OK, how many people have seen the Swiffer Carpet Flick Commercial? It says that the Carpet Flick "fits into spaces easier than a vacuum". Isn't is supposed to be "more easily"? This has been driving me crazy.

I think it's "more easily" as well.

Heh... I tend to tune out commercials. I have to, or I end up growling at the TV.
(And I mean that figureativly, not litterally.)

I don't have cable so I haven't seen it. I don't think it would bug me too much, only because I say that too when I talk. I do try to stop.... just hasn't worked yet hehe.

TV and grammar does not go together.

I haven't seen the commercial, but that does seem right

(Anyway, when my English teacher was ranting about how a McDonalds commercial was using improper English, she says it appeals to the general audience because most people have horrible grammar skills(maybe). That's probably not why they used improper grammar, but it could be)

I do too. I get annoyed at the total lack of imagination.

o_o. I never noticed, but then a gain, I never even listened to it that much. I turn the channel when commericals appear on my television.

i wouldn't say commercials have a lack of imagination-skittles and burger king, for example, often confuse or even scare me-and my family is very weird and scary.

And if it is...that's scary! Catering to illiterate people because there are illiterate people... *shudders at the thought*

This is also why American movies are not as intellectually stimulating as movies made elsewhere (e.g. Canada or England)
