not that she couldn’t hold her own if something happened. s**t, she had come face to face with a werewolf and survived. “Always.” Being an Elder had its perks and challenges. Right now the perks weren’t all that great but maybe one day. Maybe taking the tank would be fruitful for her. “When you’re an elder you get all the fun jobs.” Her tail swayed slowly back and forth, the feel of his fingers stroking her arm brought forth another smirk. Gold eyes glinting in the lamp light of the street lights. They rounded a corner and Rocky stopped to point at an apartment building about half way down the block. “There it is.” She started walking again, the sooner they got there the sooner they could get down to real business. Hopefully the actual aven owner wasn’t home. But they had never been whenever Rocky crashed there.

"When you're an elder you get all the fun jobs."
The fluff that made up much of Beau's brain began to stir, and he wondered at the statement. Was she implying that she herself was an Elder? If so, he would have been mightily surprised given...well... he was nothing compared to a vampire of such rank and distinction. On the other hand, she could have been simply speaking literally, and her current dullard position, whatever that might be, was nothing to being an Elder. Was she a vampire with ambition? ... most were, come to think about it.
So it was Beau said nothing for a moment as they made their way towards her place. Regardless of which was right, it didn't change Beau's outlook on the evening. She was sharp and tough and his task was to make her forget about whoever and whatever she wanted. Having her on his arm was already a nice change from what he would have been doing at the club... He was eager, and ready for the real fun. "I don't know about any of that," he finally drawled, "But I'll see to it you have fun tonight. A change from all the this-and-that you're usually stuck doing," he promised, offering her a fanged smirk.
When she pointed out the building, he gave a small whistle under his breath. "Fancy," he noted, though it wouldn't have mattered to Beau where they went. He wasn't particular but from the looks of it, he'd be in a cushier place than his own spot. She either had connections, money, power, or all three... His brain slowly went back to her comment. Maybe she actually was an Elder. Huh. Fancy that.
Thankfully, Beau wasn't the sort to worry or get worked up over nothing. She could well eat him alive, but that was worth risking for a stolen night. If he could be of use to her, all the better for it. "Glad it's not too far." If there was a note of anticipation laced within his words, it couldn't be helped. Beau was eager to get to know Rocky better, in all the best ways.

If he didn’t ask she wasn’t going to tell. Let him sit on whatever information he might glean from her words. Rocky wasn’t one to hide her status but she also wasn’t one who went around flaunting it. Not like she was anything special. The whole reason she took the offer was because there was no one else to fill the roll. She could keep up with even the largest of males when it came to the clan and she would rub it in their noses if she so fancied. A smirk of her own free at his words and she clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth. “I’m a show me kind of gal. Don’t tell me, show me.” Her smirk only grew wider, curling the corners of her black lips and golden cat eyrs glinting dangerously. Almost predatory. Hey, if he was eager to please then she’d let him. Rocky never said no to a good time. Well, maybe depending on what or who the good time was. As they reached the apartment building she guided them through the front door into the small lobby where a set of stairs leading up and down lay before them. “We’re going up. We’ve got top floor accommodations thanks to a wealthy Ventrue benefactor who may or may not know I know of this place.
