Does anyone else buy a specific type of aesthetic that others dont really like? I've been getting a lot of orange and candy corn lately to try to make more weird but interesting outfits for runway.
If you do, what aesthetic do you usually chase after? I'm doing candy corn since it's one of the few things my allergic to everything a** can eat.

I usually stick to my ethereal aesthetic.
But every now and then, I experiment on scary and bloody avatars.
Some people are into that type of look, but I'm usually not. So it's nice
to play around with creepy and dark looks from time to time. emotion_bigheart

There are so many cool color sets that don't have many items, I love the colors in windbreaker and find myself trying to match it all the time
otherwise I feel like I make all the same stuff everyone else does xd

I was always into creative writing as a kid and my way of creating avatars is telling a visual story like creative directors do for magazines.

I'm someone who loves to write with very limited drawing capabilities, so Gaia was originally a way to create characters that I couldn't otherwise. That being said, I enjoy the challenge of runway as well as some of the random items I get to create a cohesive look, so while I lean more mystical, gothic and ethereal with my designs, I'm not immune to going a completely different direction and going full cutesy, for example. (Though I might add blood or some other unsettling theme here and there, heh.) I think intentionally grabbing items/palettes not commonly used is a clever idea though, it helps you stretch your creative muscles!

I suck at making something beautiful, detailed, real life stuff...and I just plain cant do cute
